    Beachwood nacho fries

I have to admit that I am a late adopter to this place. It's in my neighborhood but I never dropped in before because I thought all they had was beer. I've been a few times and everything is good. The vibes. The customer service. The sangria. And of course my favorite food, the Nacho fries! The aioli that comes on the side is so freaking delicious. Just be advised, I personally requested regular cheese and not cheese sauce. It was the perfect place to wrap up date night after attending first Friday.

I've been on a sober kick lately, so I came by for the vibes, food, and to hang out with friends. The live music was really good. Place was packed on a Friday night. I ordered the strawberry BBQ wings, perfectly smoked and tasty but I'd probably choose a different sauce next time. I appreciated the uniqueness, it just wasn't quite for me. The garlic Parmesan fries, on the other hand, were some of the best fries I've ever had. I already know I'll be craving them at random times, which means I'll definitely be back soon, Beachwood!

My boyfriend and I wanted to try a new dog-friendly brewery, and initially, we were set on Ambitious Ales in Bixby Knolls. Unfortunately, when we arrived they were closed for a private event, so we searched for nearby substitutes and landed on Beachwood Brewing. We made sure to call ahead and confirm that their outside patio was dog-friendly, which they confirmed it was. When we arrived I headed inside to order. I was going to have my boyfriend wait outside with my furbaby while I grabbed our drinks but to my surprise, another customer had their dog with them inside. Although we ended up sitting outside on the patio, I loved the fact that the indoor seating was also pet-friendly! The service itself was generally good. Our bartender didn't seem the most enthusiastic, but I won't hold that against her as she still tended to us in a speedy and polite manner. After ordering our first round (LBC IPAs), we headed to the patio which is near the backside parking lot. Near the back of the brewery they have a cool array of pinball machines. On the patio, they had the cutest little fire pit tables that created such a cozy and romantic atmosphere. They also conveniently had QR codes on the tables to order drinks and food. We didn't order anything to grub on but I'd probably get some wings next time. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our LBC IPAs. For our second round, I decided to switch things up and ordered a Tiki drink called the Painkiller; a rum-based coconut mixed drink. The Painkiller was a bit strong yet had a lovely coconut flavor, along with little pieces of coconut inside the drink. Overall, we had a great experience at Beachwood Brewing, and we'll definitely be back! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a laid-back brewery near Bixby.

Really great brewery near the downtown area of Bixby Knolls. A great spot to grab a drink and some bites with your friends and family. They have a nice arcade/games area and some TVs for sports. And they have a great backyard patio as well. The service has always been friendly and helps us pick out what we like in beers. One thing I would like to see more are descriptions of the beers, like flavor notes and hops used. Last time I went, they had 7 beers that just said "West Coast IPA" which is one or helpful. Otherwise a great place!

Cool spot that used to be a different brewery back in the day. The Citraholic and service were excellent, but I was confused with the 25 cent pinball games in a cashless establishment with a powerless quarter dispenser. Someone please assist, lolz.

This was my first time here, but I had heard good things about it from lots of folk, and it did not disappoint. :) Food/Drink: I was pleased with the appetizers, we had garlic fries, the mixed greens, and the burger between us, and all were quite tasty. They have their on-site brews along with some other local staples, and they have a variety of mixed drinks along with a tiki bar vibe, double that with a holiday drink themed tiki drink page and you have yourself a bit of something for everyone. I had a few seltzers, and a few Lapu Lapu and I was doing just fine. ;) The service was friendly and knowledgable, and they were working hard to get the drinks out. Once the place was hopping it did take ~20 minutes for some of the tiki drinks, but it was worth the wait for sure - quality takes time - I know my drinks weee good, and I didn't hear anyone else complaining; I'll trade time for tastiness any day. ;) In all I'd certainly return, and I hope to see you there!

Stopped in recently for the Christmas holiday season. They offered a wide selection of delicious drinks for in a cute collection of cups. The service was quick and there was ample seating space throughout the area. My one comment is about the small parking area. My friend and I came in right before it got busy but would definitely recommend carpooling or finding street parking.

Welcome addition to North Long Beach, this spot offers a delicious menu to compliment the draft or cocktails they offer in-house. There is parking in the back or a few spots in front, but a bus stop is just a minute walk north. I highly recommend the buffalo wings, they could use a but more buffalo zing but whatever they add to their sauce is killer; similar to a sweet and spicy. Garlic fries are a must with an IPA. An arcade and board games are available for you to enjoy. I cannot say they offer sports here, as the speakers won't emit TV audio. You can definitely have both and it's pretty crucial to a sports viewing experience. It was a shame to watch the Finals with no audio.

At this point I'm just posting photos of their seasonal mugs and cups presentation is half the battle. I love that they do this and the ambiance is great. Service is always friendly. Food is ok. I'll come here for the cocktails themselves since they make their own syrups and distill their own liquors. There's always something new my tastebud hasn't tasted yet and that's what I'm looking for. Very few places in Bixby knolls will offer that!

Based on this visit, it was quite nice. Other reviews were either a hit or miss but my experience was quite nice. We stopped by for a nightcap as it was still open and there was still a good amount of people inside. The food trucks were still active but by the time we left, it was cleaned and closed. There's a good selection of pinball machines at the back or the place. Seating wise, there seemed to be a lot of seats but can get busy and all taken obviously. We ordered drinks and snack from the bar. A pretty selection that they carry both for beer and food. There's also apparels for purchase as well. Stuck with the light beer which was quite nice. Snack wise, the Parmesan fries and loaded fries. Portion wise was quite big and they were tasty. Service was great and staff were quite friendly. Gave us some recommendations on what we would like. First timer and it was nice and pleasant experience.

Since the distillery opened up here it has been a favorite spot of ours. I'm not a beer person but my husband is so it's great that he can grab a beer and I can get a cocktail which are always amazing. Enrique & Tyler are always great when we go. Now let's talk about the food. This isn't no ordinary brewery food. Oh no no no. The strawberry bbq wings, the Caesar and any of their greens or brussels are so addicting and delicious you can't go wrong with any of those. Love that they added the little back patio space too.

I forgot the name but This was some kind of banana diaquiri and it was amazingggg reminds me of fall

I enjoy coming here for both beers and cocktails ! Service is always quick and friendly. I love how they got same games in the back and some board games for you to play also. I got the strawberry bbq wings and there were deliciousssss! Drinks are very good also ! During the holidays they would have seasonal drinks. One of my fav brewery I enjoy in LB !

Third time here. Brought sister-in-law this time. Again sat at the bar. I ordered the Love cup. Rum and rum. It was good. Had the bread & fries, that was awesome. Fresh & hot. Sister-in-law had mushroom burger & she said it tested great. I did sliders. One original & the other two were the golden west. All three were great. The service was good again, with friendly bartenders. They played great music that was not overly loud so you could talk to each other.

Potential, but the service was lacking. I can't recommend. I would search elsewhere for a brewery, at least for now.

Reservations for seating is silly. Place is usually empty. Can't just stop by for a beer anymore. Weak move.

On the day that I went, they had a mariscos vendor that sold delicious ceviches. Note that during peak dinner hours, the wait times for pizza from Thunderbolt can be close to 30 minutes. I went with Ambitious Ale's Central Perk, which was a blonde ale with madagascar vanilla and guatemalan coffee notes, and these flavors were surprisingly present and not subtle. They had tons of unique flavor options here and I definitely would love to come back to try some cold ones with some pizza. Their fruity options were pretty popular with my work group. Their Jollibeer (inspired by the Peach and Mango pies at Jollibee) was a lager with mango and peach puree. The beers I had were crisp, full flavored, and ice cold. Perfect at the end of a work week! It's really nice that they have a nice space in the back to host a group of two or a group of twenty. This is a great pillar in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood.

We had the food delivered in 3 separate instances. In one instance the staff member delivered an order of wings. When I told him the order was incomplete, I was questioned and asked for a receipt. When I showed him the receipt, he moved to another table and removed an order of wings from other patrons and handed it to us. It is unsanitary to give food to strangers and then take it back and give it to me. I asked him if that's how they operate, giving food to others, later taking it back, and giving it to the right table. A couple of minutes later, I had gestapo managers Taylor and Christy searching for me. When I identified myself, they questioned if I had called their staff a "ret@rd." They did not let up. My friend and I were shocked. I described the situation and exactly what I said. The food being mishandled and then being falsely accused of using a slur, such a wild and awkward experience. I noticed Ambitious Ales now provides a disclaimer when ordering from Thunderbolt via QR code. Now it all makes sense. Regardless, you can't have restaurant managers coming over to your business and making wild accusations. Completely unacceptable.
