I was really disappointed with this arcade. Why you may ask? Well, to start off, about 30-40% of the machines didn't work. Secondly, they didn't have any console games like Galaga, Pac-Man, or any old school games. We played a mini-bowling game and the lane only have 9 pins, so if you knocked down all of the pins, you couldn't get a strike or a spare. That should have been shutdown with the other games that didn't work. The place is dark and dingy. I doubt I will ever come back here. I'm very disappointed and I need to find an arcade to take my kids. read more

I wouldn't say this place was horribly awful but i will never return. First of all, i waited quite a while to purchase a unlimited 1 hour card for $19, i didn't even get an acknowledgment. The man was helping a customer and when he finished he turned his back to me and was at his register pressing buttons and stapling receipts at the slowest pace, i even wondered if he actually saw me or not. After a few minutes i said, "excuse me," and he immediately told me, "one minute." And returned tending to his high priority task of returning the stapler in it's rightful place, because you know, it might get lost! He wasn't warm or welcoming, not a smile. Gave me the impression that he didn't want to be there. Once i had finally gotten a unlimited card, my excited daughter and i went to have a fun gaming spree but i soon realized that a majority of the games were literally only seconds long. Add the 90 second delay in between swipes and we did a lot of waiting. If you don't think 90 seconds is long, especially with a young child or children, good for you because you must have the gift of patience. For the rest of us and my giddy daughter who couldn't wait to play game after game, as we were there to do, it felt like eternity. There were even games that required only the press of a button and that was it.. game over. After that realization, i wasn't looking forward to the hour session and thought about asking for a refund but, there were no refunds as stated in the ad. Also, you don't technically play for an hour because of the delay swipes. There were a couple games that were good such as air hockey and the Jurassic park game. The area looked upkept and clean as far as i was able to observe. My hangup is the length of the games and the long delay in between swipes of the card. Well well well. Where to begin. This place has Guitar Hero Arcade!!! So much fun! The only thing is that the controllers are jammed and a bit gross. But I guess you can't help it. Go wash your hands after! In all seriousness, OMG there's a spongebob coin machine that goes "TOKEEEN" everytime you hit the target. It can be a bit addicting so stay away, since you will want to collect every card. Happened to me more times than I'd like to admit. Additionally, there are Air Hockey machines and Pool tables! Awesome! They do also have the original Jurassic Park game alongside the Hadouken game. Oh yeah! The ticket prizes are mediocre at best, and you have to spend quite a lot of time accruing tickets before cashing in on something useful. Overall it is a good arcade, it's not as cheap as I'd like it to be. But it will do. It's a good place hangout till late, and there are several food options around the area. Me and a couple friends went bowling at Cal Bowl and noticed a pretty cool arcade next door. Don't recommend it. They close at 10 but tonight when we went in he told us he is closing at 9:45. And on top of that we are waiting to claim our tickets let me tell you we where the only people at this arcade. And we had to wait about 15 minutes because he was on his phone. As someone who goes to the arcade 2-3 times a week, this is a pretty good arcade. I would give it 4 stars to be blunt, but I feel that that the 1 star reviews are unwarranted. First, in case people are not aware, the days of $.25 games are mostly a thing of the past. The places that are cheap generally have cheap games and cheap prizes. Most games at many arcades cost $1 to $1.25 each. And often times these arcades have lame prizes. The Fun Center here has games that mostly cost around the expected price. Some more than expected price, some less. Many of these games have jackpots, like the balloon game and dizzy chicken. And it's not easy to get a jackpot; that's why it's a jackpot. This is a business and they cannot be giving out free stuff. The mini bowling is on point. Cheaper than other places. The virtual bowling is five frames; every other arcade that has it has had only three frames. (I currently have 29 game cards saved as souvenirs and there are a handful that don't have cards, so I've been to at least 35 different arcades). Space invaders works well, and Quik Drop works well too. Not nerfed or super hard. Tailgate toss and down the clown are missing bags and balls, but it's likely due to people taking them. The amount of accessories is far below what the manual dictates. There are games thar are off. Spongebob shouldn't be 17 pins (they call their credits "pins"); it should be 12. Connect four hoops should pay more. The claw game that grabs rings of tickets should cost 15 pins, not 20 (I do get that it is a popular game, and thus a moneymaker, but the notion of children churning out $2 for five seconds of claw play makes me cringe. But it's really the parents responsibility to ensure their kids play inexpensive games. They have non ticket games as well (good deal for air hockey by the way) and that's cool. Not my thing though. I did try the unlimited card for an hour. It was AMAZING! You gotta know what you are doing. Play games that require strategy or take a while to play. You have to wait 90 seconds between swipes, but many games easily take this long, if not more. Examples would be the virtual bowling, Connect Four Hoops, the claw game (take your time to line up your shot!), Quik Drop, Milk Jug Toss, Ring Toss (they finally got it working). Basically, use the unlimited card for stuff that has a timer. I understand that I am pretty good at the arcade, but I think a decent player can get 2,000 tickets in the hour (or 35-40 swipes). Onto the prizes. Not everyone is going to get a tablet or a TV, but this place has LICENSED plush for about 550 tickets! This is a good deal! All you need is one jackpot and you just got a nice plush: sonic, pokémon, minecraft, etc. The workers that I have dealt with have been pretty good, especially the younger workers. They are very respectful. An older worker had trouble understanding me, but overall I have had a good time going here. There was a time where the supervisor was hurt and things went down a bit (pucks and rings not going into the machine, coin pusher was down), but that time has passed. Even during that period of time the place was mediocre at worst, but still playable. If you know your way around arcades, I strongly recommend checking this place out. read more

We found this place on yelp searching for fun things to do on a Thursday with a kid in the rain! We flew into LA to take our son to Disneyland for his birthday and since we flew in mid-day we wanted to find a place to have fun indoors (since it was raining). We bowled two games. We got a fairly decent price since it was mid-day on a weekday. There was some kind of bowling league or party going on which took most of the main area however off to the right there were plenty of lanes open for other walk ins like us. I was amazed at how big this alley was since there was another lane area behind where we ended up bowling (back to back, I'd never seen that before!) which wasn't being used at all yet. Our two games went quickly so we decided to check out the arcade. They had a deal for 1 hour unlimited* (*it's limited to one game per 60-90 seconds or something like that so you can't really play as many games as you can/want in the hour - their system makes you wait to re-scan) arcade games (any of them) for $19.00. This was a special rate since it was a weekday before a certain time (I am not sure what time it changes?). After the first hour, my son and husband had so much fun, we decided to get another hour card. After 2 hours, we had over 1200 tickets to spend in their ticket store. Not only did my son have fun bowling and playing arcade games for 2 hours, he was excited to get birthday prizes from the tickets too! The prizes ranged from your standard crappy arcade prizes to some really cool (mid-range ticket qty) toys like a light up spinning disk that you shoot off, etc. to a playstation! The whole family enjoyed the day and left happy! Great place to go for some indoor family fun. read more

The only thing I'm going to be commenting in this review is the arcade because that is the reason why many people visit Regency in the first place. What makes Regency different from most other arcades is their competition for fighting games. If you don't want to drive all the way to Family Fun Arcade for the best competition, then visit Regency instead for some good competition. The two games that get played the most is Street Fighter III: Third Strike and Marvel vs. Capcom 2, both having two cabinets each. If are are still practicing, come during the afternoon where the competition is not as intense. Come during the night if you rather play against people that can put up a challenge. Sometimes there are tournaments that are held which brings in people from other arcades, including well known people such as former champ Alex Valle. Other fighting games include Guilty Gear XX, Capcom vs. SNK 2, Tekken 5, etc. If fighting games aren't your thing, then there's always other alternatives like Initial D, Maximum Tune, and several other interactive games. Games are fairly cheap with most being only a quarter like the old arcade days. While not the best arcade in the world, it's still a very a good one compared to places like Powerstation or Nickel Nickel especially if you want some competition. read more

Place has a deal too good to be true. The unlimited games in one hour is a trap. After every game you have to wait 70-90 seconds in between games. So you are easily limited on the hour. Ontop KD the fact some games are just 20-30 seconds long. You do more waiting around than playing. read more

Wanted to plan a birthday here and made an appointment for a run through and no one showed up and they asked if u wanted to just wait around to see if someone would show up meaning someone may not ? i just think that's horrible planning and service . A lot of updated games. I remember there use to be a lot of ol skool games but now they have a lot of selection from arcade games, to basketball shooting, football throwing, a mini bowling alley,and pool table. However,I feel like this place is a little pricy but it's a cool place to check out. The only downside is that the AC WAS OFF. I was sweating playing marvels vs capcom. It was like a workout. So, if you need a fun workout place and need to sweat out try this place. Lol jk but I do recommend coming here if you're bored. Good way to for $5 to last you an hour, but then the fun is over. Not enough arcade machines in good working order and not enough period. But let's face it, it's a dying art. The art hockey machine played pretty nicely and this motorcycle game they have there really is the best in its class. 4 different Marvel vs. Capcom machines is a bit overkill though. This arcade is pretty legit. They have a good selection of games and it seems like they are really trying to take care of the place now. I really only go for the fighting game because their selection it pretty good. Hell they have Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition which is great. Game List: Street Fighter 4 AE Street Fighter Third Strike Marvel VS Capcom 2 Capcom Vs Snk 2 plus many more games I can't name... The best days to go are Friday and Saturday evenings around 7 because most people come later. They use a card system similar to Dave and Busters but most games are only 25 cent though. So if you got some time to kill and are short on cash you can hit this place up for some cheap fun. read more

Some fun games, my daughter had a great time, but I wouldn't let young ones go here unsupervised. Some older kids seem to just get dropped off here and left to run feral, and some unsavoury individuals frequent the attatched restaurants. read more
