Kevin Kwon, DMD - My wife after oral surgery required urgent follow-up as the surgeon was out of the country during the holiday season. This was a Saturday when most offices were closed. Dr. Kwon carved out time to see her even though she was not his patient. With great skill and compassion, Dr. Kwon calmed my wife down, took the necessary steps to steps to ensure her healing was without serious complications that required treatment, and proceeded to check in on her through texts and calls over the next several days and weeks. I highly recommend Dr. Kwon for his skill, attention to detail, and most of all for the compassion he has for his patients. Brookline Dental Center is lucky to have him as part of their staff. BTW-My wife is a nurse and I am a physician. We appreciate the importance of trust between a caregiver and a patient, that the caregiver will do their best to help a patient get well. I have been going to this practice for years. The office staff (Anna and Leslie) are welcoming, efficient, and accommodating. My dental hygienist--Renee--is amazing. She inspires me to take very good care of my teeth at home--giving detailed instructions as to what needs to be done. She always tells the dentist which teeth need attention. Dr. Lee is extremely competent and seems to take trouble to avert dental disasters. The practice is pristinely clean. Had a really pleasant experience here today. Wendy, the hygienist, was absolutely lovely, personable, and quite gentle. My teeth feel super clean now . Dr Shah took the time to explain certain things to me that previous dentists have never bothered to mention, and she had a lovely demeanor and gentle touch as well- I'll be back for a procedure with her soon! And the office staff were all fabulous. The entire experience was pain free and efficient, and they are handling talking to insurance which I really appreciate. This review is for Dr. Faheem Rasool and the office staff. He is the most gentle and caring dentist I have ever had. I've been thru several dentists and have a slight panic when I need treatment done,(thanks to some prev. bad experiences) but Dr. Rasool is the first dentist to make me feel comfortable before we start and walks me throughout exactly what I am going to experience. The office is modern and chic. The receptionists are the sweetest. Calling my old dentist's office was literally like pulling teeth, no pun intended, just to schedule appointment - but it's the smoothest process here and they are very accommodating with appointments. I always have the same dental assistant doing my cleaning and remembers me, which is a great feeling. I had previously been to another dentist in Boston and had a not so great experience. He told me I had all sorts of problems and recommended a slew of (expensive) procedures. I'd been meaning to find another dentist for a few years and never seemed to get around to it. I finally chose this one due to proximity to my work office and positive reviews. After going a few years without a cleaning, I was super nervous to go and was expecting to receive a lecture and more bad news about the state of my teeth. From the moment I walked in, I had the greatest experience. They were busy, but I didn't have to wait. My hygienist, Michelle, was amazing! She was as gentle as she could be, but still got the job done and was so nice to chat with as we were getting started. I felt respected and at ease the entire time. After a quick review with Dr. Rasool at the end, they confirmed that I didn't have the issues the previous dentist told me I had. I've found my new dentist and will be back, as instructed, every 6 months! My friend also went to see them after a 10 year dental care hiatus for an infected tooth. They fit her on the day she called complaining of tooth pain as a new patient and treated her respectfully from start to finish. They were kind, but provided enough tough love that she will also continue to return to their practice, as prescribed. Great practice! Would absolutely recommend to anyone! read more

I had been going to BDC since when Dr. Zabinsky owned it, and continued as a patient under Dr. Shah-Hosseini. But the person who spent the most time with my teeth was my dental hygenist, Heidi Matthews. She always gave my teeth the right amount of "tough love" needed from a hygenist! Maybe it's standard now -- or a sign of my getting older -- but BDC religiously checked my gum pockets each visit in order to check progress. Overall, I had nothing specially done, just regularly checkups and occasional fillings over the over the years. I have recommended BDC to friends, and am happy to recommend here as well. read more

This review is for doctor Andre Hashem that works at Brookline Dental. He's a superstar! I've been following him all over Boston and surrounding areas. Moreover, I live on the West Coast now but I still flew to see him. (I don't think it'll happen more ;-( It is extremely difficult to find a new doctor that you can trust your life with. He is that doctor! Very professional, smart, and funny. I've seen him many, many, many times and he NEVER disappointed me. Unfortunately, although my dental hygiene is good, I inherited extremely crappy teeth and had to spend a lot of time and $$$. I like him because he never forced anything on me, like unnecessary procedures (oh boy, I had a dentist like that and it scared/scarred me for life). He's not after your $$$. A lovely hygienist from the Revere area gave me a cleaning- on my implants (entire mouth) My regular dentist , Dr. Urdaneta is an incredibly skilled dentist, especially when it comes to implants. From check in, to dental work - they remain the very best!

I had to go in for the dreaded root canal, but the endodontist Dr. Wucherpfennig was amazing.. She calmly explained what the problem was and how she was going to fix it. She also made sure I was comfortable and suitably anesthetized during the procedure. She even called me on my cell phone over the weekend to check in and make sure I was ok. Everyone here is super-nice and helpful. I highly recommend going to Brookline Dental Center as they make the dentist's office significantly less terrifying to the point it wasn't terrifying at all. read more

I have been going to Brookline Dental Center for 12 years. I came with a mouth full of dental work that was causing problems and they fixed everything that was broken. Since that time, I have needed to have crowns replaced. They have state of the art equipment that makes teeth in a 3D printer so the whole thing is done in one visit and because the crown is made from a computer image, it fits perfectly. If you have an emergency someone will see you right away. Every single person in the office is courteous and competent. Other people I have referred have been similarly thrilled with the care they have received. read more

After relocating to Manhattan several years ago I never found a new dentist as I loved Dr. Rassol and his staff. I continue to use the services of Brookline Dental Center. Last time I was up in Boston I saw the new offices, a state of the art high tech space. Parking is a harder to find, but I was told they may have some spaces around the corner. I honestly love this place! I had a very real fear of the dentist stemming from a bad experience as a child. My parents would drive me an hour and a half to a children's dentist where they would give laughing gas just to get me through a cleaning. When I first started going here about 4 years ago I had to take Lorazepam to get myself through the doors and into the chair. I share this because it's important in showing how truly amazing this place is. I had a lot of work done over the first 3 years: two root canals, three crowns, and a few cavities filled. Dr. Shah-Hosseini, Dr. Wucherpfennig, and their staff are fantastic. They miraculously eased my anxiety and have provided outstanding care. Dr. Wucherpfennig herself even called me the night after a complicated emergency root canal just to see how I was doing (who does that these days??). I am so appreciative of the thoughtfulness and thorough follow-up of everyone at BDC. I now look forward to going in for my cleanings and am elated that after my first few visits I no longer rely on Lorazepam to get me through it. I have been a patient at Brookline Dental since 2004. Like many people I dont like the dentist. However, I always feel very comfortable and at ease while at Brookline Dental. The staff is great, from Sonya at the front desk to my hygienist Michelle. I have very sensitive teeth and she is always cautious of the most sensitive areas and my teeth feel great when I leave there. I have been using the Brookline Dental Center since it began, and I have always been well treated and well cared for. Michelle West, who is my dental hygienist, does a great job and is most pleasant. Drs. Rasool, Wucherpfenig, Crohin, and Shah-Hosseini have been especially good at giving me emergency care when I had painful tooth problems. I have had extractions, tooth implants, fillings, and root canals (a result of childhood cavities and fillings some 60 plus years ago). They lied to me about taking my insurance. I only found out they didn't take it when I received the bill. They claim it was a mistake, but never informed me over a period of four months and three separate appointments, at which point I finally discovered it for myself in the form of a bill. Then, they still insisted on me paying the bill, which I was surprised to discover is perfectly legal. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more
