Oh look - my review went back up to a 5. :) they have their own beers on tap and have consolidated one tab for food and beer! Yay! Todd was especially awesome this past weekend! Came here with a friend and we wanted to try literally everything on the food menu. Fries are consistent as always. Chicken tenders are sometimes more crispy than other days. The pickled eggs are . And burger is good. First time trying the kale salad. It's plentiful and doused with dressing. I'm tore bc I want healthy but without the more dressing, kale is one of meh. Was that tofu in it? Maybe. Tried the bacon brownie with the icecream. Yummy. Not the best but it was solid. Good food with good beer is hard to find!

I kind of loved this location! Both the burgers were delicious. French Onion Burger definitely had the soup vibes. Skirt burger, we originally thought skirt steak was involved, but loved the presentation with the cheese skirt. We ordered one side of fries for 3 of us and the aioli was great. They were very busy, but efficient. Placing order took the longest. They had two POS systems, one for beer and one for food. They were very apologetic, honestly it was fine, probably just time-consuming for them. We also tried the Tenders which were very mediocre and we didn't finish.

Smog city is one of the "big " microbreweries in Torrance. This is essentially a tasting room. Key Note: it has parking Ambiance: Way cool. Small but cozy, very comfortable to spend time. Service: Again, way cool. Super friendly and happy to explain everything Food: Impressed by the superior pub grub. Given the small kitchen they really do good gastro pub food. Had the friend chicken sandwich. Comes with a selection of picckled products. But you have to order the fries on the side Other : No ice tea. But they do have Mexican coke The beer was predominated by ipa and hazy IPAs. When will we get some other variety from microbreweries ?

Pickled eggs yum. love they come with peppers

I am a huge fan of the chicken wings here and of the pickled vegetables, especially the pickled beets. Almost wish I can order a side of those all by themselves. I love the pickled egg as well. The hamburgers and the fries and the brussels sprouts and the pretzel and the veggie burger and fried cauliflower are all amazing as well. Sometimes I just come here for the food. The beers here are amazing and delicious, but there are not as many beers here as there were when they were at Steele craft. There still is a nice selection of drinks though. The staff is super friendly. And it's really nice here because you could sit indoors or outdoors on the patio. Bonus, there is plenty of parking nearby. Best to you all, Jed

Wonderful find with a cozy, comfy neighborhood feel and genuinely great service. The ambience is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal with family or friends. The menu is creative and a little fanciful in the best way, everything we tried was satisfying and full of bold, thoughtful flavor. Highlights for us were the Crispy Brussel Sprouts with sweet Thai chili sauce, perfectly crispy and addictive. The Ramen Roost was fun and unique with pickled eggs, a ramen noodle nest, and pretzel sticks. Both the French Onion Burger with gruyere and onion soubise and the Smash Burger with gochujang aioli were juicy, well balanced, and packed with flavor. We also loved the West Coast Bavarian Pretzel with whole grain Dijon and the fresh Chickpea Kale Caesar. Drinks like the Bundaberg Peach and Leninaid soda were a refreshing touch. A great spot that feels local, creative, and delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Service was great and the beer tender was friendly and knowledgeable. Todd provided a lot of attention even when it was busy. Just know that the location has a few beers on tap until license gets approved they are offering some beers that are canned. The food is delicious! The buffalo wings, fries, and pretzel is our go to as of right now. We have returned twice and everyone is super friendly and cool. Courtney, Alex, Dina, Todd, and Cello have been a great vibe! The bathroom is clean and real nice.

Very cute and welcoming space was able to chill, catch up on work , and enjoy a good brew

Love this new spot it's better than steel craft in my opinion and happy that's it's still close to Bixby knolls. They have food , wifi , indoors AND outdoors , and there are two humans here who make me feel seen and I appreciate them , will get their names next time but I can confirm I return for vibes. The brew is good too ! I love stouts and they do carry a couple good stouts too ! A definite must visit if your looking to just chill for a bit.

Great beer. Great food. Space is very clean and welcoming! It's an indoor / outdoor space and we stopped by on a chilly/windy day and it was freezing inside but would be perfect for spring/summer! Highly recommend the burger!

Cozy interior with a fun relaxed vibe.

I love that they're doing high quality food in a relaxed atmosphere that is geared toward adults but still friendly enough that people can bring their kids. Service is quick and friendly. What's the best piece of their knowledge about beer is extensive.

The person who helped us the most was, Soky. He was absolutely great They are on the water with a nice view of the marina and you can sit here and do some boat watching (it's gorgeous if you come here during sunset) the outdoor seating is very spacious. They even have a second level for a rooftop outdoor view. I'd say more people like to eat outside here vs inside. -this place is used for a lot of private events. parking can get extremely crowded Also, this place can be extremely loud It's open seating and we ended up ordering outside for their bbq special they were having (we had to order the BBQ outside) and then you go to their serve your own water stations if you are just drinking water, like we were We got -pastrami fries 5/5 -pepperoni pizza 3/5 -BBQ special 5/5 -brownie caramel sundae 5/5 I'm not a beer person, but their beer menu is impressive. They have limited options when it comes to other alcohol. When it comes to the food menu, they have a bit of everything. They have a big selection of - small bites / appetizers. Which makes it perfect to share with friends. They have pizzas Burgers Seafood options Pastrami burgers and pastrami fries (their pastrami is a favorite here) Vegetarian options And, weekday specials I like the atmosphere. Just be prepared, it does get pretty noisy in here during the weekend at peak hours. They have TVs and just from the amount of people packed in here. The atmosphere inside also has a view of the water. It's just one big glass window. So you can see the outside view from inside They offer a military discount And WiFi

Upon walking in the host said we could sit anywhere but on this day, half of the restaurant was closed off for a party which was fine. We sat on the beautiful deck. The tables have QR codes which is fine but it does tie you to that table making it hard to change tables mid order (will get to this point in a minute). 10 minutes into sitting down, a patron walks by us and as he is next to our table he buckles over and throws up. It's like 1pm on a Wednesday mind you...this bro was being a messy ass queen and getting that drunk at 1pm on a Wednesday? Bro get yourself a wife. Anyways. By this point we had already ordered and since the QR code is attached to the table and since that's how we ordered, we had to wait for our food before being able to move tables. 10 minutes then 20 minutes go by and not a single employee has come by to clean up the vomit and it's right next to our table and in main walk way... After we got our food, we moved tables and ate. The food was just okay at best. Way too expensive for that's ballast point for you.

On the day that I went, they had a mariscos vendor that sold delicious ceviches. Note that during peak dinner hours, the wait times for pizza from Thunderbolt can be close to 30 minutes. I went with Ambitious Ale's Central Perk, which was a blonde ale with madagascar vanilla and guatemalan coffee notes, and these flavors were surprisingly present and not subtle. They had tons of unique flavor options here and I definitely would love to come back to try some cold ones with some pizza. Their fruity options were pretty popular with my work group. Their Jollibeer (inspired by the Peach and Mango pies at Jollibee) was a lager with mango and peach puree. The beers I had were crisp, full flavored, and ice cold. Perfect at the end of a work week! Mid week when we arrived which wasn't too crazy. There was no one on the patio which was nice as it gave us first choice for a seat...lol... Everyone was seating inside. The place itself isn't that big. You have the bar area with some bar seating. Then there's a couple of tables inside and of course the patio which is along the sidewalk. Personally I prefer sitting outside for the people watching. The staff were all amazing and very friendly. Places like that make the experiences more enjoyable. You want someone who is friendly and respectful. As we were there early, we grabbed one of the beer which they have quite a good selection on tap. There's also wine if you're not into beer. When it came time to grab some food, we were able to get a table inside. Majority of the breweries tends to serve pretty much the same things, pizza sandwiches and salads. No complaints here. Simple food goes a long way. There were a couple of us so we grabbed a few things to share. Started off with the pretzel balls with cheese dip and honey mustard and the chips with queso cheese dip. Pretzel was tasty and outdid the queso dip. Pizzas of course which were pretty big in sizes. A couple of the pizzas and a salad did four of us with leftovers. Their Hawaiian pizza was quite tasty and was finished. We also ordered one of the mushroom pizzas with an egg. It was tasty but a little on the salty side. The arugula salad was delicious. Simple but tasty. And then there was ham pizza I believe with onions and peppercini. That was also a favorite of the night. Overall, the place was quite fun. Not a big brewery and more intimate. The crowd was great and as most places are very kid and family friendly. There was couple of kids when we arrived. Service was great. Food and drinks were enjoyed and the service and staff were excellent. Street parking available along the front but also along the neighborhood.
