As someone who somewhat recently decided to prioritize my health and take better care of myself, I was nervous about returning to the dentist after a long pandemic hiatus. From my very first visit, every staff member I encountered made me feel comfortable and cared for. Dr. Ibrahim helped identify that I was grinding my teeth, something I wasn't even fully aware of (that's why my jaw was constantly sore!), and fitted me with a night guard that has helped protect my teeth from further wear. Janice has been incredibly thorough and attentive during my periodontal maintenance appointments, always taking the time to explain everything and ensure I'm comfortable. When they recently discovered my first cavity, I was surprised by how quick and easy the treatment was. The entire process took less than 20 minutes, and it was completely pain free. Most recently, I needed to have a crown replaced, which made me anxious. Dr. Dadafarin was absolutely incredible. She has a remarkable ability to put patients at ease and make what could be a stressful experience feel effortless. She and Bart worked seamlessly together, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. I came in on a Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. and was back home by 10:30 with a perfectly fitted permanent crown. No temporary crown, no multiple appointments, and best of all, no pain. If you have any anxiety about visiting the dentist, I cannot recommend Beach Dental enough. Every member of the team is professional, personable, compassionate, and highly skilled. I had an appointment for x-ray, checkup and cleaning (deep cleaning). The Hygienist, Lena and the dentist recommended deep cleaning and laser treatment. My insurance covered the deep cleaning but not the laser treatment, which I refused it. This has upset the Hygienist and she told me that she can't do it today but I have to reschedule it. I told her that I was scheduled for it and that she needs to do it. I asked to see the Dentist, a manager or the owners, but they were all busy. She asked me to come back the next day but I told her that I was busy. She then mentioned that I refused to come back. I told her that I'll be setting in the chair waiting for the dentist. Then a front office person came and talked to me. I told her that I was scheduled it and that I don't want to come back. She agreed and instructed her hygienist to do it, maybe in one or two sessions. Finally the hygienist came back and asked me to go to another room. She told me that she was fast and thorough and that she maybe able to do it in one session. About 25 minutes the full mouth deep cleaning was completed. I asked the front desk about how long it should take and I was told 1.5-2 hours. When I told him that it was less than .5 hours then his answer was that the time quoted included laser and since I didn't do the laser, then that exit. I've been going to this dental practice for over a year now and they never disappoint, whether it's a cleaning, oral surgery, or crowns. The office is clean, modern & welcoming. My last trips were real bad. Staff unorganized, they overbooked and it took 3.5 hours to to get out of there. 2/3 of my spine is fused and dental chairs are NOT built for comfort. I was bed ridden for a week and had to use my walker. Then they messed up the billing and I essentially got build twice. Delta sent me a check, instead of them. Beach Dental said they would refund my money, $ 250, the overage. Never got it. One month ago today, I called 15 minutes before closing. They picked up, then disconnected. I called back and George answered. He was rude and it sounded like everyone was standing behind me talking loud. George was only half listening while engaging in conversation with the ladies. He said the office manager would call me back. Never happened. I am very disappointed and will not return. May have to take them to court to get my $250. read more

I regret ever stepping foot inside Beach Dental Group -- they are unethical, unorganized, and completely misleading. NEVER OPEN CREDIT with SMILE GENERATION which they will push you to open, I went from owing $700 to $1,500 for cementing a temporary crown that had fallen off. Note, the temporary crown was done by a previous dentist yet they charged me for it was their work. They also have students doing 75% of the work while you sit in agony in the dentist chair. I went there for a cracked tooth back in December of last year. The visit went well, the Dr is really friendly. I got my plan of care from Josh on the way out. I went over it a month or so later because the price of $6,500 scared me off. For 2 root canals with crowns.. Seemed high. So I emailed Josh about a couple questions I had, Without answering any of my questions he sent back a different plan of care. This time a little different, to which, I had questions. I replied back with my questions (twice), with no answer. So I moved on from that place. I requested my x-rays from George and he quickly sent them over. I asked George, where has Josh been he's not getting back to me. Guess what! NO REPLY! I wouldn't recommend this place, there customer service sucks, and the prices are high. I would not recommend using their services. Services are fine its the billing that is the issue. My EOB states I pay $0.00 for cleaning. I was charged $500.00 ad paid it just to find out I should not have. They refuse to refund the money. Their person Renee when discussing the issue talks over you and doe not listen. I've been going to Beach Dental Group on Adams with my husband for a while, but returning to them two years ago was a big mistake. Over the past year, I went for two checkups (every six months), and each time, they insisted on taking X-rays and refused to do a regular cleaning, instead pushing for a deep cleaning that would cost $700. Frustrated, I went to my kids' dentist, where I got a regular cleaning for just $50. Last month in November, I went back to Beach Dental Group, and the same thing happened--they refused to do a regular cleaning. I left and got second opinions from two other dentists who both confirmed that I do not need a deep cleaning. The wait time is ridiculous--expect to wait about an hour for a five-minute visit. Unfortunately, they managed to convince my husband otherwise. He continues to pay them every year and even underwent unnecessary bone-filling surgery based on their recommendations. If you want to save your teeth, time, and money, avoid this place or at least get a second opinion before agreeing to anything. I will never go back. read more

I had the most amazing experience at Beach Dental!! I hate going to the dentist and I had to have a gum procedure, but everyone there was incredibly kind, caring, supportive and efficient! The Xray Tech was an outstanding communicator and really into his job! It is what I feared - second opinion from a respected dentist in Newport Beach - crown is not done well. Lots of cement left behind causing inflammation and there is a lip/shelf on crown that doesn't fit correctly so dentist recommends I do a new crown to avoid decay. So I've had this crown for one year and need a replacement. It will cost me another $1,800. read more

I travel 1200 miles from Dallas to see them. I started using them when we lived in Huntington and have used them for a decade or 3. I have seen a lot of dentists in my 86 years (bad teeth) and they are the only dentist I trust and can afford. They have cleaned, filled, pulled, and surgically removed under sedation ( put me to sleep). Fady Ibrahim is an excellent DDS. I'm sorry for those that have to go through this experience! Marcos Magar dds., I can't even begin to tell you how unqualified and what a crook this man is. This man told me he wasn't qualified to perform a root canal, therefore referred another dentist for the procedure. When I went to the other dentist and he took a CT scan it revealed that the tooth was decayed and needed an implant not a crown. I returned to Dr. Magar whom made the wrong assumption that I needed a crown and had already charged my card for the full price of a crown, which was over $1500 and I never needed the crown. He then made it impossible for a month straight to get a hold of him, I went into the office called many times, they were rude to over the phone! constantly saying he was busy and refused to give me back the money. i'm updating a not so good review too worse. Two years later after they did a Crown, that Crown cracked open and pieces fell into my hand. The new dentist said probably that Crown had a void a defective manufacturing process. Don't you know I still had to pay for it at the time it should've lasted seven years at least. PROS: The office is clean and the X-rays are very detailed. Half of the staff was approachable the other half was not. The dentist that spoke with me said he was filling in for the main dentist and he did a "quick fix filling" on a cracked tooth I had. Soooo that's cool. CONS: 2-hour appointment. (And I had to get up to ask someone to help get my out of there, because I did not have another hour in my day planned for that). I went in for my basic 6-month check up and cleaning, and walked away with advice to get a few crowns (est. $3,000) and $2,000 worth of "deep" cleaning. They said they couldn't clean my teeth because the insurance company wouldn't approve just a regular cleaning. I've never been told that before. What was odd is, the dentist I saw was "filling in" for the dentist my appointment was with, and he said they couldn't do the cleaning because the hygienist had to leave early... Now I'm kind of screwed because they did the X-rays and no cleaning, so now I have to wait another 6-months to try another (new) dentist. My advice is... keep looking. read more

Then they told me I needed a crown and a deep cleaning but it was going to be expensive. I ended up getting the crown and they did a terrible job. I never even got a teeth cleaning. It really does feel like a used car lot and I wish I got a second opinion before I got the crown. My teeth were fine before, no mouth pain or anything, and now I'm in pain. Moving to a new area, I deeded a new Dentist. It sure isn't going to be this one! Never going back. Waited over an hour, insisted that i needed un necessary X-rays and they did an extensive xray never seen before the "fancy" x-rays were mostly NOT covered by insurance. I was never informed of the extent of the x-rays. Then proceeded to use these x-rays and pictures and basically said my previous Dentist did not CLEAN MY TEETH PROPERLY AND i NEED A DEEP CLEAN! Beach dental and Dr hayasi in particular spends a great deal of money on systems to make sure that you keep your appointment and you are on time unfortunately the converse is not true I had a 10:30 appointment I was there on time at 11:00 they got up and told me it would still be another half hour or 40 minutes. How does a dental office get an hour behind time when it's only 10:30 in the morning? And if so, why not call me and tell me their running behind? Just another case of it's more profitable to me if you wait on a hard chair in my office for an hour than notify you of delay.... read more
