First time trying Beachwood's Kiosk at 2nd&PCH. They have great beers that we have enjoyed over the years at their brick and mortar locations. This location is center court outside with lots of seating and shade. They don't serve food but right next door is an excellent sandwich place (Potato Chios Deli) and a few steps further and excellent rotisserie chicken spot (Nible Bird). You can grab food and bring inside. We ordered two sandwiches from the sandwich place to pair with our beers. I ordered the LBC IPA, great choice. My husband had the HEF. They have a nice selection on tap to meet most anyone's tastes including lager, pale ale and pilsner. Atmosphere wise, very relaxing for a busy Sunday afternoon! We could have hung out there for many hours! I heard some asking why they can't just walk around the shopping center with their beers. We aren't in LV and CA is very strict with alcoholic beverages. Delicious and beautiful beer alternatives. This was a hibiscus seltzer that now only was pretty but was a refreshing start to summer. The staff was helpful by providing suggestions and samples if you didn't know what to get. The area is an open shared seating space which is great for large groups and of all ages. read more

I checked around noon and came back early evening, they were not open during normal business hours on Saturday. A beer shack in the middle of an outdoor shopping center? Sure, why not? My husband and I were at 2nd & PCH for dinner. We stopped by Beachwood Brewing because he loves a good hazy IPA. We got a half pint for about $6 and he was a happy camper. The guy pouring was fairly nice but not super chatty. I'm sure he wanted to be having dinner on a Friday night too. They have barstool seating at the shack. The beer is served in glass so you can't really walk away. We parked at the Whole Foods adjacent structure which is free for 90 minutes. Still couldn't find anyone to validate parking so we left before our 90 minutes was up. It's a nice place to relax with a pint or two when the weather is nice. I love Beachwood, going back to the days when they were in DTLB...I like the shack...came out of my way to stop here for a beer. Got lost...lol. Park by Whole Foods, go out to the main quad and go left. Easy, really. 90 minute free parking. Beer was tasty, lots of options...dude pouring was not friendly at all. Stopped by the outdoor mall at second and PCH for some ice cream for the kids and this place caught my eye. It makes for a wonderful stop in a sometimes crowded and noisy environment where you can just relax for a few minutes with a quality brew. Most of Beachwood locations offer delicious food in a larger establishment, but this micro tap room is a nice surprise to just stumble upon. After a Saturday scooter ride through Long Beach, my wife and I stopped by Beachwood Brewing to recharge. Since I was the one driving, it was her turn to enjoy the craft beer while I got to sit back and enjoy watching her enjoy it. The place has a great vibe, laid back but lively, and I really liked the concept. It almost feels like a neighborhood coffee cart, except you're grabbing a cold glass of beer instead of a latte. My wife went for the Hayabusa, a Japanese-style rice lager. She loved it. From the way she described it, it reminded me of the kind of beer I usually order at a yakitori spot. I didn't drink this time, but now I really want to go back just to try it. The man behind the counter seemed very talkative and upbeat, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. It's always nice when the staff brings some personality into the experience. All in all, Beachwood Brewing hit the mark--easygoing, flavorful, and built for a casual stop after cruising around town. My better half and I were on a really fun road trip and ended up here. I hate shopping and I'm not a fan of malls, but a brewery kiosk in a mall may change all of that! I've had Beachwood beer before...they brew up some good stuff..and this location is no different. The menu is posted right above the register. Easy to order. They are a cashless operation...so something to keep in mind. Outdoor seating is cute and they even have heaters for those cold SoCal nights. There are QR codes and table numbers so you can order food from different restaurants in the mall. Beertender was friendly and poured up some tasty brews. Nice spot. It's Beachwood, how could you go wrong? After tons of red tape and set backs, this container satellite tap...room? is now open. Stop by for some award winning craft beer, available in a variety of styles for all palates. This is a fantastic little set up in the middle of the shopping area. You can't take the beer to-go from the roped area, but feel free to bring food and fun to it. There are several tables, cocktail sables, and bar seats to make your stay comfortable. I really like the relaxed vibe and outdoor seating here- bring a jacket/sweater if you'd like, but there are a few heat lamps too. Setting out on a fun drive with my partner in crime in the droptop, up & down the PCH, on a beautiful day, we stopped by here for some refreshment. While there is a parking garage, we scored some nearby street parking fairly easily on a Saturday around lunchtime. Walking up, the beer menu was prominently displayed above the counter where you order. The beertender was friendly, conversational, & informative. The whole setup, with a short bar seating area & a few tables, was minimal. But not too minimal. Really, just right for a beer or 2, as respite, & then on your way. Which we then were. Yeah, since I'm paying that sunshine tax, I'm getting as much open air time on the road with the Pacific Ocean as I can. read more

Customer service here is consistently bad, but this last visit was horrible. Stopped by Beachwood Brewing at 2nd & PCH on 07/13 around 2pm. Asked for the beer with the skull on the label because I couldn't remember the name of it. The guy behind the counter mocked the request, looked at me like I was insane, and then realized the bottle was sitting right in front of him. When I mentioned it didn't look like the one I'd had before, he cut me off with, "It's the same beer, just a different fruit." That's not really the same. Not everybody wants to drink pineapple flavored beer. Asked for a bag and got an eye roll and a flimsy plastic one tossed at me. For a place charging $15 for a bottle of beer, the attitude is ridiculous. Rude, dismissive, and zero professionalism. Plenty of places in Long Beach know how to treat customers, but this isn't one of them. read more

We live across the street. We come here often but never to this bar. Get a bartender needs to go... my husband said not a smile, a hello, awkward vibe.
