Surprisingly this was my first time at Beaches n Cream and it was perfect time to enjoy the sunny serenity of the beach community and yummy foods! We immediately got ice cream and lots to choose from. I chose Pistachio Toasted Almonds and it was so delicious and perfect on a hot day. Very friendly service from the girls working here. Later we enjoyed crispy French fries and jumbo hot dogs here at the cozy seating area. Of course these foods are overpriced which is usual for these public locations. Loved the away-on-holiday ambiance. It was very relaxing and was chillin' with my friend Tammy. Beautiful place to hang out and enjoy the boardwalk sights and scenery. read more

The issue for me is that the hotdog has about a cup of condiments right in the middle of the dog. Most of which dropped out onto the ground. Total mess. I had actually asked them to hold back on the mustard, because I hate a messy hot dog. It was uncomfortable to eat it like that. The fries were really good. The photo I took was after half of the condiments hit the ground. The truck is very nice and the people are nice. And it so nice to sit on the patio. read more

It's all about the location. Great location, steps from the lake, but unfortunately, your view is obscured by a Offleash dog Park between the boardwalk and the water. Still beautiful. However, the food is very expensive, befitting of the touristic vibe! I haven't sampled much of the food, but one piece of advice... AVOID THE VEGGIE BURGER! Like many places, they feel the need to cook it to death. It was dry as a sawdust patty. Maybe just save up for an ice cream cone, and eat somewhere else. read more

Really cute location but I don't understand why one scoop of ice cream was 8 dollars. I don't like this guest that was clearly a person in a dog costume. It most likely had some of this ice-crém. It was a perfect storm; hot day, strolling on the boardwalk, in need of a restroom that was open during COVID-19 measures, and thirst! Beaches n Cream is a cute pun and a cute place to grab a cool treat on a hot day. This lakeside ice cream shoppe now has an adjacent chip truck. When you're in the ice cream part you can pay for your frozen goods and hot food. Just bring your receipt over to the truck and they'll give you your poutine. Yes, I assume you're smart and are ordering the poutine and not plain fries. Duh. They're doing a fab job of social distancing and keeping the Beaches community safe. read more

Was at Ashbridges Bay Beach today and decided to try out the ice cream place as I had three young kids with me. I've never went in before just always saw it in the distance. They always have a line up. Seems like it's the only ice cream place on the whole boardwalk so maybe this is why they do well. Ice cream is mediocre at best. Sub par soft serve that doesn't taste better than DQ. We ordered three small ice creams in a cup, one small ice cream in a cone and one large ice cream in a waffle cone. Bill was a whopping $30?!?. Next time I will bring my own. For ice cream with zero toppings and soft serve for goodness sake $30 is ridiculous. I don't think my review will hurt them as like I said there is nowhere else to go. read more

It was as ok, the prices are soooo overpriced! It was a hot day and I was desperate so I dropped $8 on a medium sized milkshake (only size they have) to fend off the heat. I shared it with another person so it's enough to satisfy two people, but I could've easily drank it myself. The beauty of it, I guess is that the flavour of the milkshake is whatever ice-cream flavour you want. BUT they add a lot of milk! (Obviously) but I like my milkshakes pretty thick so just an observation. The service is nice, thé person making my drink didn't seem to be that experienced but I think she was training and she was gracious and apologetic about it. The people behind the counter are also very nice, and seemed pleasant. Just a warning though, if you can help it, don't come here since it's a lot of money you'll be spending, plus they only take debit and cash. I saw the meals they had and their burger is $8!! Their poutine is I think $16? If I remember right? But it was in the tens and I saw the size of it and it's not a lot. BUT if you were desperate, just buy the minimum you can and share it and get your fill and a cheaper place. read more

Walking along the boardwalk on a beautiful day - what more can you ask for? Ice cream, of course! My friend and I stopped by for a cone - ended up getting their gelato. I had banana and pistachio. I asked for a single with two flavours, but the girl behind the counter said, "We don't do that. A single is one flavour and a double is two." I guess there's a first time for everything - I've never been told they can't split a single into two flavours. Oh well. The gelato is ok - hit the spot on a sunny day, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

Amazing costumer service. Such a hidden gem on the beach. Grabbed an amazing hazelnut gelato and relaxed on the their Muskoka chairs and enjoyed the view of the lake. Definitely will return. read more

Rating for this business is accurate. I also give it 3 out of 5. This place gets really packed when it is nice and sunny. I got their gelato and a soft serve ice cream. They are both okay, nothing to write review about. If you like to enjoy beach with a ice cream cone on your hand, go here. But if you are a real gelato fan, i would not recommend this place. They do have some outside benches to sit down and relax a bit after a long walk on the beach. Beware of long line up. read more

For the past 8 years Beaches n Cream has never failed to stay open. Time and time again they amaze me with their service and their dedication to their customers. At this moment in time I think they are the only place on the boardwalk that have decided to stay open in spite of the cold weather and snow making things rather difficult. The food is great and the gelato portions are HUGE which is much appreciated, anywhere else gives a tiny amount of gelato for double the price. I recommend this place to everyone! read more

It's an ice cream and gelato place on the boardwalk. They have coffee, soft serve and gelato. Did not notice burgers on the menu nor did anyone order anything other than ice cream. Maybe that is why there is an independent hotdog vendor right outside. Some of the employees were really helpful, while others seemed like they'd rather be elsewhere. I don't think I'd go out of my way to go there, unless I happened to be at the Beaches. No doubt great for the kids, but really nothing special. read more

Well, won't be going there ever again. $8.50 for a frozen cheap burger, so for 4 of us it wasn't cheap. Then, I just caught my 7 year old before he bit into his burger, it was incredibly mouldy. I took it back, and they took the burger out and started putting it in another bun. I said no, I want my money back, as none of us are going eat our food. So she gave us back the money for one burger, said sorry, then turned away! Almost $40 for I edible food, and no serious concern from the staff. read more

The service was fine nothing rude or aggressive, but the prices are way too high for the quality you get...like I paid $5 for a soft serve vanilla cone. At that price point, they should be able to afford to take at least VISA/MC instead of just Interac and cash. I mean if you really wanna experience by the beach, the Ed's Real Scoop on Queen is not too far of a walk from this location and their prices are more in line with the quality you get, while taking debit/credit/cash. read more

Excellent atmosphere. I am not the biggest fan of ice cream, but everyone I have been here with says their soft serve is like nothing they have ever had before, and that the gelato is pretty good too. The real winners here are the house made donuts, but you need to get here early, because they are only made once a day (in the morning) and usually sell out quite fast. They are comparable to Krispy Kreme in their simplicity, but are of much higher, fresher quality. If they have not sold by the end of the day, sometimes they sell you a box of 6 for $3... (but keep that a secret!) It is also worth noting that their outdoor seating is wonderful, and kept clean. Dog walkers are welcome to use the business' water trough at their convenience (even if not a customer) - it is kept fresh and changed frequently. read more

This place is run by the the rudest people I have ever encountered. To the point where they made my wife cry with their belligerent and spiteful attitude because of their miscommunication on what was being ordered. Accused my wife of throwing her debit card at them, when in reality it slid off the counter due to wind. Then stated "we should be careful down here" which I believe is a direct threat of physical harm. Their ice cream is overpriced and I will definitely tell everyone I know not to support such a toxic environment that is not welcoming and completely against the Beaches charm. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I have never encountered such rudeness. I would give this place minus stars as they are not deserving of one star- I couldn't post this otherwise without giving one.
