My toddler used to see Dr. Yoo at his last practice and so we followed him to Beam City Dental once they opened. If possible, the time and care devoted to their pediatric patients is even better than before. My daughter doesn't do well at the dentist (to say the least) but with all the staff's help and Dr. Yoo's excellent guidance we were able to get not only a cleaning but also an X-ray of her teeth which we have never been able to before. As the other reviews have stated, the office is super clean and beautifully decorated with a dedicated toy room for waiting children as well as video games for children (or adults who don't seem to know they're for the children ‍). We drive over an hour to come to Fort Lee for our dental needs and will happily continue to do so due to the excellent service we receive. read more

Our first experience: The receptionist staff greeted us with a friendly smile and were very attentive to my daughter. Not like a normal pediatric dentist's office, but they really went above and beyond. I felt like they treated her with a lot of genuine love and care - like they've known her for a long time. She got to hang out in the kid's waiting area, feeling instantly comfortable before she was taken into a room. The dental staff was super friendly, patient, and caring with my daughter who has had some trauma from dental visits in the past. She's tough to work with, but Dr. John Yoo was very patient, understanding, and tried different methods to calm her down. He's really great with kids and he didn't force anything - he made sure to explain to me what options there were for treatments and let me decide what we could do. Side note: The front desk receptionist was also very transparent about insurance costs and payments, and the communication was clear - which was also greatly appreciated. Dr. Yoo was amazing! We visited them with our two boys (2 yrs old and 4 yrs old) for their first check up! He was friendly and the staff were engaging. We originally went for our older one but ended up also having our little man complete his first visit because they were that awesome! Dr. Yoo backed up a lot of his suggestions with data and statistics so we felt a sense of security (I.e. brushing of fluoride). We will definitely continue to come back in the future. P.S. The place is quite new (I learned that they opened up 5 months ago) and their facility is bright and clean. Dr. Yoo and the staff including the dental hygienist and reception ladie were very warm and welcoming to my 21 month old daughter. She was especially happy to spend time in their cute little playroom that's stocked up with plenty of fun toys. I'm sure your little ones will love hanging out there too.
