When you first walk in, it feels very inviting, but it was empty considering that it was very cold that day around 7-8PM on a Sunday. If you're in the area, I would recommend the chicken We all got the 3 tender chicken meal mild, Medium, and Hot. We believed that medium wasn't spicy like it stated and the hot was a good level, but it was still good. The price was very reasonable. The skin on the chicken was very crispy, but after eating the full meal it does feel greasy. The sides were also very good. All of the food tasted very homemade. I've driven by this restaurant numerous times as I've traveled through Baytown. My friend and I finally decided to give it a try. The meal deal comes with two sides. More on that in a minute. First, choose the spice level you want for your hot chicken. There are multiple choices. I'll say this about that; choose wisely! I like hot chicken but dang, I found this hot chicken to be spicy. It doesn't hit you all at once either. A few bites in, I suddenly started experiencing the full effect!! It got hot on the ol' taste buds. To be fully transparent, I also was dipping my strips into their spicy mayo sauce, so I think it was a combo of the two. Pretty good flavor on both but whew!!! I needed a drink refill. I was also eye-balling the desserts because they have banana pudding on the menu and it looked really good. I really wanted to try it!! I'll come back to that too. Let's go back to the sides. My meal came with two sides. The choices are fries, southern green beans, red skin potato salad, white queso mac and cheese, sweet heat baked beans, and elote. I ordered the potato salad which was excellent. However, they allowed me to sub one of my sides for a smaller portion of banana pudding. Went at 12:30pm on a Thursday and the place was completely empty which was surprising but made for very quick service. I got 2 mild tenders with fries and mac & cheese. I wasn't looking for anything spicy today but wanted flavor and the mild was perfect. I also tried the spicy mayo dipping sauce and the buttermilk ranch. Both were great. The fries were a little overcooked and hard so I didn't eat those. The Mac & cheese is truly mac in a green chile white queso like described. It had great flavor but I'd prefer a thicker sauce. Finally got the diet and worms for dessert and as someone who makes it's at home this recipe wasn't great. It was fine but could have been better. Overall good experience. U can't complain about Becky's Hot Chicken. I will say that the strips are a better value for the money compared to the sandwiches. 2 strips with 2 sides is $10, while 3 strips with 2 sides are $12. The sandwiches are $12 and only come with 1 side. I believe the sandwiches only have 2 strips on them. I just wasn't a fan on the stuff on the sandwiches, and it took away from the flavor of the tasty chicken strips. This restaurant gets 5 stars from me due to it being well rounded. The chicken is probably the best in the area, the sides were great, decent price, and excellent service. They offer several different spice levels for the chicken. I would recommend medium. Make sure to get everything on the sandwich because that sauce and slaw was delicious. The Mac and cheese even has a great flavor with some underlying jalapeños. First time dining with Beaky's. It's in a strip shopping center. Parking is very tight here. Ordering is done at the counter. I opted for the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich medium heat. It came with one side and decided on the elote. The good thing about everything ordered is that it is cooked to order so you know everything is coming out fresh hot or cold. It took around 15 mins for all of the food to come out. The sandwich was delicious as I will always order this every time going forward. They have some other additional items but they have the classics. The chicken is actually pretty hot, and I usually order the mild. That is enough heat for me. Oh my WORD! Where do I even begin? THIS is how you bring a new restaurant to Baytown! From the location, to the interior, to the staff, to the food ... all of it was top notch! I'll start with the location! It sits at one of the busiest intersections in Baytown, which will definitely help! The parking lot in the shopping center is typically busy, but it didn't seem to be a problem this evening! Just be patient if you are looking for a spot! It will be worth it! The restaurant itself is so nice, clean, and cute on the inside! It is a counter service restaurant, so you walk in one door, stand in line (if there is one) and order at the counter. The girl who helped me order was cute as a button and helped me through the ordering process without being prompted ... which I LOVED .. she knew this was my first time and she wanted to make sure I got my order exactly the way I wanted it before we moved on to the next thing. Every single team member was so nice and helpful! Smiles on every face and a big willingness to help and make everyone's experience how they envision it should be! The simplicity of their menu is was I loved the most! It is not overwhelming, which makes it easy to make a great decision! The hardest part to me was gauging what level of spice I wanted on my sandwich. Everyone's pallet is different so even asking someone might prove to be misleading. We tried the mild and hot ... the best way I can help someone gauge it is comparing it to a chick fil a Spivey chicken sandwich spice level ... medium is not quite as spicy, hot is just a tad more spicy ... and that is about as good as it gets for a spicy-ness gauge. Every single sandwich is customizable... if you don't want something on the sandwich, have them take it off ... you want extra? have them put it on ... a different sauce? go for it! There are 3 sandwiches, and we got one of each! All 3 were insane, and my personal favorite was the Southern Love ... the pimento cheese was almost too good to be true. Whatever you do, don't remove the pickles! They help cut through the flavors of all the sandwiches ... and just work ... on all 3 ... I'm getting extra next time! Also want to mention we got our food to-go ... the food traveled well and was anything but soggy or cold when we got home. We got both deserts and if there is any I can tell you not to do, it would be DO NOT leave without getting the banana pudding!! We chose the white queso macaroni and cheese which was very good and had a surprise with Jalapeno pieces in it, which just enhanced the flavor. We also chose the fries and the potato salad. So good, so full. Stopped by on my lunch break today, and had a great experience. I ordered the 3 piece meal, hot, with mac n cheese and fries. I also got an extra side of coleslaw, honey mayo, and ranch AND banana pudding for dessert. The gentlemen helping me was very nice, and helpful, maybe the owner, definitely a manager if not it seemed. The chicken was definitely spicy, but with a bit of sweet at the same time. IT was interesting as I had never had Nashville style before, but it was damn good. A 3 piece meal was a fat meal for lunch, and I might go for the two piece instead next time. Additionally, while the fries are probably delicious in store, no surprise they did not traveler well. The mac n cheese was delicious, and coleslaw was a nice side to have. The manager guy also threw in some queso dip and spicy mayo for me to try out, and I gotta say, all of the sauces were excellent to dip into. Lastly, that bread pudding, so so good.
