I was visiting from out of town and stopped by this beautiful quilt shop. They had a nice array of beautiful fabrics and notions galore. Their selection of Quilting rulers is huge. I loved their kits! They also have classes and host retreats. The Customer Service was excellent. The owner went out of her way to show me a quilting technique that I did not understand for a quilt that I'm currently making. You don't find that everywhere. They obviously value their customers. The prices were reasonable, and the fabric was high-quality. I will be back! read more

Staying in Availa Beach I always like to visit local Quilt Stores. I found a gem in Orcutt. You don't want to miss this quilt store if you're in the area. Tons of cottons, interfacings and patterns. Located on the main drag in Orcutt this little shop is packed with cute fabrics and patterns for quilts, bags and inspiration. The staff is knowledgable and helpful and there are also small gift local to the area available for sale. Prices are better than online for most things. Beautiful little shop with lots & lots of fabrics. Cute/sweet prints, Plentiful solids, stripes, baby prints, and some fantastic extraordinary prints. Great batting sizes selection (looks like a quality product) & a nice assortment of notions & patterns. They also have classes & gatherings. Sales folk seemed friendly (tough day with lots of motorcycle people parked in front of store due to an event.) Check it out! read more

Great shop to step into for inspiration for quilting projects and garment construction. I learned about the shop from the Central Coast Shop Hop and made a second trip back on a recent trip south. Great wall of notions too! Stop in for a sandwich at The Homestead when you visit. Delish. read more

I always find something to buy here. There quilts they display always gets me to buy a pattern just have trouble finding the right material I'd like to make it with they had a lot of fat quarters but not as much in bundles that gave me ideas. Or in the layers cakes too not much to pick but I bet they just sold out luv it here read more

Great selection of fabrics however no one is interested in selling them to you. Was the only customer in the store and the clerk at the cutting table / register stayed on the phone for ever with out even acknowledging that I was standing in front of her for a very long period of time with a bolt of fabric. Then when I suggested to my friend lets put it back and lets leave. She stated " oh did you need something? " NO thanks phone or not she could say I will be right with you, or how about saying to the person on the phone, can you hold on one minute I have a customer? Never will go back again. read more

This is one of my very favorite quilt stores. The staff is friendly and helpful, service is great and whoever does their purchasing has great taste - I usually want to buy (at least) one of everything. Their many sample quilts are always inspiring; I often come away with a book or pattern . . .and fabric . . .and thread . . I didn't know I *needed*. This past weekend, I placed an online order at 4 pm on Friday - on a holiday weekend - and had the item in my hands almost exactly 24 hours later!
