Beachside Dental will take really great care of you from walking into their office, getting your teeth worked on, and leaving their office. The ladies in the front are all very welcoming and make sure you are always taken care of. Susie always takes extra time out of her day to make sure my appointments are set and always puts a smile on my face. She goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect. So, my past dental office recommended me a deep cleaning for $400 cash because my insurance didn't cover it. Im so glad that I wanted a second opinion and kept searching and found Beachside Dental because the dentist here said that I don't really need the deep cleaning service. Staffs were nice and dentist checked my teeth very carefully. Highly recommend. Also, the dental hygienist-Lin did a very good job cleaning my teeth. They have repeatedly over charged me. I originally paid for upper and lower braces and later it was obvious that lower braces were not needed, but they refused to refund me for the lower braces. Yesterday they charged me $300. For a procedure covered by insurance and my husband unknowingly paid, but when I called and complained they refused to reimburse the whole amount. They are thieves. Worst experience I've ever had in any type of medical operation. The staff is not friendly whatsoever and has the stupidest paper work I've ever seen they have a questionnaire with about 120 different questions on it. They want you to mark yes or no on all of them and. Rather than being logical and only marking the ones applicable to you they want you to mark the ones that are not applicable to you. I drew a line through all of them and they wanted me to redo it. The place is an absolute joke. I would never recommend anyone go here ever. read more

Beware of this place , they will manipulate you into getting nothing but root canals just so they can fraud medi-cal . They nurse told me get a job and doctor silva physically pushed me out the door with his belly, when I started telling other patients to beware, guess what they all were getting root canals too . This place does insurance fraud by doing root canals when not needed . I wish I never went there. And doctor silva said he wish I was never his patient. Very unprofessional. I filed a complaint woth the dental board of California also. I can't let this place keep destroying people's teeth because they want to do insurance fraud. I hope one day they face justice for their malpractice. It should be illegal to destroy ppls teeth for money gain. Charma is a b.... Dr silva. I'm not that person that writes reviews but I'm extremely disappointed in the dentist. They ruined my teeth completely. I came for two crowns five minutes after I leave temporary crowns fell off and I came back he made me wait over an hour And there being very rude I highly recommend you find a better place the doctor just shaved my tooth and left there I was never in this much pain for two weeks with my temporary after I came for my permanent crown. Apparently they put it in wrong so instead of fixing the issue they told me we can refund you this procedure because we messed up. They admitted that they messed up now I'm with the crooked crown. I had to go to another dentist and pay over 2500 to fix this issue, I highly recommend you not to look for the best price because this dentist is the worst experience I've ever had in my entire life. Worst orthodontist in town. Only comes in 2 days a month, making it extremely difficult to schedule. If you have a conflict you get bumped out 2 -4 more weeks. Waited way too long to remove our sons braces. Also the staff always mixes things up and is not very nice. Dr. Mehrdad is amazing. My family has been seeing him for a year now. My son had a broken front tooth extracted and had an implant put in. Very little discomfort. Unfortunately, I recently needed a front tooth extracted too with a bone graph and am waiting on my implant. Almost zero discomfort. This office has every specialty in house. They do dental CT scans in house! I have been dealing with other existing implants for over 30 years. Going to the labs for scans, oral surgeons for extractions, dentists for restoration. I only need to go to one location for now on. Yay. Dr. Mehrdad is very caring and does multiple scans to be certain the implant is ready to put the tooth on. No rushing. He is very caring that the temporary is comfortable and color matched. I was able to qualify for a 0% interest finance plan over 2 years, so I was able to start work right away. We have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seated. The office staff is nice and efficient. I am grateful to have found this dental group. read more

Beware of Deceptive Practices at Dr. Silva's Dental Practice! I recently visited Dr. Silva's dental office after experiencing a dental emergency. Let me tell you, my experience was far from satisfactory. Here's what happened: About a month ago I bit into a very hard tortilla chip and it broke a crown off I had done about 5 years ago. I had not been to the dentist in 4 years because my dentist that I loved retired and I had not yet taken the time to find a new one. My wife and kids have been going to Beach Side Dental for a while now and even though we have different insurances I decided to try this dentist, his name is Dr. Silva. All I really needed was for him to glue the crown back on. So, I made an appointment... The wait time at the office was excessive, clocking in at around 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. Upon finally being called in, I was subjected to unnecessary X-rays, despite simply needing my crown reattached. They said it was free to do the X-rays and they had to be done. After the X-rays I waited for another 15-20 minutes for the visit to begin. Dr. Silva's demeanor was concerning from the start. Instead of addressing my immediate concern, he launched into a spiel about needing extensive dental work, citing wear and tear and alleged cavities. "you got a lot of wear and tear" "you're going to need a whole new set of tires" "has anyone ever told you you're a grinder?" I told him no, I am not a grinder. What struck me as odd was his lack of thoroughness in diagnosing cavities - no poking with sharp tools as I'd experienced before. When I questioned him about reattaching the crown, he dismissed it as a risk, claiming it could be inhaled if it came off. So I left without my crown being glued back on and instead a bill for the future work of doing 4 total crowns and 2 cavities. Feeling uneasy about the situation, I sought a second opinion from another dentist, the new owner of my previous dentist's practice. To my relief, this dentist found no cavities and deemed the need for crowns unnecessary. He did say there were some stains on my teeth that technically could be called a cavity but they were not cavities. He said I did not need any crowns either. It was clear to me that Dr. Silva's diagnosis was dubious at best. My suspicions heightened when thinking about the extensive work Dr. Silva had recommended for my family, including root canals and cavity fillings. I am now questioning all the work my family has done with him. My son had "6 Cavities" and had a baby root canal done. My daughter just had 2 root canals done and was also in need of 8 cavities filled by Dr. Silva. After this realization, I asked my wife for her list of providers and made an appointment for my daughter to get a second opinion on the "8 Cavities" Dr. Silva said she needed. The 2 root canals were already done, nothing we can do about that and no way to know if it was needed or not. My daughter went last week to get the second opinion. The new dentist said she had zero cavities. ZERO! Dr. Silva's practice embodies everything one fears in a healthcare provider - prioritizing financial gain over patient well-being. If there were a way to hold him accountable for his deceptive practices, I would pursue it vigorously. Unfortunately, the evidence disappears once the procedures are completed. Sadly the patients are left to bear the burden of unnecessary stress, pain, and financial strain. In conclusion, I urge prospective patients to exercise caution when considering Dr. Silva's dental services. Trust your instincts and seek second opinions to avoid falling victim to his unethical practices. read more

Shoutout to Eva who works in the front office at Beachside Dental. I have known of her within the office and had my first face to face interaction with her today. I typically have Saturday appointments and I came in today for a root canal consultation. The doctor listened to my concerns and quickly got me set up with Eva for the financial breakdown and scheduling of my appointment for the root canal. I struggle with severe dental anxiety and the staff at this office always takes the time to throughly explain what to expect for procedures and anticipated financial expenses to set me at ease for what is to come. Excellent experience! I have a dentist office through my insurance which I use but I found this place on a local HB ad for teeth whitening. Since I had a recent teeth cleaning and recent exam/ checkup, I sent my documents to them to ensure I didn't run into additional costs (which I had read on previous reviews, so this can be avoided with some due diligence.) The ladies in the office were friendly, the wait time was fairly short. From appointment time- out the door was just under 2 hours. I believe the one who whitened my teeth was Charlotte; she walked me through the service, packed my mouth quickly and more importantly, comfortably.. she was awesome. where do i start ? i am realizing more as time passes that they practically ruined my teeth . susie lied about costs and got me signed up . dr frank did 5 crowns that fell off constantly and the poor work produced the worst head and neck pain i ever experienced. Dr silva tried to fix the damage but couldn't . they gave me money back and just sent me on my way with 5 crowns that all had problems . they tried for almost 5 months to fix the issues but couldn't . the assistant will make your temp crown that will fall off in 5 minutes when you leave the office . the owner hides like a coward and never addressed my problems. they lied about owner not being there when i asked to speak with him . i made over 20 visits during this nightmare dental experience ! they ruined my teeth , i use to have great teeth . i still can't eat properly till this day and i'm thinking i will always have problems . i am in process of redoing all my crowns slowly with another dentist ! my teeth have huge gaps from the deep clean which they will recommend ! they will do a poor job at the deep clean and create gaps where food will get stuck constantly ! these guys are a joke. your teeth are intimate so you should avoid this place at all costs . their prices are cheap but their skill level is amateurish . they will ruin your teeth ! it's not worth the discount . my permanent crowns even fell off several times . several crowns ! they just stuck them back in to fall off again ! customer service is poor from front desk to owner. susie the office manger is a sneaky little girl who will do anything including lying to get your business , watch out for her and get everything in writing . they treated me so poorly that i must warn others . look at my pics posted of permanent crowns that fell off . they redid all 5 crowns up to 3 times each crown almost .
