1st visit rainy day not open: I wanted to try the Beachwood at 2nd & PCH, unfortunately, not a pleasant experience. I checked around noon and came back early evening, they were not open during normal business hours on Saturday. No one picked up the phone call, and their website is not updated with accurate hours either. 2nd visit one week later: Ambiance: it's a draft beer station, with bar table and high stand tables surrounded Service: very friendly staff and efficient at service Drink: limited choices on their regular menu for draft beer selections OUDE GREGG - *** BELGIAN STYLE SOUR ALE, 6.0% ABV, very sour taste Price: small to moderate sizes, slightly overpriced, expect $10+ per draft beer, understandable prices considering its location

A beer shack in the middle of an outdoor shopping center? Sure, why not? My husband and I were at 2nd & PCH for dinner. We stopped by Beachwood Brewing because he loves a good hazy IPA. We got a half pint for about $6 and he was a happy camper. The guy pouring was fairly nice but not super chatty. I'm sure he wanted to be having dinner on a Friday night too. They have barstool seating at the shack. The beer is served in glass so you can't really walk away. We parked at the Whole Foods adjacent structure which is free for 90 minutes. Still couldn't find anyone to validate parking so we left before our 90 minutes was up. It's a nice place to relax with a pint or two when the weather is nice. All the Beachwood favorites seem to be on the menu. Cheers!

Cute beer stand at 2nd & PCH! I decided to stop here after doing Rumble. Yes, I was supposed to be shopping but decided to get a lil liquid courage first before buying my daughter's birthday gifts. Super easy breezy set up, you walk up, order and they pour your drink from the taps. Quick, casual and a great vibe. And great people watching!

Perfect place to casually sit down at 2nd & PCH. Good beer. Love the concept. Can you guys open one in Irvine?

I love Beachwood, going back to the days when they were in DTLB...I like the shack...came out of my way to stop here for a beer. Got lost...lol. Park by Whole Foods, go out to the main quad and go left. Easy, really. 90 minute free parking. Beer was tasty, lots of options...dude pouring was not friendly at all. Poured the beer and pretty much disappeared. Other folks came by but left because he put a BRB (essentially) sign on the bar. Get another dude.

Stopped by the outdoor mall at second and PCH for some ice cream for the kids and this place caught my eye. It makes for a wonderful stop in a sometimes crowded and noisy environment where you can just relax for a few minutes with a quality brew. Most of Beachwood locations offer delicious food in a larger establishment, but this micro tap room is a nice surprise to just stumble upon. Really great beers at this brewery with a nice selection offered at this location, I wish I had more time to try them all!

After a Saturday scooter ride through Long Beach, my wife and I stopped by Beachwood Brewing to recharge. Since I was the one driving, it was her turn to enjoy the craft beer while I got to sit back and enjoy watching her enjoy it. The place has a great vibe, laid back but lively, and I really liked the concept. It almost feels like a neighborhood coffee cart, except you're grabbing a cold glass of beer instead of a latte. My wife went for the Hayabusa, a Japanese-style rice lager. She loved it. From the way she described it, it reminded me of the kind of beer I usually order at a yakitori spot. I didn't drink this time, but now I really want to go back just to try it. The man behind the counter seemed very talkative and upbeat, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. It's always nice when the staff brings some personality into the experience. All in all, Beachwood Brewing hit the mark--easygoing, flavorful, and built for a casual stop after cruising around town. Definitely coming back.

My better half and I were on a really fun road trip and ended up here. I hate shopping and I'm not a fan of malls, but a brewery kiosk in a mall may change all of that! I've had Beachwood beer before...they brew up some good stuff..and this location is no different. The menu is posted right above the register. Easy to order. They are a cashless operation...so something to keep in mind. Outdoor seating is cute and they even have heaters for those cold SoCal nights. There are QR codes and table numbers so you can order food from different restaurants in the mall. Beertender was friendly and poured up some tasty brews. Nice spot. Friendly service and tasty beers. 5 stars!

It's Beachwood, how could you go wrong? After tons of red tape and set backs, this container satellite tap...room? is now open. Stop by for some award winning craft beer, available in a variety of styles for all palates. This is a fantastic little set up in the middle of the shopping area. You can't take the beer to-go from the roped area, but feel free to bring food and fun to it. There are several tables, cocktail sables, and bar seats to make your stay comfortable. The beertenders are friendly and knowledgeable to get you on your tastebud journey. Cheers!

I really like the relaxed vibe and outdoor seating here- bring a jacket/sweater if you'd like, but there are a few heat lamps too. The beer list is pretty impressive for a small setting, and they always have something for my snobby beer palate in terms of stouts and sours. Lots of other options too. You can order food from the restaurants in the complex and have it delivered to your table!

On the day that I went, they had a mariscos vendor that sold delicious ceviches. Note that during peak dinner hours, the wait times for pizza from Thunderbolt can be close to 30 minutes. I went with Ambitious Ale's Central Perk, which was a blonde ale with madagascar vanilla and guatemalan coffee notes, and these flavors were surprisingly present and not subtle. They had tons of unique flavor options here and I definitely would love to come back to try some cold ones with some pizza. Their fruity options were pretty popular with my work group. Their Jollibeer (inspired by the Peach and Mango pies at Jollibee) was a lager with mango and peach puree. The beers I had were crisp, full flavored, and ice cold. Perfect at the end of a work week! It's really nice that they have a nice space in the back to host a group of two or a group of twenty. This is a great pillar in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood.

We had the food delivered in 3 separate instances. In one instance the staff member delivered an order of wings. When I told him the order was incomplete, I was questioned and asked for a receipt. When I showed him the receipt, he moved to another table and removed an order of wings from other patrons and handed it to us. It is unsanitary to give food to strangers and then take it back and give it to me. I asked him if that's how they operate, giving food to others, later taking it back, and giving it to the right table. A couple of minutes later, I had gestapo managers Taylor and Christy searching for me. When I identified myself, they questioned if I had called their staff a "ret@rd." They did not let up. My friend and I were shocked. I described the situation and exactly what I said. The food being mishandled and then being falsely accused of using a slur, such a wild and awkward experience. I noticed Ambitious Ales now provides a disclaimer when ordering from Thunderbolt via QR code. Now it all makes sense. Regardless, you can't have restaurant managers coming over to your business and making wild accusations. Completely unacceptable.

Even if you don't know anyone, it's the kind of place where people are easy to talk to and the atmosphere feels relaxed. We ordered the meat lovers pizza, and it was surprisingly good. It had plenty of toppings, the crust was crispy with a nice chew, and it paired really well with the beer. The brewery itself has a laid-back vibe with plenty of space to hang out. Whether you're there for an event or just grabbing a beer with friends, it's an easy place to spend a few hours. I'd definitely come back for another bike meet, pizza, and beer.

Full disclosure, I came here because of a barbecue pop-up that I wanted to visit. But for me, I was just happy that I was at a brewery so I can try some of the beers as well. I liked the crispy beers on tap that went well with the barbecue. They also made for easy drinking in the patio area. All the folks here that I interacted with were very friendly, including both people that worked at the brewery and other patrons. I actually made two new friends while having a drink in the patio area lol. They also serve their own pizza here, but as I mentioned before, I was here for the barbecue with the Cambodian celebration happening in the parking lot. Definitely wanna come back and try the pizza though. There's a parking lot for the usual days without celebrations, but if for whatever reason, parking lot is full, there's plenty of street parking nearby
