Not the friendliest staff but their bagels are so damn good that it makes up for it. Always busy on weekend mornings!!!

I heard about Beans And bagels from a co worker And totally got hooked on their sandwhichs. One day I got The wrong sandwhich but didnt notice until I sat down at my desk. I wasnt able to get back out for lunch but an hr later. Then The very next week my order was incorrect again!!! So I called and a disgrunted worker (who I later found out was The son of The owner) answered The phone and told him What happened. He could of cared less!!! I asked him if they could deliver a New correct sandwhich or meet me have way so I dont miss work. He said they were short staffed! So I asked for my money back. When I got there another employee apolized And asid next time we will deliver iT And I told him I asked And The person I spoke to said they were short staffed! That was a lie. So everytime I walk over there to get my lunch I open The bag And make sure its right.. The different cashiers always ask whats wrong And I just say I just want to ck iT. Well today I had The ownerz son ring me up....holy crap!!! He threw my brown bag on The counter And I proceeded to ck my order...holy crap he flipped out!!! He started to breath heavy...I said is there a problem? He said you need to stopp being so parinord about your sandwhich lady. I said excuse me? He said you heard me stop being so parniod about yr sandwhich lady. Then he said you try doing my job. I said why dont u try doing my job? He said dont start with my lady...waving his finger at me. Then I said let me talk to you dad...he said well hes on vacation so you get to deal with me!!! I said What is your problem? He said I told you...you need to stop be whating pariniod about you sandwhich. Afterward two people in The line asked me whatwas his prob....idk. I like this place. Quaint and nice seating areas for a coffee shop. Wish I lived close enough to go more often. Smells great. Coffee is good. Sandwiches are over stuffed and very tasty. Worth the $$. It's a cool little hang out . Service is great. Atmosphere is cool. Location is close by the winery. Great to stop in after a wine tasting and grab a cup of Joe! read more

My boyfriend and I come here whenever we can't decide where to get breakfast. Never had a drink or a meal disappoint; quick and cute shop with a mixture of Pittsburgh decor and modern photography. Their Orleans drink is amazing and all of their sandwiches are delicious. The staff is awesome and the prices are good; cute seating both indoors/outdoors (booths & tables). There is also convenient parking right across the street and it's at a great location. read more

Really like this place. They have a good variety of bagels to choose from, and the two I have had have been very good. Bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel is my favorite. Wife has really enjoyed her breakfast platters. Home fries are great too. Staff is friendly and If you are from Pittsburgh, you will love all the decor. It was good. Very good, however, while it wasn't pricey, it also wasn't cheap. I'd say average prices for downtown Frederick, but far enough above average nonetheless. If you eat outside, you'll be pelted hard with acorns falling from a very old, tall tree in need of pruning. I would never park my car on that particular part of the street. I watched cars being actively dented by the falling acorns. The service was pretty good and pretty prompt. We decided we'll go back, but we'll just sit inside and park on a different part of the street. read more

Great coffee, great owner, great service and a great sausage,egg and cheese on bagel - don't tell my wife its my guilty pleasure.

The outside is inviting. Fits right in with the historic part of the city. The inside is simple and the menu is written on a white board with marker. I liked that it seems to be more a place for locals than tourists like me passing through. The lady in front of me knew the cashier and in front of the register was a sign-up sheet for fantasy football drafts. Outside where I sat the lady giving parking tickets made sure the car didn't belong to anyone from Bagel and Beans before issuing a ticket. Stopped in here for breakfast. In the heart of downtown Frederick. Small, quaint place. Was here around 930 and it was pretty crowded, not many seats in the front, but there is additional seating located in the back. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel. Compared to some other places around the globe where I have had similar sandwiches this one was average. Bagel was good, not great. Sausage was pre cooked or probably frozen. I prefer sausage that seems more fresh. Not sure how the eggs were cooked. Sufficient breakfast sandwich, good place but I will probably try somewhere different tomorrow or come back here and get a different item. The bagels are delicious! The atmosphere is great, a cozy neighborhood bagel shop where the morning sun kisses the street and residents sit casually eating breakfast sandwiches and sipping coffee. The service, well, it's what brought my rating from a 5, to a 3. I went in on a Friday morning around 10 am. I needed a few dozen bagels for Memorial Day weekend. They were almost out of everything. I was wondering why he seemed surprised that on a holiday weekend I'd need so many. The owner seemed fairly annoyed that I didn't think to call ahead to order them, and suggested I do so next time. Hmm. Went to this place because Market St. Bagel was closed. While the interior is charming in a random sort of way, I was definitely not that impressed by the bagels. The cream cheese tasted like it was weeks old. Market St.'s bagels are soo much better. Maybe I caught the place on an off day, but probably won't be back. read more

I learned of this place from a friend, and since I was in the area decided to try it. The food was pretty good. I give it one star because of the customer service. The cashier...( which I learned later was the owners son) was not very friendly. I could tell he didn't like his job by the way he was treating the food and customers. If I could give this establishment zero stars I would. I recently received a resturant.com gift certificate for this establishment. I went there to purchase bagels and the man would not honor it. He stated that the certificate was for in-store only even though it was not stated on the certificate and proceeded to show me one he had that had the statement on it. Even though mine did not have the statement he would not honor it. I made a second attempt and went to eat there with my family. on a Sunday morning.When I got to the counter there were three bagels. I'm not sure why this place doesn't have 5 stars! The bagels are made fresh every morning and are AMAZING, and while the sandwiches aren't super cheap, it's downtown Frederick and this is probably the least expensive place to get actually good food. It's tiny and gets kind of crammed during the rush times, but that's because the food is sooo good and worth waiting a few minutes in line. The employees are super friendly as well. read more

Great food, bagels, and coffee for a good price. Had breakfast platter and got a naval and coffee. My husband got a sandwich. Under $20. The eggs and hash browns were okay but nothing spectacular. I visited this cozy bagel shop around 8am on Thurs., Feb 9. I was in town for a meeting and was lil apprehensive when I saw how small it was and how friendly the staff and customers were with each other. I thought "oh no. it's local hangout. Awkward." I thought I'd have to sit in the back by myself and away from the window. I was so wrong not only did the staff include me in the morning chitchat and make me feel welcome but the customers did as well! I ordered a vegetable omelet, blueberry bagel (sliced, toasted, w/butter) and hot tea. Since the front dining are near the window was so close to the counter I was pleasantly surprised that both my tea and food were delivered to me at my table. The food was yummy. On my way home I ordered a gyro (the lunch special) to go it was yummy as well. Not too much spread on the sandwich and more meat than I was expecting. Great place! read more

food is decent/good. people that work there are nice for the most part. and the location is pretty nice downtown. prices are very expensive. i got a bagel sandwich and a bowl of soup and it was like $16 or $18. i was shocked. i understand that independent shops have a harder time and downtown isnt cheap ... but that's outrageous. i havent gone back. read more

This is without a doubt the best place to eat breakfast in Frederick. As a Frederick County native and someone who has been to many a breakfast joint in this wing of Maryland, I seriously can't wrap my head around these negative reviews. The food is hot, fresh, fast & delicious. The staff are friendly and clean. The owner, Rich, is a man of integrity and always greets you with a smile (and knows almost every customer's name, given the chance). This is the place I always recommend to my friends. Went to breakfast and not worth the wait. Took 45 minutes to get served. Tables that came in after us were served before us. Daughter went up to ask how much longer and was told was being plated--10 minutes later still no food. cramped dining--not worth it read more

I eat here every day and LOVE IT! You can sit outside on a nice day. Patrick Street is so much nicer than Market Street. I'd give 5 stars but he's a Steelers fan. read more
