So looks can be deceiving. The he two folks at the food truck were pretty nice. The gal definitely runs the joint. They have outside seating by the food truck. The gyros were very large and fresh. The taziki was very good. Be brave and give them a try.

This a little food truck has the best Greek food ever. I have to say the lamb gyro was unbelievable. The lamb & homemade tzatziki feta sauce was amazing. Maria has to be one of the most pleasant person I've ever met and is an amazing cook.

Best gyros in Brevard! I had a lamb gyro that was well-portioned and seasoned perfectly. Maria was very nice and even provided us with samples of grape leaves and baklava, which were also very good. I'll definitely be coming back often. Thank you!

Great service. The gyros were excellent. Charing with the chef was fun, a beach ambience, check it out if your taste is for a great gyro.

When the reservation was made,…read moremy husband advised of our special occasion, and the table was decoration with rose petals , our napkins folded in the shape of a heart with a nice sign that wished us a happy anniversary. The service was lovely, our waiter was able to answer our questions and make suggestions. It was a slow weeknight, so I enjoyed hearing his knowledge on the menu as he answered other peoples suggestions. With each dish, he made recommendations on how to pair it with a drink for those wanting. He was very charming. We started with the famous roasted bourbon candied bacon tapas along with the French onion Angus Meatballs. Solid choices. For dinner my husband had the Boneless Rib eye cooked with Porcino Mushroom crust and chefs butter. It comes with a roasted head of garlic, French whipped potatoes and green beans. It came out perfectly cooked and was enjoyed very much. I had the Crispy Duck Breast and Confit, this was my first time trying this so when they waiter asked how I wanted it cooked I asked him to make a recommendation. It was very good, but I think the duck lost its crisp when the plate was brought out with a dome cover on it. The presentation was wonderful. The was it was presented, when they lifted the lid in a circular manner all the smells were just delicious. We finished with desert. My husband chose the peanut butter cheesecake, with Oreo crust, paired with a home made grape jelly. it was all his favorite things on one plate. I had a small taste, the smooth peanut flavored cheese cake was decadent. I chose the Sea Salted Pistachio Gelato- OMG, from the first taste, I looked and my husband with wide eyes. I have never had such a glorious taste of pistachio in my life! The sea salt complimented the sweetness and the pistachios through out were plentiful. Honestly the best desert I've ever had and the perfect ending to our meal. Coming here is an experience you can enjoy, it was quiet this night which was perfect for us. There is a piano in the bar area and I understand on some nights a violinist. We had something grand planned for our anniversary this year, but due to family emergency needed to stay local. This was the perfect evening and way to celebrate. If you are looking for a fine dining experience with made from scratch, chef prepared dishes that are a work of art.. this is the place for you.

The ambiance was perfect. This restaurant is high end so it's a little pricey, but for us, it was worth the money we spent. The added little "happy birthday" note topped off a great evening. The customer service is always so friendly and fun. The patio is by far our favorite beachside patio. And the live music is SO GOOD! Third visit to Tide & Tonic. Third bad experience. Unfortunately, there won't be a fourth…read more The first two times I came in, I sat at the bar for roughly 20 minutes without anyone even acknowledging me, much less taking an order. Both times, I finally gave up and left. Tonight I decided to give it one more try. It's beachfront, it's a beautiful location, and I really wanted to like this place. I ordered the salmon, which was around $30. It was so dry I couldn't eat it, and it tasted freezer-burned to me. The sauce tasted manufactured rather than fresh, the rice was fine, and the green beans were completely bland. I took essentially one bite and stopped eating. What made it worse was the service. My virtually untouched dinner sat in front of me for several minutes without anyone checking to see whether everything was okay....even though the restaurant was not remotely busy and appeared to have plenty of staff. I also ordered a spicy skinny margarita, which was surprisingly syrupy-sweet. I drank it because I wasn't about to let perfectly good tequila go to waste, but it wasn't a good margarita. To their credit, when someone finally came over and I explained that I couldn't eat the salmon, they removed the entrée from my bill. I appreciated that and think it's important to mention it. But three visits tell a story. Twice I couldn't get served at all. The third time I finally got served, but the food, cocktail, and attentiveness were all disappointing. For a beachfront restaurant at this price point, I simply expect better. Great location, enormous potential, but based on my three experiences, I won't be back. The best thing that happened tonight was meeting a fellow writer sitting next to me at the bar. Unfortunately, Tide & Tonic can't take credit for that. It gets a 1 star as bartender was so very sweet about it all.

We hosted a graduation party (congrats Ainsley!) and I wanted to share the truly amazing experience…read morethat Drifters Surf Restro put together for us. We had some specific needs, the guest of honor is a vegetarian, very environmentally conscious and supports sustainability. Chef Danny and his wife Katie Clark created such a fantastic event that not only fulfilled the needs of every guest, but knocked it into the stratosphere. Firstly the food. The menu was so thoughtfully put together. Fresh, innovative dishes for every palate that were just so delicious and looked absolutely beautiful. Every guest was so excited about the food, it was a repeated topic of conversation throughout the event. My personal favorite was the blueberry cobbler crumble with chantilly of which I ate 5, but we'll move quickly past that...sorry not sorry. Honestly, I wish I'd had leftovers for breakfast this morning. The beautiful sustainable bamboo plates and "silverware" were gorgeous and a perfect compliment too and much appreciated by Ainsley. Next, the bar curated and tended by the hostess-with-the-mostest Katie, co-owner of Drifters with husband Chef Danny. Katie put together an array of delicious drink options around certain specifics we'd requested and ensured everyone had their needs anticipated and met instantly. Beautiful drinks in compostable drinkware and stunning edible decorations. The mocktails for the non-drinkers were perfection. Bravo! The presentation, decoration and attention to the smallest of details made the event just extra special - fresh flowers in Ainsley's school colors at the bar, gorgeous ice baths for the drinks and beautifully displayed fresh flowers surrounding the food itself, which were like works of art. Visually stunning as well as beautiful to eat and drink. Like I said earlier, they knocked it into another galaxy in every aspect. Lastly, but certainly not least, the service. From start to finish, every single member of the Drifters team made this such an easy and fun experience. The offers of help for anything we might need throughout the process was unexpected and absolutely above and beyond what was required, but we were so very grateful and appreciative of all they did. The team puts their heart, soul and love into their work and it shows in abundance. They did it all with genuine smiles on their faces; each of them happy, calm and confident, no stress, no fuss. It was a pleasure to work with them. We've been regular customers of Drifters the restaurant and now we can say that we love their event catering just as much as we love their restaurant. I'm already thinking about what next event we have coming up...I need that blueberry dessert again. To the Drifters family, thank you from our family to yours for helping us make such great memories that we'll have for years to come. We love you guys. We didn't get that many pictures because we were too busy eating and enjoying ourselves with family and friends, as is the mark of a great party, but hopefully you get the general idea

I have to say first - we literally chose this restaurant bc they had pork katsu (tonkatsu) and Japanese curry on the menu. These are dishes we had in Japan and always look for, but this is THE ONLY restaurant we've found in the area that has real pork katsu. A few have chicken... but that's not the same at all. Also, Japanese curry is a specific and special dish that I haven't seen anywhere else around here (except in my own kitchen). I ordered miso soup, squid salad, shumai, and eel with cucumber roll. Hubs ordered pork katsu entree which came with a carrot ginger dressing salad and miso soup to start, and rice, broccoli, and tonkatsu sauce with the pork tonkatsu. Also ordered Kirin and a sparkling sake. We were both mostly happy with our choices overall. The katsu was SO crispy, just like we had in Tokyo. But it was a tad overcooked, so not as tender inside as one would hope. It also didn't come with shredded seasoned cabbage, which I would have expected as a traditional accompaniment for this dish. The steamed broccoli was crunchy, bright and fresh. The tonkatsu sauce was on point. Steamed shumai was a delight! So well made, delicate but tasty, and it came with a perfect soy vinegar sauce. The squid salad was amazing! I scarfed every single bit of it. I loved the plentiful addition of julienned cucumber. Miso soup wasn't anything special, but wasn't bad. Kind of basic. Didn't seem house made. Maybe from packets. Hubs loved their ginger carrot dressing. More than what we've had at other places. I was not happy with the eel and cucumber roll. They were very tiny pieces, which made them fall apart easily. The wrap barely overlapped so it almost required a fork, and it was less than an inch thick. Also the eel itself did not have a prominent flavor or texture. Neither did the cucumber. The sauce seemed bland. It wasn't "bad" or "off", but it just didn't stand out at all and I'd give it a 2-2.5 stars. (If I had blind tasted this dish, I would not have tasted unagi or sauce or cucumber. I honestly wouldn't have been able to put a finger on what I had eaten at all.) Because the eel cucumber roll was a disappointment, I chose not to order additional sushi or the curry I had intended to order for myself. Definitely going to come back for another meal. I'm giving it a 4 now because I believe we'll probably have more success coming during dinner. Maybe they had prepped my lunch roll earlier so it wasn't great? Maybe the lunch chef is inexperienced and overcooked the pork by mistake? Hubs thought the hibachi choices looked great and he 100% enjoyed the tonkatsu (despite it being overcooked). The crust and fry on it were shatteringly crispy in the best of ways. I am absolutely going to try the curry next time. It's such a comforting dish when done right. We also will try the nigiri and rolls for a better feel and taste of their sushi offerings. Sometimes your first visit happens to be on an off hour or day, so we'll give another try before being too critical in stars.but another mid visit like this would definitely be 3 stars or less.
