This is possibly the best baby store I've ever seen! We stopped in on our recent vacation, and I wanted to buy one of everything. If you're looking for a quality baby gift, or you just love getting nice things for your own kids, this is the place!! They have high-end brands, organic items, eco-friendly items, and truly just the cutest clothes and toys. I was so excited to walk in and see my favorite bamboo brand (Brave Little Ones), and I had such a nice conversation with the girl behind the counter. I was walking around downtown SLO while in town when I walked into this cute children store. They have children items such as books, clothes, necessities and the best part a play area in the back for other moms and children to hang out at. I think they also offer classes or activities of some sort. Anyhow very cute idea. Parking is not available right of the street. you will have to find metered parking around the downtown area or the parking structure. read more

This is the best children's store ever! My husband and I were blown away by the variety and quality of merchandise. They have top-of-the-line clothing for infants to size 8, lots of books, lots of educational toys and puzzles, and unique tableware for tots. The prices are very reasonable. Customer service is top notch and we were delighted with the whole experience. We actually live 2 1/2 hours away from San Luis Obispo but we are already planning our next trip specifically to visit this store. read more

Yes, a year has went by and I totally promised to write this review. People really need to see how amazing this store is! So to start, I'm from San Diego. My husband and I were driving to Monterey, and well, of course somehow the bottom of our UPPABaby care seat broke. I'm not sure how, but I was immediately stuck. I couldn't drive anywhere, because of my sons safety. So, I ran into this place. Uppababy didn't want to help. BUT Ariana worked so closely with my emotional self (I was crying because Uppababys solution was to offer to overnight a car seat to us.) We weren't staying in San Luis Obispo so this wasn't an option, unless they wanted to pay for a hotel for us. Ariana offered to personally give us the one in her store, in exchange, uppa baby would send her the replacement. She was so sweet. I was freaking out. LOL So, we drove from San Diego to her place a few weeks ago, and purchased a convertible car seat from her. Sure, that brand could have been purchased here, but we REALLY wanted to give her the business that she deserves. Thank you so much Ariana!!! read more

I love this place! The staff is always so sweet and they carry an awesome selection of eco friendly baby things and some from local businesses. Every time I'm downtown I wander in because they always update their front table with whatever newness they have in store. I also bought my nuna convertible car seat here, I knew that was the one I wanted but went to this store to order it because the shipping is so fast! This review is way overdue. My wife and I were due with our second baby in early March 2020. In October 2019 I secretly bought my wife the uppababy Vista stroller for our anniversary. She wanted this stroller when we had our first child in 2017. I took one look at the price tag and said "no way." I let my ignorance get the best of me. Looking back I wish I would have bought it in 2017 and got full use of the stroller with our two kiddos. To make a long story short I was looking at the Vista stroller and trying to guess what my wife wanted (big mistake) so I could surprise her with her new stroller. Significant others, don't do this, but it together. Abbie, was nothing short of stellar helping me through the decision process. The issue we ran into was that our 2 year old is very tall. We had concern that she would not fit in the extra seat. We decided to wait for the new model to come out as there is now extra room between the two seats. I had already purchased the car seat, extra base and some additional attachments for the stroller that I had in my posession for months. Abbie and her team all the while keeping me up to speed with the new model of the Vista coming out. In the end our daughter was still too big for the stroller and we decided not to purchase it. Abbie granted us a FULL refund for the stroller and the additional attachments and car seats that we purchased. We were very disappointed it did not work out. HOWEVER, Abbie was absolutely stellar through the entire process. Abbie and her team have earned a life long customer and we will absolutely be back for whatever baby needs we have into the future. In the day and age of online purchasing it is very refreshing to have such a personable small business owner in our community. I started off with sticker shock when wanting to buy the Uppababy Vista stroller and ended up feeling guilty it did not work out for our family. My advice is if you are looking into this product to buy it and buy it from EcoBambino. read more

Horrible customer service! Walked in with my wife to purchase a stroller and was completely ignored by the staff. There were two younger girls working who wouldn't even say hi to us..... Walked down to pottery barn and ordered the Nuna stroller and car seat travel system though their kids department. No wonder small business is failing in SLO read more

I knew I loved this place from the moment it had me screaming "awww, how cute!" repeatedly in front of its window displays. The stuff in this shop is absolutely adorable. Prices are a tad high, but who can blame them since the rents are high in this area. This place rocks! They used to always have a booth at San Luis' Farmer's Market but has since moved into their very own store front. Lots of eco friendly clothes, baby gear and best of all toys! They carry all kinds of eco-friendly toys such as Plan Toys, Green Toys, and lots of other "wooden" and high quality toys that are priced competitively with some online shops. To add they will be starting activities for the kids which gives local parents another alternative for things to do in the downtown. Every time I go in this store, I end up buying more than I planned because I fall in love with about 20 things. They have so much awesome merchandise! Everything I have bought for my friends' kids here has been a huge hit! This is not the place to go for discount merchandise. You'll pay a little more than you would elsewhere, but you get quality for your dollar. The clearance rack is usually full of some good stuff if you're looking for a deal though. Their cloth diaper selection is awesome and they have lots of good practical items! I really like this store. They have activity time for little ones and the sales people are super friendly and have great suggestions when you are looking for gifts. I went to this store looking for baby shower items and not only were they on par with online and big store prices, but they gift wrapped everything and were super nice. I am expecting my first child and could not dream of a better place as an eco-conscious and price conscious mom. I found the staff super helpful, the store absolutely charming, and without the mark ups one can usually expect from boutiques. All prices were comparable to prices I've found on line. We bought our stroller the first day we set foot in the store! After 2 months of research we were still torn about having a Jane stroller system shipped from Europe (carbon footprint and cost on our mind)... EcoBambino's Uppababy stroller had all the features we wanted AND plant-based fabrics and coloring. We were in heaven! My husband and I normally check prices on everything we buy but we were so happy and wanted to support such a great store in our community so we immediately bought the stroller system. This store is amazing! My wife and I were driving through SLO on a sunday on our way back to LA, when we decided to stop in town and stretch our legs. We had our three month old son with us and thought it would be good to get him out of his carseat for a bit. We came into this store about 20 minutes before closing. We were greeted right away by the owner who was very nice and helpful. We chatted a little bit and she allowed us to shop for a minute without feeling rushed even though it was closing time. My wife and I were sooo pleased with the service, we felt right at home and wish we could do all our baby shopping there. We live in l.a. and go to "giggle" in pasadena for similar products but never really get good service. Thank you guys so much and we hope to be back real soon on our next trip up! read more

I've gotten so many items from them from a high chair, which they shipped directly to my house, to sippy cups, to cloth diaper covers. I am a new grandma and was excited to visit this store. I'd heard lots of good things about it. Unfortunately, my experience was not good. While I was shopping at the store last Thursday evening , a young mom with a baby in a stroller near me was given a banana toothbrush for her baby by the sales girl. The sales girl told her that she had some that didn't have packaging and weren't sellable, so they were giving them away. I asked if I could have one. She said, "We'll see....." which I understood to mean that if I bought something she would give me a toothbrush as well. I found something to buy, paid for it, and she wrapped it very nicely. When done I asked about the toothbrush- she said it was only for regular customers and purchases over $25. My toy cost $11. I said that that hadn't been made clear, and that is why I bought the toy. She said, "sorry'.....but still no toothbrush! With the confusion caused by her vagueness, I can't imagine that she didn't offer me a toothbrush even though I didn't buy enough. I have many years to buy things for my grandson, and I am not much inclined to buy them at this store. What a shame- I love the concept, love their products and love that it's locally owned. read more

The items in this store are so adorable, yet pricey. The customer service is something to be desired. Be sure to save your receipt otherwise they do not stand by their products. I invested in a product and loved it, however it broke via normal wear and tear three months later and they were difficult to work with in getting me an exchange for the same exact product. This store is like Nordstroms for babies yet unfortunately not the same customer service. Sadly I won't consistently shop here, like I have in the past. read more

They have such an amazing variety of things, I have bought shoes, toys, pillow and cases, Charlie's Soap, and I would have taken one of everything else! I only buy high quality because when you have a large group of children using them, the cheap ones don't last. The toys they donated were a hit with my kids.
