Game room and bowling alley always make for a good time. They also have a pizza place and frozen yogurt spot attached.

I stopped by this Lakewood location of Round1 on my incomplete tour of the Round1s in LA. I have to…read moresay, going shortly after they opened on a weekday was quite peaceful and lonely. However, most employees were cleaning in some way which was a good sign. It did feel a little more fresh and clean at this location than other ones. The entrance was interesting because I'm used to just entering the doors and immediately being inside the arcade, but you have to enter through the dilapidated Lakewood Center mall first, and then take escalators up to Round1. It's also a little hectic coming here, because it's right next to Costco. There were an adequate amount of machines, but it definitely seemed smaller than the other locations I visited in LA. However, the skill games and payout rates were very reasonable and fair, and I made out quite well! I won my first Getter Spin game here because the speed was pretty good. You do have to cherry pick a bit, as some of the popular or newer prizes were behind cheese wheels.

Located near the forever 21 (that's about to close), Ulta, and Costco side of the mall (in the old…read morelocation of the food court for those of you old enough to remember), Round 1 has always been a great late-night spot for all sorts of entertainment such as claw games, arcade games, billiards, bowling, karaoke, etc. I find myself going here fairly often because not many places are open this late, especially in Lakewood. Prices have definitely been going up and prizes are harder to get (recession indicator fr), so I admittedly have started playing less. I only come when I need to blow off some steam or there's a prize I really want. Round 1 has an AMAZING selection of plushies During my last visit, I had some great encounters with a couple of the workers! I had some issues regarding the app and connecting my card, and one of the managers stationed at the bowling area was super nice and walked me through connecting a new card and ensuring I got my points for it! Oddly enough, they felt very well-staffed for a Wednesday, and there was plenty of staff on the floor that day to help me reset a couple of times, whenever the token plush dropped out of claw's reach. There was one worker who came right when I needed him and helped reset the token back within claw's reach. I got my usahana that night!!! I wish I remembered their names so I could shout them out! They really made my night after a rough day.

The place has been around quite some time and kids do tend to make a mess, but they keep up after it. Parking is for a fee, but sometimes you get a game card that comes with the parking. It can get crowded in the summer and on weekends. We go on week days and have been several times. Now, the prices in here add up fast so be mindful of that, but it is the same as other similar places. Miniature golf is about 16$, a go kart is about 12$, the arcade can really add up so get a card that you can use for the wide variety of games they have. The bumper boats and Disk Thrill Ride are about 12$ per person. We love their little train and that is about 5$. You can get a two hour wrist band and we do that and save a lot that way. All in all the prices are fair. The service there is nice and the place has a lot to offer, you don't have to do it all. There is a lot to do. They also have Birthday Parties there and that is great. It is super fun.

I've played all of them and enjoy all of them. The further you get from the main office, the less control there is and if you go at peak times, you'll deal with a lot of unattended kids. But the courses are fun, the layout is unique and it is definitely a fun date night. Bonus points for a cameo in Wreck It Ralph.

I requested a party of 4 to be sat by the booths by the games so my 1 and 2 yr old could play the duck machine while we wait for food. Again the response is no. The clueless host offers a high type and I point to my kids showing them they can't sit at a high top that's why I'm requesting a booth there. There is not one party in these "reserved" For large walk ins or parties. I said my child needs accommodations which is why I'm requesting that. I asked even if I make an open table reservation can I get sat. He proceeds to say. So I said no thanks and walk away. The last time this happened the manner did not care about either. You should do better and have better policies especially when you clearly don't have ANYONE sitting in the dining room and could easily accomadate guests instead of turning people away. Make sure your whole group is together before start time so you all play at the same time and no one misses out. Our group was a bunch of 5/6/7 year olds and the group they played against was 10-12 year olds so I felt like that was a little unfair but no one got seriously hurt so that's all you can ask for. My least favorite part was the arcade. Some of the games weren't working so that's a bust. Our kids were too young to use the VR game so it would have been nice if they got to ride the bumper cars twice instead of just losing out on that. On top of that there was only one person staffing the VR game, the mini bowling and the bumper cars so it was like 10-15 minutes between each option and there were only maybe 8 bumper cars so when there's a line the kids had to wait about 20 minutes just to ride the bumper cars. There were lines for the bumper cars and the VR so no one used the bowling because there wasn't enough staff. The pizza was fine, I believe you can order other stuff outside the party pizza if you want.
