While waiting I took a look at the coffee bean selection...WOW! Staff are very friendly, the aromas are amazing and it truly is a GREAT place to grab and go OR stop and stay awhile! Great chill vibe! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. After running an errand I stopped in again to get some ground and bean coffee for gifts. The coffee selection is Huge! My family has stopped in here for breakfast or lunch when on the go multiple times. I'm sad to say that I wouldn't recommend them. We're all vegetarian and they do have some options but from our experience the sandwiches are so dry. Even the grilled cheese was dry and not very flavorful - seemed like dry bread and some cheese - no oil or butter or anything. Also, they don't keep ingredients in stock for some items - tried to order the veggie panini twice on different occasions only to be told they didn't have the veggies to make it. My first time here, and walking in, the aroma just greets your nose and taste buds! I was super excited to try another local coffee shop. Plenty of parking and when you walk in they have plenty of seating as well. Love their set up and gave cozy vibes. They had so many drink and food options, as well as offered some tastings of their brewed coffee. They have a ton of items up for sale as well, including their coffee beans to take home and syrups. I ordered a sesame seed bagel with cream cheese to keep it simple. My sister grabbed some apple fritters, which were really yummy! I was torn with which drink to pick, but Craig, who was amazing suggested I go with the dirty pumpkin Chai. I was hesitant, but decided to go for it. It was a great decision! It tasted so good and nothing like these big company coffee shop PSLs, which I dislike. My family members got iced options and enjoyed them, in addition to sandwiches, which they said were filling and delicious. Craig was such an amazing and helpful person. For a place that has tea in the title their matcha is astonishingly bad. The worker said it was slightly sweetened but it was disgusting, basically really sweet milk, no matcha flavor at all. Couldn't finish it. You can see in the picture it's basically just white, i actually thought they gave me the wrong drink at first. (How hard is it to use actual matcha? If you're just going to have this offensively bad concoction just take matcha off the menu imo) Hopefully i can save someone else from having to experience this and wasting their money I can't drink coffee so I can't judge that but their sandwiches were really good. Stopped in here twice this weekend. Once on Friday evening and once on Sunday morning- two different vibes but consistently good coffee. Have not been disappointed with the coffee of the day! Friday evening- first time here. Only one person working and although she seemed a little annoyed we were ordering at 5pm (it was empty, she was cleaning the panini machine and they were set to close at 6pm). We walked around while she made my husband's mocha (I have to say, probably the best mocha I've ever had- it was dark chocolate raspberry), and I went with the coffee of the day which is self serve- a rainforest coffee that tasted of coconut (which I love). They have about 4 caffeinated coffee of the days to try and choose from, and 2 decafs with mini white cups to try before you put it in your cup. Sunday morning- according to the lovely team working, this is their busiest day. We waited in line and ordered: coffee of the day (surprised myself, I got one that was labeled OMG chocolate salted caramel, not usually my flavor profile but loved it), Starry Night latte, a cranberry muffin, and an egg, sausage and tomato bagel sandwich. No disappointments here, we'll be back to sit inside and order some beans to go! If you're unsure what to order coffee wise, highly recommend the coffee of the day. The espresso is not good. It's really bitter with an acidic aftertaste. I'd never had coffee that was terrible in this specific way prior, so my first thought was that the skim milk my latte was made with had gone bad. I asked if someone could double check the expiration date. The milk had two more days until the marked date but they offered to remake it anyway even though they were very busy. However, I felt awkward accepting and insisted it was probably a me problem. I tossed it on my way out. I just visited again and the latte was the same. I tried my girlfriend's latte made with almond milk and it had the same taste. So I'm really glad I didn't have an already very busy employee remake my drink that first time!!! They do have a yummy blueberry donut even if the coffee is a problem. read more

I had been here twice. Once on Saturday, 2/3/18 and more recently on Tuesday, 3/12/19. My girlfriend at the time in Feb. 2018 had strongly recommended this place. She had been to the one in Annapolis, but we tried the Frederick location since we were going to the Fire & Ice Festival that night. They were friendly & the tea was delicious. The more recent visit on 3/12 was work travel. I was coming back through Frederick from Loudoun County. I had a little time to kill before a movie. I was hungry and went to IHOP nearby since it was Pancake Day, where pancakes were free. It was a nice day and realized the Baltimore Coffee & Tea was 0.2 miles away; so I walked over to the next shopping center. I asked about the various coffees (since I got the tea in 2018). I ultimately went with one of their drip coffees from the machine. They had 4 varieties. I sampled a couple and went with a middle of the road coffee. The cashier was very friendly. She was like you were here with that girl, who asked a couple of more questions than you, on 2/3/18...j/k...she didn't remember me nor do I remember if she was there that day. The coffee was excellent. Baltimore Coffee & Tea is the real deal. They are both friendly and of the top notch quality. I highly recommend them. If I'm in the Frederick area again, I will need to come back. read more

There are not enough positive adjectives I can use to describe my love for Baltimore Coffee & Tea. I have been going here for iced coffee, bagels, sandwiches and great conversation since it opened. Recently I have dropped dairy and gluten from my diet and to my surprise the Three Bean Chili they had today was both dairy and gluten free but absolutely not lacking in heat and flavor! I also had an iced Sticky Cinnamon Bun coffee with oat milk, and per usual, it was perfection. Very friendly service and good egg&cheeses on bagels, but the drinks are subpar. My iced latte was very bitter. I couldn't tell if the coffee was overdone or the beans burnt, but I don't drink sugar with coffee and I had to add 2 packets of sugar to make this drinkable. Even then I drank maybe 1/3 of it and tossed the rest. Hate wasting but this drink was no good. My husband got a smoothie, and it was excruciatingly sweet. I don't know if they add loads of sugar to it, but it was worse than a Jamba Juice smoothie. For breakfast sandwiches, this is fine, but I think there are likely better coffee places around. read more

This coffee shop has a fantastic selection of coffees and teas. Plus, they have a good selection of foods, too. The inside has plenty of seating--if you want to do some work at a table or meet with clients. They are always well staffed, and the staff is friendly. They are conveniently located near Westview shopping center, too. I do like this place. They have a vast selection of coffees and teas. They also have a small cafe area where you can order food. While the muffins and breakfast sandwiches are great, I'm not sure if they make them there. This is also based on the fact that their eggs for sandwiches ware microwaved. They do have a small outdoor area with bistro tables to enjoy the nice weather. The parking lot there is relatively quiet so it's not a huge problem that you're sitting along the sidewalk. I love that you are attended to immediately. Even if you're browsing someone will ask if you need assistance. I love that at least one member of staff will talk geek without about the coffees on sale. Even though the descriptions on the many types of coffee give you more than enough information. I also love that they will custom grind. Not just grind for your preferred method of making coffee, but they will do their best to make it the best for your individual machine. They were unsure what would be best for me, but they took time to research instead of guessing. I also love the free coffee of any size when you buy a pound of coffee. And it's actually good coffee they give you. Not some bitter tasting crap. Though it is a chain, it's a good chain. You feel as welcomed as you would in a individual owned shop. A great variety of coffee. Such an huge amount of teas. I like chai tea, so I got the Tiger chai they make in house. Nicely spiced, which is what I look for in a chai. Also ordered lox bagel. The bagel was great; with fresh bagel and smoked salmon and capers. The whole bagel was balanced, with all the ingredients harmonized. Great whole bean coffee selections from the great coffee growing regions in the world. We stayed at a hotel nearby and knew we wanted to skip the standard Hotel breakfast, but also didn't want to take time for a full restaurant breakfast. This was perfect! Great egg sandwich, yogurt parfait and coffee. We also picked up a couple packages of coffee to go from the whole bean selections and had them go ahead and grind it for us. Who else hates those days where you sleep a little too late, wake up a little too early, and get a little too tired early in the day? Yeah. That happened today and it sucks. Especially when you have a platter of tasks that you have to muscle down before the end of day. I decide to look up a coffee shop close to the new office and I end up taking the additional 5 minutes to drive to Baltimore Coffee and Tea Company. It was well worth the trip. The atmosphere is great, not crowded at ALL. You can have your personal space and be able to breath while doing your coffee shop thing. The employees were extremely courteous, which is pleasantly surprising when they've probably already been through hell and back from the morning/lunch rush. Great local coffee stop. I went over and had a pumpkin spiced latte and sat on the patio while I got some work done. The inside was a bit stuffy but it was really cool to see all of the different coffees beans for purchase. I didn't eat but the food selection appeared to be good.
