What a pretentious little shop this was. To begin, there was a sign on the door that indicated masks needed to be worn even if one was vaccinated. I went to put on my mask when I saw that the owner of the shop was not wearing a mask herself. Really? The jewelry pieces that were already made up and displayed were really quite beautiful, but I went in for beading supplies and I found the selection too sparse and boutique-y for me. I looked around for fewer than five minutes, and was not acknowledged by the shopkeeper who was busy with another customer. A simple hello would've been nice. I determined that this store was really more geared to finished artisan pieces than it was for supplies to make artisan pieces and left. read more

The owner is a true "artist". I went w/my 95 year old mother to have many pieces of fine jewelry reset & fixed. She took her time with us, made many great suggestions. When the work was completed everything was beautiful - the finished pieces were better than I could have imagined. The pricing was so low. I was amazed. I don't think I have ever met someone so rude! I'm talking about the woman who was there the three times I went in. (Side note: my necklace is repaired now and I won't be going back.) Any question you ask she has a defensive answer or a condescending tone like it was a dumb question or how dare you ask that, Example: there's this blue stone my girlfriend likes and I know it comes from a certain country... Instead of naming a few popular blue stones, her answer is do you know how many blue stones there are. When I found out it was larimar she said they're over there and waved her hand. I asked to see something and she let out an exasperating breath! When I went to pick up my necklace (with my repair slip!), she apologized that the safe accidentally locked and can't be opened until 2. Well I asked my boyfriend to get it on his way home from work , and he was berated for not having the repair slip. He was told the necklace can't be located without it. That's funny because she told me they were alphabetical and didn't need the slip when I handed it to her. I think she thrives on being unpleasant. Anyone who has been there knows exactly what I am talking about. There are some beautiful pieces and stones and beads in her shop I have to say but she still gets half a star from me. The store is well decorated and looks as though you've been whisked away into another pretty & serene world. Then if you're greeted at all which I wasn't until I was there for ten minutes and until I sought out attention (there was only one other person in the store) you realize the woman, I'm not sure if she owns it, is the rudest most unhelpful heathen I've ever encountered. She was condescending and unhelpful and quite honestly I'd use the deaded "c" word I hate so much to describe her, she 100% earned it. I'm now convinced this seemingly lovely place is the devils den run by some creature spawned by satan himself. Plus the air is perfumed so heavily with toxic chemical air freshener, I probably lost a month of my life in the fifteen minutes I spent in the store. The questions I asked in the store (which I didn't get answers to) were for my husband who makes glass beads with his torch. When I saw my husband I told him I went in the bead store to buy him a gift but the lady was a giant "C." To which he said, "I KNOW!!!" "I went in there once and she was extremely rude to me also." I attended a jewelry night there for Verona Walk. If you have 4-7 friends, the owner will host such an evening--just call her up to arrange it.. You only pay for what you create. The female owner was wonderful and very helpful. She put out a feast for her guests, and she seemed very knowledgeable about stones. I thought the prices were reasonable--given the quality of stones used. A bracelet with high quality stones (pearls, abalone, Murano glass) could run anywhere from $50 to $80, a necklace from $80-140. This cost did not seem unreasonable--given that I paid those prices in Italy for bracelets I purchased. And it was so much fun to be creative. Even if you have no artistic talent, she will help you to create something beautiful. But it's easy to become inspired--since so much beautiful jewelry is on display, all of it the owner's creations. Instead of finding the ambiance "demonic," I found it to be pretty and serene as Danielle referenced. I am surprised that Linda's problems were not resolved, however. I hope Linda will try once more because the woman I met was very helpful. read more

I was very excited to discover a bead store about 5 minutes from my house but what a disappointment it turned out to be. Unless you are looking for gemstones or pearls there wasn't much else to choose from...not a seed bead in sight. The first strand of gemstones that caught my eye had a hefty $125 price tag, the next couple I looked at didn't have a price tag. That's really all I looked at, the heavy perfumey smell was too much to handle. I think what really headed me toward the door was the snooty woman behind the counter though. When I walked in she seemed to size me up and I must have been found lacking...she didn't look at me again. Another woman walked in just as I made up my mind to leave, I could see the smell bothered her too. She walked out right after I did. I stopped in to pick out a present for my wife. The store was highly recommended to me by a good friend. Do not think I was halfway in the front door before i was greeted with a smile & a hello. I explained to the nice saleslady what I was shopping for & she gave me a lot of great recommendations. All the prices seem very reasonable and the selection was vast. I picked out a pair of earrings. Could not believe the low price I paid. I am sure it would have been three or four times more if I had gone to a mall store. I brought a swarski crystal ankle bracelet in and when I picked it up two days later, the owner had switched my bracelet to smaller crystals. She said this is what you brought in, I said no I didn't, they were larger and much nicer (I had purchased my bracelet from a reputable place) and it was beautiful, she gave me this small bracelet, which was too large for my ankle.. Don't ever go to bead it for a watch battery. I took my MOVADO watch in for a battery. She gave me the watch back with the gold dot at ten after instead of twelve o'clock. She insisted that is where it goes. She's crazy or she is just losing it. She is not a jeweler! Her husband is the excellent jeweler but he is no where to be found for years. She looks like Betty Davis in what ever happened to baby Jane. I had to send my watch to MOVADO professional jewelers in New Jersey. Well that five dollar battery cost me THREE HUNDRED TWENTY FOUR dollars. The waterproof watch was destroyed. I know that my watch is not a Rolex but it was like new and had a special meaning to me. If you find something you like, purchase it and take it home that day you will do fine with this store. However, my experience was terrible when I needed sizing of a ring purchased at the store, it was promised in 1 week and it took 2 months. I experienced the worst customer service ever when my husband purchased a bracelet for me for Christmas 2015 and was told a matching necklace would be no problem to make if we would wait until January. Well a year later and too many unpleasant conversations to count with Betty, the store owner, and the necklace was still not made. My husband and I both felt like we were putting her out every time we called or stopped in to ask about it. She repeatedly would say check back in 2 weeks, 2 months, and then when we did she was condescending and rude. This store is very pretty and has some pretty beads for sale but the jewelry is pricey. I called the female owner of the store after I made a purchase and was told that I was wrong about the contents in her merchandise. My problem was not a large one nor an expensive one it was that one of the earrings made my ear itch and fester. I told her about my ear begged to differ with her and she would hear none of that because she said they don't deal in that quality of goods. Well I know better as I'm nursing my earlobe back to normal. There was really no reason for her to be as Curt and definite as she was on the phone when I am the customer and Am having the problem from something purchased from her store. With her attitude there is no need for me to ever go back to her store again.
