I came here to give this location a shot since I am quite familiar with the Forest Avenue location. The staff here is very nice and polite and our food was out in a relatively timely manner. I tried the hungry man waffles which are gluten free and I thought it was a fine meal. They had a very yummy sauce on it however I was a bit disappointed by the rest of the waffle. I also got the cookies and cream coffee and it was very delicious. My only gripe about this location and the other one is I feel like it's a little too sweet for breakfast. It'll do the job for breakfast in a pinch but I always find myself wishing for a little more when I visit a beans and leaves. Additionally the atmosphere at the Forest Avenue location blows this one out of the water although this one is still pretty cute. read more

Beans &Leaves is a cute little cafe with few seats for dining in. I ordered for take out and it took about 15-20 minutes. The staff were quite attentive when I walked in and greeted customers with a big smile. We ordered a turkey bacon, egg, cheese on croissant and a bacon, egg, and cheese on croissant. I also got an iced latte. The croissants did not look too appealing but it tasted quite good and flavorful. The latte was also pretty decent. read more

I generally have more of an appetite for a savory meal than a sweet one so I tried the Hungry Man Grand Slam and a frittata with home fries to share. While it was a filling meal, I think I was left hungry for more flavor. The lack of seasoning/flavor in both meals was surprising to me because the home fries on the side were absolutely scrumptious and topped with a variety of dried herbs. To top off my experience, I ordered a decaf jelly roll latte and was surprised that this creation was actually just a mocha latte without any actual fruit syrup to account for the "jelly" flavor. The drink also ended up being caffeinated to my unfortunate surprise. I'm still giving Beans and Leaves 3 stars because my date's cookies and cream frappe was sooo delicious and from the raving reviews from friends, I'm assuming I just picked wrong. First time I came I dined, not the worst experience but waited over an hour for food while everyone that came after me got theirs before my order. Food and drinks were good. Second time went to pick up drinks, the workers look like they don't want to be there. Ordered a scone and it was stale and had mold in it. Payed almost $3 for just for cold foam, insane. Drinks are already expensive, shouldn't have to pay that much for cold foam when the drinks are already priced high. read more

Not the best place for working. I was looking for a quiet cafe to drink coffee and work on my laptop, and I wouldn't recommend this spot. The seating isn't ideal and the more you sit there, the more you notice it. The chairs were too low and the table was too high. I'm shorter than average, but I'm not tiny by any means. These tables made me feel minature. The table was close to my shoulder height, and when I tried to use my laptop, my elbows couldn't rest on the table. Also, it isn't very clear that you can ONLY order at the counter. When I entered, I was sat at a table and handed a menu. The other guests and I were confused about if there was wait service. It wasn't made clear that there is not, and everyone needs to order at the counter. I had a waffle with butter and syrup, and it was serviceable. Beans & Leaves Cafe is definitely more of a brunch spot. It's a cute location with a cozy ambiance, but for the reasons I mentioned before, it needs improvements before I would consider coming back. read more

Terrible service. They gave the table that ordered after us their food before us. 45 minutes for our food to come because they made the mistake of giving us the wrong order. Even a simple croissant I had to ask 3 times for it just so I can have something to feed my toddler while we waited that long. Workers could care less of their mistakes. The employees were a delight, I just want to address a comment that called them "rude", "disruptive" and "not fun". This is a cafe that employs people with disabilities. If you want to learn more about this community and get delicious coffee and treats at the same time, go! If you are too ignorant to tolerate people who do not act the same as you, then go somewhere else and don't ruin a great experience for everyone. The best coffee shop on Staten Island! The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. My recommendation is a waffle with Nutella, banana and strawberries but any waffle is amazing. The avocado toast with egg is also a favorite. The atmosphere is great and the coffee delicious! Would highly recommend! read more

I am giving three stars because I had positive experiences with this business in the past. I ordered food. They brought out food for my mom and brother. They finished their food and I still haven't received mine. The table that came after fully got all of their food. I asked the young guy bringing out food to the table what happened to my food. He said he would check and never let me know. About ten minutes later I went to ask the young girl behind the counter that also said they would check. About 10 minutes later my smores waffle finally came out. The young guy puts the plate down with an attitude and said sorry with an attitude. This speaks to not good practices in the kitchen from the food expeditor making sure all food goes out together for the table and the front of the house that noticed the situation and did nothing to correct it on their own and not very personable and pleasant to deal with. Great place I used to drive about an hour to their forest Avenue shop just for their Red Velvet Latte. Now they opened on Arthur Kill close to my home and I must say the Red Velvet Latte was just as good. Staff great. Next time I will eat there. The place was packed like their original shop so I'm guessing the food is awesome! They also sell red velvet candles that's my next purchase when I visit. Cute atmosphere!!! read more
