Found this place by accident and the food was great as well as the tea infused smoothies! We will return.

I went to have lunch with some girlfriends and my take is that they are probably still working out the kinks. I thought the prices were all over the place-some too high (charcuterie for 1 is $27) and some are too low (Diet Coke is $1.50). I ordered a charcuterie cup and perfect pasta salad-both were okay. My friends ordered sandwiches and pasta salad along with scones. They were all disappointed with the scones (which were not on the menu, they had to ask if they could order them ala carte). Not that they had to be homemade but they were definitely not fresh. Don't know if I'd try it again. Wish I could have left a more positive review. read more

What a cute place. We'd intended to get coffee next door, but they were closed. We opted to go to the Tea House instead. We were not disappointed. The shop is hopelessly sweet and cute. They carry a variety of teas and decorative accessories among other things. While there, i had Jasmine pearl tea ( my favorite!) and i had their idea of Spanokipita l, which, lets be honest, it was delicious, light and tasty. The seevice was efficient and friendly. After a morning swim with manatees (and conquering some deep water nerves), I was craving something cozy, comforting, and close by -- and Tea House 650 Café delivered on all fronts. Just a short walk from where I was parked, this charming café is tucked inside what looks like a converted house, instantly giving me small-town New Jersey vibes in the best way. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and so were the staff -- everyone I interacted with was kind, friendly. There's a relaxed "seat yourself" vibe, plus shelves of loose leaf teas and tea accessories if you want to bring the experience home. I ordered the avocado toast, an iced pumpkin chai latte, and a pineapple, coconut & white chocolate scone, then grabbed a seat on the back porch to enjoy the sunshine. The avocado toast was creamy and satisfying (though I personally would've liked the bread toasted a bit longer). The iced chai was spiced just right -- like a little sip of autumn in the middle of Florida. But the scone stole the show: warm, soft in the middle, and bursting with flavor. I'd come back for that alone. If you're in Crystal River and want a laid-back spot to refuel, recharge, and be treated with kindness, Tea House 650 is the place. read more

Love this sweet little breakfast/lunch spot. Especially on a pretty weekend day, sitting on the front porch watching the people and cars go by. The food is fresh and delicious. If they are busy, you may have to wait a while as it is made fresh to order, but it is worth the wait. The teas are excellent. I had the goji green tea and hubby had the Darjeeling flush both cold and sweet. So good. He had the roast beef sandwich and I had the wonderful Gail chicken salad with fruit. The fruit was excellent and I also got a fresh mini croissant with it. Rob really enjoyed the beef and he commented that the bread and horseradish were great with the excellent beef. It did take a while for the food as they were slammed but we weren't in a hurry and we enjoyed relaxing on the porch The restaurant and shop is cute and quaint and smells delightful from the soft scent of teas, soaps and food. This was a beautiful tea house full of charm. I enjoyed the tea, salad, and the wine flight. The salad was great, the sandwich and soup was great said my husband. It does take time for them to prepare it so you have to have patience for that if you have food allergies like I do. The only issue I had was that I waited in line to place my order, because someone else was placing an order, then a gentleman and his wife were taken before me, which I replied, I was here first and please do not overlook me. A large bar on the right offering a warm atmosphere to try a new flavor and to order. Herbal...green...organic...black...you name it they have it. If not ask and they can make it. Ask to smell that temping flavor before you buy. Their packaging is vacuumed sealed. Any needed tea accessory can also be purchased. They were giving samples of organic full grained oats...of course it was amazing and a large package was purchased. They also will ship and you can call in an order. read more

This was an adorable little lunch spot! We came in during the Manatee festival for lunch. We Were told you have to order at the bar and then they will bring your food out. They don't do full table service. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and both a front and back patio. I ordered an oolong latte, the panini with the soup of the day (chicken & corn noodle soup). My husband ordered the french dip and a cup of soup. The food was comforting and cozy. I really liked how they cut the panini into finger sandwich pieces. That was a cute touch. They didn't do that with the french dip. We were both satisfied with this place and would happily return. They have a lot of tea choices, which makes it hard to choose, but you really don't find tea houses like this very often. read more

Stopped in during the Manatee Festival so it was pretty busy. On another day I'm sure it's very cozy and quaint. I like that there was a large variety of teas to choose from. I got the matcha martini, but I didn't really taste matcha in it just the lemonade. I also got a cashew quinoa wrap so I liked that they offered vegetarian options but the price was $3 more than what was posted online. I also got a ginger white chocolate scone but I wouldn't recommend it. The ginger was too strong for my taste. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again, but would go back to try some of their other teas. You can also buy the tea to make at home. read more

Outstanding food, such a fun place to eat indoors or out, whether at the bar, inside with a feast for the eyes of goodies to soak in, or out on the porch watching tourists and locals going about the little Main Street type area. Really fun experience to take a long trip to meet friends, and a great place to come back to as a regular. We had sandwiches, scones, quiche, and tea, and everything was absolutely delicious and satisfying. The tea was soothing and aromatic and complimented everything perfectly. We went home with loose tea, soup mixes, and more pastries. The staff were so friendly, telling us about the trials, tribulations, and triumphs surrounding the hurricanes. Delicious healthy lunch My husband and I chose 2 items from the specials menu for lunch - bacon and broccoli quiche with Waldorf salad and Balela salad (middle eastern salad with chickpeas, black beans and fresh herbs) with hummus and toasted pita bread. Our lunch was light healthy and delicious - if a little bit expensive considering the portion sizes. We were also a bit surprised to be charged $1 for each glass of water! This is an old Florida house converted into a restaurant/ tea house. They are super friendly and have a great knowledge about their tea. The inside is decorated and feels like home. The tea and coffee bar is on the right side. The have a huge selection of tea for sale . You can sample about 8 different types of teas. The food is so fresh and homemade. I had a Waldorf salad with balsamic vinegar dressing and added chicken. The chicken was sliced and was flavorful and warm. I had walnuts , grapes and everything that makes a Waldorf salad delicious. My son had the chicken salad sandwich. It had a fresh croissant roll with a creamy sauce. The chicken was large square with grapes and walnuts. We had 2 fantastic tea selections . We bought some great teas to take home. This is a cute fresh little restaurant you need to visit. Or just stop by for a tea. read more

This is a charming tea house with a warm staff. Beautiful tea shops with plenty of well-spaced seating and everyone was wearing a mask and following CDC instructions. We were looking specifically for Vegetarian options as my husband does not eat meat. Luckily for us, Tea House 650 had quite a few options . We were looking for light bites as we wanted to hike around the springs nearby . We ordered the Cashew Quinoia Broccoli Burrito, which was absolutely delicious and the Spinach and cheese tortilla pie. We also ordered a Cheese tortilla pie which came with a lovely Raspberry Jalapeño jam. They also have a great variety of teas - iced and hot! If you like tea, this is the place for you! They also sweeten the tea with their local honey and have an assortment of flavors. Like every store and restaurant in the area, this is also a local family owned place . Just came through after a manatee dive in the area and needed a quick coffee pick me up. Cute little place with a nice patio & quaint decor. Ordered an espresso and a little baked treat. Order was quick and easy and my espresso came out quickly. Girl at counter was pleasant and I was in and out in under 10mins. Endless tea choices! We were so impressed with all of the options. Fresh tea. Hot or cold. Need a place for a nutritious lunch or scone and hot tea? This is the place. We forgot to grab a pic but we had the wild blueberry tea with honey (that was local!) and the spicy chai. Both were great and perfectly steeped. We enjoyed our "tea party" on the deck. They don't do full table service but you may order at the bar and they'll happily bring it out. They have a tremendous tea supply and Merch area which has every possible tea, tea accessory or steeper for the perfect little gift. Not the best place for speedy service but a great place to catch up with a friend and just enjoy hanging out. We will definitely be back! Definitely a unique place with wonderful vibes. read more

The owner Gail is a nasty character. I won't be back. She was purposely rude to me while taking my to to go order. She never made eye contact, made me beg her to take my order. She acted like she had better things to do. The lovely employee next to her who took my first order said nothing like this common and I could see she was intimidated. Then she asked what table I'm at even though it's a to go order yet she never brought it out and she made sure my first order was thrown out because the kitchen never got it and she made a big deal about connecting the 2 orders like I did it wrong. I TOLD HER SHE WAS BEING RUDE! She did it on purpose. I even bought gifts there. Food is like appetizer size and just okay. I'm a plant based eater and eat organic but I'll never return. She's a witch. They never made it! I had to wait and she said nothing, no apology. She was enjoying this! I saw on another review site that she treats her employees like garbage and withholds tips til the end of the month. She made an inappropriate comment to an illegally hired youth about her body. This is something I don't get to enjoy much living in the NorCal Bay Area. We have cute tea shops that require a reservation. This was just what I needed, a tea shop that you can walk-in, order your drink and sit outside or take it togo. They offer so many types of teas. We went here two days in a row, I ordered an iced chai and a hot spicey chai. No complaints. This is really a local gem, I'm a little jealous. Oh. My. God. I have to be honest I was surprised to find a vegan-esque place in this small town. I assumed I'd never see non-dairy milk and have to live without coffee. This place blew me away. We had the blueberry lemon scone, the almond cherry scone, and the almond coconut. The three of us fought to lick the scraps out of our to-go bags. The iced matcha green tea was perfect as was the Yerba mate with sweetened coconut milk. We also grabbed a 3 cheese flatbread to go that had the coolest jalapeño strawberry jam.
