Filthy tub, you can see mold from the curtain as well.
Meadow R.

Very dirty and not well taken care of. Came here for H2Oi with me and 3 other people (all under the age of 21) their website stated that you had to be 18 to get a room. When we arrived we were told in a very rude way that we had to be 21. The man at the counter was very rude with the interaction acting like we've been here before, even though we stated we've never been here and had no idea. He still let us stay which was nice. Our room was 2 double beds, with a mini fridge and microwave. The fridge had disgusting rust running down the front and the microwave barely worked. The room itself was very small and really dirty. The floor had sand from the last person which means no one swept. The beds were filled with stains and sand as well. A very big black ink stain was on the mattress itself. There was black hair in the bed as well (none of us already laid in the bed when i found it, and none of us have black hair). The bathroom was kinda clean. There was black hair in the shower and the bottom of the tub was filthy. The toilet was dirty. I was truly at my breaking point when i found pubes on the seat. I can definitely tell they did not change the bedding or clean the bathroom. If you want people to leave you reviews, maybe do a better job at making it a nicer experience for us, instead of giving us attitude when we first arrive and a dirty room that was left un cleaned.

Horrible place don't ever go here owners are rude asf, was trying a Pepsi from their vending machine and the guy came yelling out claiming I had a joint in my hand

Me and my hubby wanted to get away from the kids at home (covid made us all close, but we needed a little getaway) and this was the perfect place to stay.

Positives:hotel is conveniently located at the north end of the boardwalk, near beach. Has…read morerefrigerator, microwave, safe. Negatives:Small room(oceanview king),actually was facing mostly a staircase. Bath not updated. Beds are very firm(some may like this). Air conditioner rusted/falling apart/smelled like burning when on auto and noisy. Walls are very thin and unfortunately if you have inconsiderate folks near you, it sounds like they are in your room whether on sides or above room. Kids walk in your room if you don't immediately lock door. People can gather right outside your door talking so loud it sounds like a noisy bar in your room. Folks who were 6" outside our door for more than 30 minutes )and our door had do not disturb/resting sign on), did not leave after opening door to show them we were inside. When I asked front desk if there was anything they could do (like ask folks to at least gather outside their own room/or move to more open public spaces, she told me just leave room and "go enjoy yourself", that I was "being difficult" by just asking for some common sense considerate behavior. After I then commented that I guess it doesn't matter how much noise I make:She did finally say she would send someone up to disperse crowd. Ceiling tiles have water stains. Had leftover half used hotel hair conditioner bottle in bath. Doormat on inside room is filthy and stained. Parking spaces VERY narrow. Expect dings in your vehicle. You could have a nice stay, but better hope you have 1) more considerate bunch of folks staying when you do 2) Don't mind cramped room.3) Don't get room with deteriorated toilet seat/AC/doormat/walls,4) Have beat up or really tiny car PS bring earplugs if you want to sleep

Affordable, clean and friendly....you're just not going to find a better place for location and comfort! Have stayed multiple times and always had a very good experience. Parking can be a bit tight, but we never had to move the car after arriving because everything else is so close. Room had a. Ice living room with a pullout couch bed. Small kitchenette with fridge and a full bath. The bedroom in the back had two queen sized beds that had plenty of room around them. Awake to the most amazing sunset views on the sun deck, enjoy the ocean views for the rest of the day, then hit the boardwalk (which starts right in front of the hotel). I prefer the 4th floor rooms for a better ocean view. We didn't use the pool much due to the ocean being so close, but it was clean and always had room to enjoy!

I stayed at the Madison (Ocean Tower) and definitely recommend!…read more I'll start by mentioning the three things that prevented me from giving a five star review. First, the elevator was down while we were there which wasn't a huge deal for us but since we were on the 3rd floor it made me wonder about folks with disabilities or any kind of knee or back issue. I felt this was a new resort growing pain though and hope they can get this worked out. Second, and another growing pain likely, while the pool on day 1 was heated and amazing as was the hot tub, on day 2 the heater wasn't working and there essentially was no hot tub and the pool was much cooler, though still enjoyable. The final component is more of a structural design issue that won't change but I thought I'd mention. The sink is outside of the bathroom. There is no sink in the bathroom. This means you need to exit the bathroom to wash your hands. We dealt with it but it's a bit of a design flaw. Now onto all the good! First, when I called about an early check in they said that while they couldn't guarantee that, we were welcome to come and get a parking pass and our pool passes while we wait. I think that's a wonderful alternative! It was much appreciated! Then, when we got there our room was ready! An even nicer surprise since we were about 2 hours early to check in. The place is new with new furniture and new flooring in the rooms. We had an adorable retro-looking microwave and refrigerator in our room. We even had bath robes available. The room was also stocked with really great smelling (green tea and coconut) shampoo, conditioner and bath gel. The pool area is wonderful with a cute pink and white theme. The cabanas are rentals, which we didn't do, but they certainly looked lovely. At night there are fire tables available and the deck has beautiful lighting. There is a rooftop open longe area on the 4th floor. There is also a snack stand right on the pool deck and a restaurant connected to the patio. When staying at the Madison you have access to both pools (though since we were only there a weekend we didn't venture over to spend time at the Royal Tower pool, which is the old Royal Hawaiian pool, and is still in tact with the middle island and large hot tub area). There is a small gym on site (again, talking specifically about the Ocean Tower - not sure what's at the Royal Tower in this capacity). Checked it out but didn't use it. The tower sets up chairs and umbrellas on the beach in a first come first serve capacity but again, a great service. Makes you feel elite. And lastly, something we used a lot, was the free shuttle service. The shuttle service is unique (only one other hotel in the area does this) and will take you to and from the boardwalk, local restaurants or close attractions. Tom and Jack, the two drivers we had, were super friendly and accommodating. Overall, everyone was quite friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. It was clean and comfortable. While we mostly stay in condos when down there, I would definitely stay here again! In fact, I look forward to it! #MadisonMoments

Disappointing stay despite high-end price The silky-sand…read morebeach, free lounge chairs and umbrellas, and beachside food service were the best parts of our stay. Our two-room suite was quiet, and the restaurant staff were pleasant. Unfortunately, the bathroom looked grungy with a rusted toilet paper holder and poor cleaning, and the bed was uncomfortable. Both the bedroom and bathroom were tiny, and I kept hitting my leg on the bed frame when walking around. We were handed one vague sheet of information at check-in, and when my husband went back for clarification, the front desk still couldn't clearly explain the amenities. Most of the staff were unable to answer basic questions. The towel attendant stayed on her phone, and the manager seemed "put off" when asked anything. For a hotel on the high end of pricing in the area, I expected comfort and at least a touch of "luxury." Required valet parking added to the inconvenience. I would not stay here again.

It has a nice clean outdoor pool that is well-maintained and provides clean towels and lounge chairs. Our room for a family of five was just right with two queen beds and a pullout couch/bed in the living room. Our room also had many of the towels folded into adorable flowers and a great view of the beach/shore. Parking is available right around the building as well as on the street, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. One night, there was a very heavy rain storm. Since our back door was facing the beach, some water crept in through the bottom of the door. We were able to stop the leak with towels and called housekeeping who provided a door guard that soaks up water in case it happened again. For the price we paid, we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others as well.

Nice campground but unfortunately aggressive towards EV owners…read more I've stayed here for roughly a month total in the last year or so and was warned early on that they believe charging EVs (even just trickle charging from 15 amp receptacles) will damage their electrical system. While this is an obviousfallacy especially for overnight charging when electrical demand is lower. It seemed the campground was attempting to be accommodating by installing an EV charger at the gate and more recently another at the main pool. This is apparently more of a price gouging move than a genuine attempt at supporting EV owners. The rate they charge is more than triple the prevailing electricity rate. It's even more expensive than the Superchargers a mile or so away at the courthouse. The reason I use the word aggressive to describe this EV politics is because despite not having a single mention of it in their extensive rules they diligently police the property to the point of entering peoples sites to check if EVs are plugged in then taking pictures of them, to come back and confront you later about it. When I'm spending thousands of dollars to stay at a campground on vacation I don't appreciate being lectured over a few bucks worth of electricity nor having my site entered and my privacy invaded to check enforcement of a rule that isn't even listed as a rule except possibly under the section that says they can add more rules at anytime. (Yes they literally have a rule that says that.) The campground facilities are generally nice but there's a lot of nice campgrounds in the area especially at this premium price point. If your an EV owner feel free to enjoy the site just be aware of the aggressive policies and privacy invasion that will come with staying at this location. Campgrounds understandably need to pick their battles and apparently this one has chosen to fight against EVs, police their charging and gouge them on electricity rates.
