My significant other really likes this place so I really WANT to like it as well but after three visits I'm just not impressed. I'm a vegetarian so perhaps that's a factor - there aren't a ton of vegetarian optins. The salads are very simple, iceburg/romaine lettuce, etc. I thought the pizza was excellent but they were out of multiple ingredients that were supposed to be on it per the menu that night. The atmosphere is very casual and the club across the street sometimes has loud metal concerts which obviously Beamer's has no control of but would have been nice to be warned about that before choosing to sit outside. It can get really loud and crowded for dinner time on the weekends. My SO says the burgers here are very good, though. read more

Fantastic restaurant! My husband and I had a date night here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We each got a burger, he had the Numero Uno and I had the Southern Belle... they were SO good. Great little spot in the downtown Roanoke. Found this place on a whim and can't be more happy with the choice. Bottom line come here for good vibes and good food. More detailed explanation below! Great location and there's free parking on the side of the building (make sure it's labeled a Beamer spot). When we entered we requested a booth seat but the hostess said she couldn't accommodate it. This was a little annoying but the manager immediately heard about this incident and personally came over and apologized and said we can sit where we want, A+ customer service right there. Our waiter was super nice and had great recs. Food here is great. We started with the wings and the lime jalapeño flavor was delicious! The ranch dressing is also phenomenal. I ordered the Philly--I didn't really like it that much so I would say stray away from ordering a Philly here. My SO ordered the burger the with peanut butter, she absolutely loved it. Best burger in Roanoke! it's true. Beamer 25's burger is just awesome. The restaurant claims the burgers use a proprietary blend of sirloin, chuck, short rib and brisket. I didn't bring my mass spectrometer to assure this. What I do know is this: when I order a medium rare it comes medium rare, red center and meaty. Lots of meat. Tasty meat. Try the Stevo Burger . This bubba is a large hamburger patty with a truly sunny side up egg, applewood bacon, red onions and cheddar cheese . Be ready for a messy but gorgeous sandwich. Wash that down with any of the wide selection of craft beers . Oh yes. Try the meatloaf too. I have to think this is the best meatloaf in the world . I'm told the salads are good. I'm a carnivore though and have t tried the salads. I really like Beamer 25's wide selection of bourbons. I have a 5k Roanoke bar crawl that includes a stop here for a Blantons or the like. They offer many other liquors on the menu but I can speak for them. I am just happy with bourbons and beers. Inside is a contemporary restaurant with tables and a decent sized bar. Outside there is a street side patio deck with gas heaters for the chilly days. I usually go for the bar or outside. All the people here are pleasant and the cooks are great. Tried to eat here on a dreary Saturday night. We were seated right away as there were several empty tables. We waited for our server, and waited, and waited. Then asked the host where our server was. He said something about a server had to go move her car before it got towed. So we waited a while longer. And waited, and waited. Then the bartender returned so we thought we'd order from her. She informed us that there was no draft beer and no servers. Weird thing to be told so we left. I love their burgers and really had a taste for one. It was disappointing and mind blowing. My experience at Beamer's 25 was not good. The food looks good but it's very bland and has no seasoning. The waiter was totally unprofessional and rude throughout my meal. I was in town for just one night and chose Beamer's 25 mainly because of the proximity to where I was staying. Everything was fantastic. The hostess was polite and friendly. They had lots of different beers on tap. Since I was by myself, it was nice to see that they offered a half order of their Vidalia Rings. I had those and the burger special, the Triple Cheese Stuffed Burger, which was messy and delicious. I finished off the night with an order of the Fried Oreos ala mode. Here is a Burger joint with class. I was greeted with a smile and shown to a table in seconds. The dining area is open and they don't cram tables in to maximize capacity. The uncomplicated menus is full of excellent and well executed choices I believe the price points were also very fair. I had the Savoy burger with caramelized onions cheddar and bread/butter pickles. Prepared exactly as ordered it was warm juicy and delicious to the last bite. The half order of humongous onion rings was crazy good fairly priced and with burger priority I could only eat 1 ring, Bring a friend of you want to knock off an order! Which would make sense that the cost of seafood is a little high BUT ten tater tots isn't worth $4 extra. My sigle meal with a sandwich and tater tots was $20. Went to have dinner on a Friday night, the place was packed, however I got seated pretty quickly. It took a few minutes for the server to get to my table but that's understandable. I tried the Golden Monkey belgium style beer & with 9.5 ABV I only needed one glass to start feeling the effects. For dinner I ordered the BLTC with onion rings. The sandwich was pretty good, its bacon you can't really mess that up, the onion rings were HUGE but I wasn't a fan, too much breading and thick pieces of onion, it's probably best eating hot. The absolute worst service I have ever experienced!! We are from out of town and stopped to get dinner. It didn't take long for our server to ask for our drinks but it took over twenty minutes to get our drinks ( water, lemonade,sweet tea, and beer). We put our food order in when we ordered our drinks. After forty- five minutes and our server never even checking on us, I asked another server about our food. Our server never came over so I got the manager and asked her. She said she would check on our order-she didn't come back so after ten minutes, I told her that we wanted to pay for our drinks-. She said our food was being plated but another 7-10 minutes passed and then we asked another server to just give us our tab. Our service was really quick as we made it just before lunch rush on a Friday. I ended up ordering the Southwest Burger - Chipotle aioli, lettuce, grilled red onions and sweet peppers, pickled jalapeños and pepper jack cheese. I also added an egg on top of the burger to enhance the taste. My side were tater tots. I was not disappointed at all with the food. The burger had my back tingling from all of the spiciness that hit me all at once, and I didn't mind that one bit. And the egg just made everything better, as I mentioned earlier. We were seated promptly and the atmosphere was really nice, trendy and warm. The menu was varied and everything sounded good. The alcohol menu was extensive and interesting. We got to enjoy all of this because it then took 30 minutes to take our order. I had to get up and actually ask a server to come take our order. To then be explained that he "didn't see us." There was approximately 10 tables on the main floor, it's not a huge dining hall. My salad was good, the chicken was tossed in, but not very flavorful or plentiful. The dressing was a bit tart even for a balsamic vinaigrette. It was filling, but not sensational. My husband's burger and tots were good, but again, not sensational. It was overcooked for his specifications. The tots were crispy. We left with the feeling that while the place is popular, it's a bit oversold. Best burger place in town! Let's face it. There's not a burger place in town... and even if there was Beamer's 25 would beat it, HANDS DOWN. This place blows my mind every time I walk in there. The food is more than exceptional... if there was stronger word than "gourmet" I'd use it. They have outdoor seating during the nice months and even when it's chilly, they have heat lamps and a FIRE PLACE on the patio! Can't beat that! The restaurant is GORGEOUS on the inside, family friendly, beautiful and attentive waitstaff, the managers on staff personally check EVERY table every day/night to make sure everything tastes good and has been prepared to your liking.
