Sea Breeze Charters - Talk about a great day!

    Sea Breeze Charters

I have been fishing with Sea Breeze Charters for salmon exclusively since 1979! Our boys learned to…read morefish for salmon when they were young there and this year our grandson, Wyatt, also came out for 3 days and fished. Every boat crew has been great, and I have never been disappointed with their fishing abilities, gracious attitudes, patience, and joy when seeing people enjoy their trips(s) while getting fish. Most recently we were on the Four Seasons (12 PAX boat), the Legacy (larger 6 PAX boat, and the Bluefin (6 PAX boat) last week for three days on the ocean. Although the larger boats are just as amazing in catching fish and having a wonderful time on the water, the great thing about the 6 PAX vessels is that you are normally back much earlier as there is a smaller limit needed before returning. Having said that, we are often back by 11:00 in the morning, even on the larger boats. The ladies in the front office are wonderful and work with you not only in scheduling boats that meet your needs but also when your schedule changes. I normally make reservations about 9 months early and adjust as we get closer and they have always been most helpful. I will continue fishing with Sea Breeze Charters exclusively for the salmon seasons until I am no longer able to do these trips.

They make a great team, provide the very best equipment, and do everything to ensure you have a whale (tuna?) of a time. We departed the port very early in the morning and proceeded to blast by all the other charters (including ones that started hours earlier) en route to the fishing. Nobody digs taking your time over the bar and their boat guarantees you don't. Upon hitting the fishing "grounds" (why do they call it that!?), we trolled around for about an hour, had a hit or two to tell us we were getting to the right area, and then suddenly all hell broke loose. The next hour or two was nonstop action with a fresh 25-35lb fish entering the boat every couple of minutes. All hands were tied up as we filled the boat in very little time. Based on radio communication, I believe that not only were we one of the first boats to the target water, but we were the first to find the fish, and I'm pretty certain the first to return to port. As much as I like boat rides, charter fishing is not about the ride, and both me and my body were happy to be back on land in the shortest amount of time. By 5pm our fish had been cleaned, packed, and we were on our way home. Everyone left with a filled cooler and a beaming smile on their face. Random notes: - Lunch and drinks are provided. - Bring your own cooler. - Wear sunscreen. - Wear rubber rain boots. - Overdose on dramamine or get your doctor to prescribe you "the patch" - Pack light - you really don't need much. - Save the drinking for the return. - Jackpole. - There will be blood.
