I dropped off some auto parts on 121725 and was told it would take two weeks to do. Being it was close to Christmas, I gave them the benefit of doubt and called the first week of January to check on the progress. Left a message and was never called back. Called two days later and got the same result. Talked to someone finally last week and was told they were checking to see if the exhaust parts would hold up to the heat and would be contacted the next day. No phone call. Waited another week and finally went in today and picked up my parts that had not been touched. Was never even asked why I wanted them back or offered a reason why the work was not done. No communication skills and it seems they do not know how to use a phone or return calls. Would not recommend at all. Took the parts to 904 Powderworx and told them the issue, not only are they coating the parts, they have heard this same story about them and picked up lots of new customers because of it. read more

We just picked up our lawn furniture from Atlantic Powder Coating today. They did a beautiful job. We had it powder coated and they also offer the service to re-sling lawn furniture. I wish I had a before picture. This was expensive furniture when new, so we decided to preserve it. I'm so glad we did. They offer many different colors for the powder coating and a large choice of material for the cloth. I don't recall the woman's name who helped us. She was so kind and obviously loves her job. She was very helpful when we were attempting to select colors. I highly recommend them. read more

I took a vintage medicine cabinet to them to be refurbished. I was told it would take two weeks to complete. Then I was told it may be closer to 3 weeks. That was fine with me. Three weeks went by, then 5, then two months. I was continually calling them to try to get my medicine cabinet back. I was told it was done and it just needed to be put back together. I was told that every week for three weeks. They finally delivered the medicine cabinet and it had been put back together wrong. It was crooked and there were sharp metal edges sticking out as a result. If someone grabbed the door by the edge to close it they could slice their hand open. They took it back to fix it. I'm now stuck calling and calling and calling again. It's always "we'll deliver it tomorrow" or "we'll be sure to be there on Monday." They stopped answering the phone - it just went to voicemail. The owner (possibly manager?) eventually called me back and apologized and said he'd personally ensure it was delivered on Monday or Tuesday of next week. You guessed it, it wasn't delivered. Then they told me that their delivery driver had a heart attack and they would need a few extra days to make arrangements. I didn't hear back from them. I called again and they said they'd have it to me on Monday. Again, no delivery. I called again and the woman who works there said she would make sure it was "delivered today even if I have to deliver it myself." You guessed it, it wasn't delivered. I've now been calling all morning and it isn't even going to voicemail. They're simply not answering their phone anymore. After two hours of calling this morning someone finally answered the phone. I told her who I was and why I was calling and she burst out laughing like this was the funniest thing in the world. She then said she'd bring it to me herself. She arrived about 30 minutes ago and refused to bring the cabinet into the house, or even take it out of the car, until I'd paid for it. I explained to her that it had been previously delivered and there had been problems with it. I couldn't pay for it until I had the chance to look it over and make sure it was completed properly. She then insisted that this was a rule and she wouldn't allow it to leave her car until after I'd paid. I think it's pretty clear that there was something wrong with the cabinet and they wanted to get my money before I had a chance to see the problem. This is when I just reached my breaking point with all this nonsense and I went back in my house. There's really no point in arguing about this. It's clear that there is some defect in their work and they aren't going to fix it. Nothing else makes any sense. It's completely illogical to deliver something and refuse to allow the customer to see it and inspect it prior to payment if there's nothing wrong it. Especially since there had been a problem the last time it was delivered. Avoid this company at all costs! They are extraordinarily unprofessional. I've really never had a customer service experience this poor. They are just blatantly lying to me, and I STILL don't have my cabinet back. We're in the 4th month of this nonsense and it's now clear to me that I'm just not getting my medicine cabinet back. Again, avoid this company! Some of the reviews listed here are positive, but there are also a bunch of reviews like mine. It's Russian Roulette. You have no way of knowing if you'll be one of the people they screw over. It isn't worth the stress and aggravation. Don't take the chance just find another company to work with. read more

I like dealing with Harold, he's a straight shooter and I've been impressed with each and every business transaction. I took some vintage automobile parts to them for coating. What they didn't tell me was that the pot metal parts would have a problem when they were put into the oven. Something called out gassing? The parts looked terrible when I got them back and when I confronted them about the problem they acted like it was me who caused it. But this is only part of it they also damaged my grill and one of my taillights. When I asked about that they were not concerned at all. He said he would redo the parts but they would come out the same, so why would I let them do it? After consulting with many other Powder coating places they all have said the same thing. That they would NEVER do pot metal parts and that he shouldn't have excepted the job. It's cost me almost 900.00 the have the mess they made corrected. read more

I called and spoke with a pleasant gentleman named Harold, who turned out to be the owner. I explained that I was interested in getting my rims for my car powdercoated. He gave me a fair price over the phone and stated the wheels would take a few days to be ready. He explained I was responsible in taking the rims off myself, as his insurance did not cover liability for a vehicle. I went and bought a jack and four jack stands and took the wheels off myself. Harold informed me the wheels would be prepped and ready by Tuesday at 6am if I wanted to pick them up early. I asked a friend to give me a ride ( my vehicle is on jack stands !) and I scheduled off work and headed to Atlantic Powder Coating, excited to see my "new glossy black rims." After a 30 minute drive, I entered and asked Harold for my rims. He replied, "Which ones are yours again?" He went to the back and asked his techs for the wheels. He said he got them confused with a few others, and "I promise to have them ready by 3pm." I explained that I got a ride from a friend to get there and it was difficult to take off work. He said, "How far are you? I will have a truck deliver your wheels." Well it's now 5:30pm, I just got off the phone and he said the wheels would be ready tomorrow. Uber disappointed, as I was wanting to do more business w him. I wanted to do patio furniture and other projects, but now I do not need another headache.
