I'm really digging this place. I've been here a few times now and there's a few things to point out. -First off, service is nice enough. No complaints there. -The restaurant itself is very clean and I definitely like the tables and chairs. -The food is pretty delicious. The chicken is usually juicy and the sauces options are good. The Mac and cheese with sauces chicken is awesome. I really enjoy the food here. -Lastly, I don't know if this is just a limited time offer, but every time I go in there, I get the Bird Pack which is definitely enough food to feed me, my wife and our two kids and it's only $40! Everywhere you go nowadays to feed a family of four, you're looking at spending a MINIMUM of $60. When compared to Beakys, I can't recommend one over the other because both are tasty but this bird pack keeps me coming back to urban bird many times. read more

It's really cool that a bunch of high-quality chicken spots are popping up around Houston. I was hesitant to check this place out because the price is kind of high. When I walked in, my first thought was that the place looked really cool. I ordered the 2 piece chicken tenders with a Belgium waffle. The food took about 10 minutes to make and was fresh. They gave different unique spice options for the tenders. The tenders were a good size and tasted similar to other high-quality tender spots. The waffle was surprisingly good! I don't think it's the best waffle ever, but I'd give the waffle 4/5 stars. I think overall, this place gets a 4 star from me because it seems a little pricey. I feel as if everything seems about 10-20 percent more expensive than it should be. I did see a picture stating that no GMOs or hormones are added to the food. I'm not sure of the validity of this statement since I thought almost all chicken has hormones added nowadays. However, if that statement is true, that could explain the high price. Overall, if you're a chicken lover, I recommend giving Urban Bird a try. read more

Wife ordered some food from here yesterday dine in and ordered to go. We ordered a few items with a sando and added an extra chicken tender. When she got home the extra tender was missing and the sauce on sando was incorrect. I called the restaurant to let them know and got answered by Karim I believe is how you spell her name... After I told her the issue she ask me to go back and show her the receipt which my wife didn't get any because when they asked if she wanted the receipt she said no. I told we couldn't go back because it was a lot if traffic to go back ... Her answer : Well I don't know what to tell you. Is this how food issues are handled now. I paid money for the food and the restaurant has no issue taking it. But when there is a mistake done I can't even get my food or my money back. This is how businesses start losing business. This place is phenomenal! Chicken is always fresh, as well as the fries! I ordered the half portion, which comes with chopped tenders, Mac n cheese, fries, and their bird sauce. Although I'm not a fan of their bird sauce (I found it kinda sweet), you do have the option to sub the sauce for something else. Great food prepared in a reasonable amount of time. Terrible front end service. I've been to other Urban Birds and they give you that down home country hospitality vibe, Super helpful and courteous. That is not this location. The two cashiers, one young and thin and the other older and heavier set were both more interested in their conversation and giggling than they were in being helpful. I'd suggest retraining them to be akin to Chik-fil-a rather than being that of a Walmart employee who hates there job. read more

Already off to a bad start. I walked into urban chicken where one young lady turned around and said I'll be with you in a minute and quickly turned around and never turned back! I waited at least another 5 minutes when finally another young lady came up and looked at me and did not bother to even ask me if I've been helped. I'm not sure why she thought I was standing there. Worse, two other customers came up and she actually asked them if she could help them. It was weird it was like I was not even visible to her. When I finally said, hey, do you not see me standing here? She giggled... yes giggled... and said here or to go. I responded y'all are already starting off bad and left! Of course, I called the manager who was super apologetic, but should have told me to turn around and he would help me personally with a sample of a free meal to reverse that experience! Or something!! that is what I would've done. You're barely open, and my front desk cashier person can't even take a decent order? This is what I think.... The problem with Baytown restaurants and why they close way too soon, is there is not enough emphasis on training especially customer service. You're too quick to open and you did not vet the right people for the right job. Both of those young lady should be somewhere in the back until they both learn customer service. Save your money and go to Beaky's in Baytown. My boyfriend and I ordered a mild sandwich combo with sweet potato fries, a mild tender combo with sweet potato fries, and Mac fries. The cashier had a low voice, very hard to hear. Once the order was ready, I had to ask for the cups for our drinks as she hadn't given them to us. We got home and saw they hadn't given me the sweet potato fries with my sandwich combo. Both of our meals were labeled "mild" but were obviously naked tenders. We spent $38 so it's disappointing that so many things were wrong/missing from our order. I get they just opened but this was a lot of mistakes. Luckily we had ordered the extra Mac fries or I would've still been hungry. Even though he received his sweet potato fries, we counted and there were 8 waffle fries total. That's it. I will say the flavor of the food was good, just wasn't what we ordered. I'll go to Beaky's next time. read more
