Bean Rush Cafe has two other locations - one in Annapolis and another one inside the BWMC. Their menu is quite extensive, offering various breakfast options, coffee, espresso, frappes, lattes, mochas, smoothies, and loose leaf teas, as well as sandwiches, salads, pastries, and seasonal items. You can purchase the cafe's whole beans, too. I ordered a Funky Monkey to go, which can be prepared hot or cold; I opted it for extra hot. Made with chocolate and banana, the coffee was strong, and the combination of the syrups made it super tasty. Staff were pretty friendly and welcoming, and there are a handful of tables inside to dine-in. The place does get super busy, so there is somewhat of a line. You can also locate some specialty items to purchase, such as drink powders, fudge, and gift boxes. Hadn't been here in years and loved it growing up with my parents as a neighborhood coffee shop so decided to grab a macchiato and a sandwich. Sandwich was delicious but the macchiato was just espresso which was very disappointing and since it was ordered to go I didn't check until I was well on my way.

I popped in, unsure of what to expect, and was SO pleasantly surprised! I got a Honeybee Latte and a breakfast sandwich (with Gluten Free Bread). They asked to check how Gluten sensitive I am to be sure they didn't cross contaminate me, which I greatly appreciated (I'm just sensitive, but still very nice of them). I did work while there and wound up ordering lunch (Chicken BLT and a GF buckeye brownie) So many GF goodies for those who eat GF (along with of course typical glutinous items), and amazing goodies! I am so glad I stumbled upon this gem. Such sweet staff, who walked me through how-to order and such, once they learned I'd never been. Such a sweet little spot. Reminds me of the Bean Hollow in old EC pre- floods I will absolutely be back!

Cute little place with good food and drinks! On a Thursday around lunch, they were very busy, but the line moves along well. My son had a yummy mango smoothie and a delicious Turkey club panini. He had it without the chipotle Mayo and really liked it. I had the soup and sandwich combo with the cranberry almond chicken salad sandwich and carrot and ginger soup. The portions were small (cup of soup and half sandwich) , which was perfect for me. The soup had more ginger spice than I like, but it was very good. I liked the pieces of carrots mixed in. The sandwich was also very good with the perfect combo of ingredients. My chai latte was delicious and not overly sweet. I liked the foam on top. I definitely would return here when I'm in the area.

saw the great yelp reviews and my wife and i stopped by today. best coffee i have had east of nashville, tn (go to Roast Inc in Nashville if you love coffee). my wife got some kind of latte that was really delicious (i don't usually drink latte, etc). not too sweet, not syrupy, with the coffee flavor really showing through, excellent. i had a new guinea peaberry. really nice, not too strong but again, flavors came through. the employees were just super friendly, always makes me a fan. this is THE coffee place to go in the area. our new favorite., oh yeah, great prices UPDATE: still great! just had to say that this place can make a consistent coffee. my wife gets the same thing every time and it always tastes the same, kind of rare to find. just really good, another 5 stars read more

This cafe is perfectly located for the large group of us who live between Baltimore and Annapolis and were stuck with Wawa or Royal Farms coffee as our only local options. They always have a milder, bolder and decaf selection of coffee, of which I've never tried one I didn't like. They have great salads and sandwiches (both breakfast and lunch) with several yummy baked goods to choose from. The owners are wonderful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the staff have always been friendly. I only wish there was more room for some comfy chairs and couches. Nothing I love more than a fall/winter afternoon in a cafe with a book and the current wooden chairs aren't the best for extended periods of time. If you haven't been to this place yet, GO! You won't be disappointed : ) read more

I think this place first deserves the five stars because of the location. What a welcome addition to the Crownsville area. If I'm craving a little latte action when I'm sitting at home, now it's just a quick drive down the street as opposed to the usual 10-15 to Annapolis I had to do before. But beyond that, everything I've had here has been absolutely delish. I love all the muffin and baked good varieties and of course the amazing selection of hot and cold beverages that will suit any craving you may have that day. Great job Bean Rush! read more

I've frequented this establishment for years now. The owners have a passion for what they do and it shows in their service and products. Non-coffee items include homemade baked goods and all of their employees are friendly and greet you with a smile. Is everything absolutely perfect at each visit? No... but to expect constant perfection is being out of touch with reality. When it comes to coffee, unique drinks and pastries, a quick bite, or just to meet friends, Bean Rush is the best place in the area. I love that they're here and I plan on visiting them regularly. I live in Crofton but this coffee shop is way worth the 5 minute extra drive! If you truly like coffee then this is where you belong. The atmosphere and food assortments are top notch as well. My wife and I both love it. The location is out of the way of the main stream, but this is the best coffee we have found in the Baltimore and DC areas. If you are wondering whether to try it, I can't make it more clear. Try it! read more

Bean Rush Cafe is a part of my Sunday routine at the barn. I make sure all the horses are fed then come get a latte and usually a chocolate croissant. Very intimate, cozy, and inviting place. The service is great and everyone is so friendly. Mark always asks me about the horses. They are the invests and want to get to know the people that come in. They have Belgian waffles on the weekends that I am itching to try. I love this place! They also have punch cards so you get a free drink after so many. I am working on my second one. I wish this places closer to my home, I'd probably be there every morning. read more

A great place for coffee and conversation. The Severna Park Peloton rolled in on a Saturday morning to recharge our batteries with coffee and carbs. Service was quick. Seating for all six of us was available. We tried an assortment of muffins, bagels, and egg sandwiches which were all good. Of course, I had a Caffè macchiato which was excellent as always. The staff was great and even took our picture. Our Saturday travels take us to Annapolis, Baltimore, Ellicott City, Crofton, and North Beach in search for the perfect coffee shop. How do you rate your FAVORITE coffee spot in a 50 mile radius?! Welp I'd give Bean Rush Cafe 10 stars if I could. Their staff is so friendly and warm. The latte is perfectly poured with just the right amount of froth and the spinach & feta croissants are worth every penny. I met the owner who is just a very pleasant man to be acquainted with. I've been working at a coffee shop for almost a year and through just tasting all the shops locally this place takes the cake on delicious drinks and a homie vibe that makes you feel immediately welcome. Coffee and sandwiches are great. Try the Lox bagel with cream cheese for breakfast and the chicken salad sandwich for lunch. And a honey bee latte is always a special treat. The pour through coffee is amazing. Maybe they can hire some extra help, now that they have extra crowds due to the WaWa closure. BUT the employees they do have are super. Love the chai latte cold or hot. I get it with almond milk which makes it even better. Prices are like Starbucks. Parking is hard to find park on a side street and walk and enjoy the sites. Staff is super friendly and they want to make sure you are satisfied. I work in Annapolis and this place is 5 minutes driving. You will not be disappointed read more

I am so excited to have a real coffee shop in the Annapolis/ Crownsville area! Although I have only visited once, I cannot wait to return! The staff seems very knowledagble and they actual cold brew their iced coffee! Another words they serve delicious real iced coffee as apposed to many other locations that simply pour hot coffee over ice (gross!) I have yet to try their food offerings, but their menu featured many options with fresh local produce! If you live/ work in ghe area please stop by and give this place a try! Take a little time out and check out this wonderful spot on Generals Hwy. Owners Mark and Shannon have given Crownsville a treat. And treats are what you will get when you walk through the door. From wonderful espresso drinks both hot and cold. (In this heat you might not be able to handle it, but as soon as you can, order a hot latte to enjoy in the shop and you will be dazzled by beautiful latte art), to brew coffees and smoothies to. More treats...a wonderful menu of breakfast sandwiches, muffins and pastries and delicious sandwiches and paninis. And another treat, one that is often missing these days, being treated wonderfully. Can't really say anything more than what everyone else has said. Their service is phenomenal, the staff is friendly, and warm, and their drink, especially the "Carmalicious", "Honey Bee", and "Milky Way", are HUNDREDS TIME'S BETTER than Starbucks, and cheaper. They also make all of the pastries in store, made from their homemade dough, and batter, and served fresh out of the oven. It is very cozy, with a brick wall, comfy couches, and desks to do homework in. It also sits right next to a fantastic hairdresser, Illuminate Saloon, also great in its own way, and is just down the road from a popular private school, Rockbridge Academy. It is also just a 5 minute drive away from the mall. Just fantastic in every aspect. read more

Beans Rush Cafe is one of my favorite places. I love getting their large Belgium waffles on Saturday mornings (they are offered on weekend mornings), so delicious! They have a huge variety of coffees, teas and smoothies. My favorite drinks are the almond joy latte with soy and the mango smoothie. I also enjoy the sandwiches and delicacies from the bakery, especially the chocolate-chip banana bread. In the fall, they offer soups and in the summer they offer flavored ice. The atmosphere is clean and friendly, and service is quick. They also have Wi-Fi, and there is plenty of parking. A great place to meet with friends. read more

If you're like me and try hard to avoid burnt tasting, corporate coffee, then you owe it to yourself to try this place. Their teas and even their breakfast sandwiches are good too, so you should still check them out even if you don't like coffee. If I wasn't always in such a hurry, I would probably hang out here because it seems like it would be a good place to get caught up with all my emails and other online tasks. read more

Beyond the exceptional coffee, there are numerous other reasons why this place is excellent. Friendly personnel and plenty of seats make the setting ideal for remote employees wishing to socialize during the day. Moreover, the plain interior design! I adore working at the bar top in particular. Great spot to get coffee and spend some time! read more

By far my favorite coffee shop in the area! Baristas are always so friendly and the coffee is consistently delicious. The quirky vibe is welcoming and unique compared to a lot of the other "modern" coffee shops around. Love supporting a local, small business and there are multiple locations. I love this place! GREAT choices of coffee from all over the world. A large menu of prepared salads, sandwiches, and soups. My favorite is the Cafe Mocha Frappe' with sausage, egg, and provolone on whole wheat toast. Strong WIFI too! Not over priced like the others coffee shops. 5 STARS! ***** read more

Love Bean Rush and frequent both locations frequently. Both the food,coffee and service is excellent. I've been waiting to a good coffee shop in the area and have been satisfied by the experience I have every time I go to Bean Rush. Great place to study or go for breakfast/lunch! read more

Had a very tasty iced chai at this cute little coffee counter. The barista the day I was there was very nice. They have an interesting selection of pastries and sandwiches that look amazing, I'll have to go back and try one! read more
