Loved it here. The waiting room is nice but I sat in it for all of three minutes. I Needed to find a dentist quick in a new city because I was having some tooth pain before the holidays. Not only did I get an appointment quick, they were also able to fit in a cleaning. Dr. Del Castillo was so nice and explained what he thought was causing the issue well and then fixed it up and let me know that if I had any problems I could give him a call (btw the tooth is doing great). 5/5 would recommend. read more

I love this dentist office. I've had a few visits including a cleaning, whitening and a minor cosmetic procedure. Each time all of the staff have been extremely polite, professional and also did such a great job! I'd especially like to mention the hygienist Evangelina for an outstanding job. I work in healthcare myself and her patience, enthusiasm and expertise blew me away and does not go unnoticed! Exceptional! Let me mention first, Nina and Lara -they are the most loveliest and will greet you at reception. Next is Michel, when she first became my hygienist -she informed/explained to me all about dental health. I came to her with gingivitis and she did a deep cleaning that helped get rid of the gum disease before it progressed any further. She now does my routine cleaning. I am genuinely impressed with how clean my teeth feel and how nice they look every time I get up from her chair. You will love meeting her and she makes teeth cleaning cool, WTH? And Dr. Luis is an excellent dentist. He is attentive, great with his patients, and did a wonderful job on my X-Rays and fillings. Both Michel and Dr. Luis are knowledgeable professionals who take pride in their dental work and it shows. I had a filling fell out 3 years ago, was actively searching for all the dentists around but it was just impossible to get an appointment, finally I called the BHDA and they managed to fit me in for a same day appointment. After that I did my regular cleaning & a few other fillings here and was extremely happy with the results, I couldn't even tell where the filling was even though I'm a dental student b/c it was just so nicely done. Throughout the COVID crisis, the office practice safety measures beyond what others do. It just reflects the level of care given by the people there, especially Dr. del Castillo. Whenever I get the chance, I tell my friends who are looking for a professional dental office to go here. Actually, I've was given Dr. del Castillo's name by a friend of mine who is also a dentist. Over the years, I've had several dentists; some try to upsell services, which I view as their way to pay for their new car or summer home. This is definitely not how this practice operations. The office is very inviting with a nice living room space and coffee/tea for patients.The staff are lovely, and they make it a priority that you feel comfortable there. Their equipment is in great shape and their exam rooms are very welcoming to patients. Dr. Cohen and his team are terrific. He is very experienced, does not try to get you to buy services you do not need , and refers you to specialists as outstanding as he is. The staff is great and the location-down the street from Cheers convenient. It is like going into someone's house not a sterile dental office when you first enter. I had Dr. Cohen as my densest for some years then moved out of star and am now back. The dentist I went to in Denver said he was blown away by the quality of my dentistry-from Dr. Cohen. Dr. Cohen is open on a Saturday too as are the hygienists and is always very fast to respond to emergencies including on weekend. read more

I have been coming to Beacon Hill Dental Associates for a couple of months now and I love their team. Michel, Dr Del Castillo, Stephane, Samantha and Nina and the rest of their team are fantastic! They make you feel very comfortable (yes, I said "comfortable" talking about a dentist ,they will do everything they can to make every procedure painless). Their office is superb and I cannot say enough good things about their staff and how they handle their patients or at least me (BTW, you truly feel like a patient instead of a customer). Their patient management system is very convenient as you will receive automatic reminders by text of your upcoming visits and they will always do their best to accommodate to your schedule. They go above and beyond to provide the best service possible. My experience with the team at Beacon Hill dental has been excellent. After looking around for a while, and sadly unlike many other practices in town in my experience, they do Not Try to find things to do in your mouth. The hygienist Michelle is thorough and my teeth always feel very clean afterwards. The only work I have had done is to correct some poor and sadly, what seems to have been some unnecessary work done by previous dentists here in the city, fixing a gap between a crown and another tooth, but never giving me the dreaded, "we have to pull your tooth and put in an implant" as some others have suggested. ( not a good thing for a flutist) Instead the husband and wife team approach any issues you have with gentleness and consideration, and competence! I have grown to really trust them. I've been a patient of the Castillos since they took over Dr. Cohen's practice and have only the highest praise for this team. As my father was a dentist, I've always been hyper-critical of the dentists I've had since leaving his care, but the Castillos pass my exacting standards with flying colors. They excel both in their professional expertise and in their sensitivity. This is one office where concern for the patients and high performance standards are the focus -- not the pursuit of profits -- something increasingly rare in Boston. OK - updated review. Following their reply to the review on yelp, my spouse called them back. Turns out the secretary who made the error in the first place did the same to a lot of other people, and it's not clear she ever actually discussed it with her superiors, as she said she would. She is no longer working at the clinic. Our money was refunded promptly, and the issue completely resolved. They seem to be back on top of their game now. Seems like it was just initial "growing pains". My spouse is particularly thrilled because he attests that the care is outstanding, and now he'll happily continue to go there. read more
