Luckily I was able to get a bagel for the kids to munch on. The peanut butter scone was quite dry and I felt too expensive for what it was. What I really loved was the area in the back which seemed to go on forever. The spacious room in the rear feels reminiscent of an uncle's garage filled with comfy couches and game boards. It's a wonderful "third space" and area for the community to really gather. I would love to see more shops going this route all over the place! Very friendly staff!

The grits and biscuits were delicious. The biscuits were golden brown, soft on the inside, and perfectly paired with the sausage gravy. The grits were also very well made, and perfect in the bowl! Three complaints: (1) parking was limited but definitely of size for the seats available in the restaurant; (2) the coffee was WAY too strong, bitter, and lacking normal coffee notes; and (3) they added a restaurant fee on the ticket. Today, I got a fluffy Bavarian Cream donut, and loaded Avacado toast, my hubby got a smash burger with perfect tots! (They were perfectly crisp and salty. Perfect!) The donut, Ill be honest I was expecting dry and very little filling, ala Dunkin, but No! Thos was a deliciius, tender dough, and LOTS of filling! It was a decadent experience. My loaded avocado toast, and it was not at all what I expected, it was better! Instead of just mashed avocado, it was a thick piece of multi grain bread, spread with cream cheese, salad mix, and sliced avocado, with 2 eggs any style. I asked for scrambled, dry and they were perfect. Honestly its several hours later and I'm still thinking about that donut.
