If you do this, consider it a death sentence to your home. I had a small water leak in my kitchen. The plumber removed a portion of drywall to find the leak and we saw that we had a spot of mold about the size of a potato. I called my insurance company and filed a homeowners claim. Elements came out about a week later and said they'd get started the following week. The first thing they did, was have me sign this form I spoke about. I figured it was standard and that it was just part of the process. I was wrong. Once I signed, Elements told my insurance company is was a $10,000 job and that they needed to basically destroy a 10x10 foot area in my home... which they did. They did this, solely to scam money out of my insurance company. When they told me they were going to basically ruin my house, I of course told them "no". Then they told me that once a mold claim is opened on a home, that the home could not be sold unless the mold claim was officially certified / closed. Basically, this meant that I HAD to let them ruin my home, or else I wouldn't be able to sell my house in the future. This was a lie but, I didn't know any better at the time. Anyways, they thoroughly ruined my whole kitchen. Removed 2 walls, ripped up carpet, removed tile and busted my kitchen cabinets and ruined my counter tops. All this for a spot the size of my hand, that could have been fixed in about 5 minutes with some anti-microbial spray. 5 months later, my kitchen still isn't back in order. I had multiple contractors come out and none could match my existing cabinets or flooring. The worst part is that the Elements workers were so sloppy, that they damaged parts of my house that weren't even in the work area. The bumped equipment into my walls, they banged up my front door and they ruined my floors in multiple spots OUTSIDE OF THE WORK AREA. When I called them about it, they just ignored me (since my insurance company was paying them, I had no leverage and they didn't care how they treated me) So now I've spent thousands to fix my kitchen ... my cabinets no longer match, the guys at Elements broke my granite counter tops in multiple spots, and my floors need to be complete redone... all because Elements wanted a bigger check from my insurance company. Companies like this, are the reason the cost of insurance is so high. These people are professional scam artists.

The cleaner was here 3.5 hours and did a hit and a miss. Whatever cleaner was used etched the paint on the two wood toilet seats, had to replace them after they left. The two plastic seats weren't damaged. The two wood seats were only a couple years old, and previously only wiped with a damp cloth. The etched paint was still wet, so I'm 100% certain it was whatever cleaner they used, probably the toilet bowl cleaner. Sink still had food residue in it Downstairs tub not cleaned at all, had sand in it Only 2 of the 3 counters in the kitchen wiped Neither table wiped, still had crumbs on them No garbage collected/taken out No nightstands, dressers, or any other flat surfaces dusted. Paid for window cleaning, web site says ladder with 2 steps ok. No ladder used, top 1/4 of 1st floor windows not cleaned. Laundry room floor not swept or mopped Laundry room counters/machines not wiped Hardwood floors vacuumed, including the hardwood in the kitchen, expected a swiffer wet or something more than vacuuming it. Runners not picked up for the vacuuming, still had dirt under them. Deep cleaning includes wiping cabinet fronts, cabinets still have food splatter on them. Deep cleaning says wiping baseboards, they were dusted, not wiped. Deep cleaning includes windows, door handles, and switches, none done. So, $140 an hour for cleaning 4 bathrooms, some vacuuming, partial window cleaning, and a hit and a miss everywhere else. My 16 year old son, which prefers to sleep most of the time, jokingly offered to do the same for $400.

Everyone can acknowledge that "carpet cleaning" includes shampooing the carpet, typically with a machine of sorts utilizing water and some sort of cleaning solution, right? Steven had his team of 3 come over, and they were very polite. This is where it gets a little weird. They spot cleaned with the bottle you can buy at dollar general and spread a bunch of scented baking soda over the carpet. The spots came out, which it wasn't very bad to begin with.... But then they vacuumed.... Then left. I'm sorry, but $140 isn't worth what I could do on my own for $20. I reached out to Steven about my frustration that the carpet wasn't cleaned, and at first he wanted to argue with me and say that what I requested was done. No, Steven, it wasn't. Steven then told us they used a Bissell turbo clean power brush pet cleaner which vacuums and cleans the carpet.... To which we sent him photo evidence of them cleaning and leaving with just a regular vacuum. I requested half my money back, which I thought was more than fair, but he refused and told me all he could do was send someone out another day to finish what I requested. Call me crazy, but I don't want to move all of my furniture, leave my dogs outside the whole time, and make sure my kid won't try to run through while they're working again. I planned for that tonight. Not tonight and another night. And planned to actually have my carpets cleaned, not just "spot cleaned" & vacuumed. I would definitely proceed with caution! UPDATE: They did refund me $70, which was nice. However, after they left, we cleaned our vacuum canister and the below picture is what was in our carpet after they "cleaned what I requested." I even asked the manager if he would be happy with paying $70 for a cleaning only for his own vacuum to pick up this much afterwards. His answer was "no" but apparently they're happy keeping my $70.
