Amazing staff, from the front desk to the techs. I came here to get my 2019 PP1 mustang 5.0 aligned. It's lowered and I let another shop (huge mistake) align it before bringing it here. They left me with a -2.5 on one side and -1.5 on another and told me not to worry about it. I wish I came here first because they have better prices , listened to what I wanted and did exactly that and for me that's what a business is all about. The first visit and last I should say, I went in for an alignment and they told me I needed to change the two front control arms. They gave me an over priced estimate. I took it to my mechanic an payed half of that to change all four control arms. I figured I bought this stupid coupon on GROUPON so might as well go back. When I tried to schedule an appt they put me on hold for 10 mins and would hang up. Finally I schedule an appt and got a txt to confirm my appt and to my surprise I get an email that they changed my appt. This place just likes to play games and I'm tired of that. Ended up calling back ( to say no brakes just a oil change) less then a minute later literally, he said they already got my brakes off, so I said put them back on // told me yes for the oil change and then on top of that they were going to charge me 60$ to put my brakes back on. I had told the front desk lady that I needed a part put on long with my alignment, and I had asked if it was extra for them to put it on and if it was I'll put the part on my self.. I was under the impression there were putting the part on for free. The mechanic made it seem like it was free when it really wasn't ... at the end of it all they charged $80 to put on two bolts and they weren't even installed completely.. basically the mechanic is sly and make it seem like he's hooking you up but he's not at all. be weary of this spot, very shady.. read more

Easiest oil change ever! I found this place on Groupon (even without the groupon, their prices are more than reasonable). I went in and was helped swiftly by the kind lady at the front desk. As I waited for my car to be worked on, I helped myself to some complimentary tea from the keurig machine they had available and watched the movie they had playing in the waiting room. Had a Groupon coupon for this place and decided to give them a try. Woman at the front counter was nice, but my alignment was exactly the same after the work was supposedly done on it. When I called and told her I wasn't happy with the work, the manager told me to bring it back. Like I have the time to bring it back. I work two jobs, and my only day off is usually on a Sunday. If this guy wants to bring his shop to my house, then maybe I'd be open to his solution to the problem. My advice...go somewhere else. read more

Tried to say my car needed new tie rods along with a whole laundry list of different things that added to around $1500. Didn't feel right about it, took it to another mechanic and the first thing he said was "bet you just came from bear alignment and brake and said your whole car needed to be fixed". PISSED OFF CUSTOMER! If there were negative stars I'd give it to them! 2nd time isn't a charm! I'll never go back and wouldn't refer them at all! 2 years ago they hot rodded my $73k 2019 LTZ Z71 LP5 truck around, but didn't know I was monitoring them on My Chevy app. Several hard accelerations and hard breaking prior to doing an alignment for upgraded tires on a brand new truck! I figured I'd give them another chance since that was 2 years ago and they said that tech didn't work there anymore. Well, this was like jumping from the frying pan to the fire! Last week I had to get new tires and went to have them check the alignment on Thursday morning. They said it needed $2,679 worth of work for worn front end parts and also said I needed brake rotors and pads. But he'd cut me a deal for $2,500. Branden said it would only take a day, but during the repair they stripped out a power steering hose and would repair it without any cost to me, but they needed my truck for additional day. I told them not to rush because I drive a lot for work and want it done right the 1st time. Keep in mind that I do all of the minor maintenance on this truck since I bought it brand new. It doesn't leak a drop and is still or at least was as clean as a brand new truck today. I picked up my truck on Friday. 1st I noticed that the steering was unusually stiff, called Brandon and he said to try and drive it and if it bothers me to bring it back. Instead of bring it back so we can check it. I get home and went to check the torque on the wheels and 2 lug nuts were loose on the passenger front along with a missing lug nut! My 1st thought is, if they can't get this right, what else did they screw up. I call Brandon AGAIN and he said to bring it by on Saturday and they'll check the front end, replace the lug nut and re-torque the wheels. I'm thinking it's all good now so I wash my truck on Sunday and park it back in my garage. Today, I go out to drive my truck and there is a Fu@%ing puddle of Power Steering fluid in my garage! I check the PS fluid level and it's WAY over filled! I can't tell you how irritated this makes me! The attached pictures also show the greasy mess they left me with and there is also a nut missing that is suppose to hold the PS hose to the frame they had to replace. I'm sure that bolt is with the lug nut they lost and forgot to put back on. Finally, their tech is missing a 17mm wrench as they left it under my hood! I'm keeping it as a reminder to NEVER go back to these HACKS! WARNING! If you've been there and have a newer car, check how they drove it. You may find yourself writing a similar review! Finally, they also multiply the cost of the EXACT same parts that you can get from any local auto parts store by 2 to 4 times! That's just insult to injury! read more

Took my daughter's car in for an advertised oil change special. I also wanted a quote for a transmission and radiator fluid change. I received a text not long after dropping the car off stating my car did not require either radiator or transmission fluid changes until 90,000 miles. My daughter's car had 33,000 miles. After picking up my daughter's car (oil change only) I drove home and called the KIA dealership in Temecula and spoke to a service mechanic. He told me radiator fluid on my daughter's car should be changed every 30,000 miles and transmission fluid every 60,000 (not 90,000 miles) as told to me by Bear Alignment. I also questioned the tag Bear Alignment placed on the windshield for the next oil change. The tag read the next oil change should be in two months (2-3-2023) or 224,000 miles. Pros - Convenient location, prompt service, my vehicle was ready as promised. They did a full check out of my vehicle and sent a cool diagnostic to me over email that gave me an idea of the results of the inspection. The gal at front desk was pleasant. Cons - The goal of aforementioned diagnostic is to find any deficiencies of vehicle and then becomes a dossier to increase bill. It isn't a free, friendly service. Whatever is discovered is pitched as "unsafe" and through the roof the cost goes. I had uneven tire wear and bought a $59 Groupon for an front end alignment and ended up with $1600 repair bill. I didn't get my old parts back, the guy who pitched me the repairs was AWOL when I picked up the vehicle and no on walked me through or confirmed what was done to my rig. Bottom line? I don't know what was wrong with my car. I am taking their word for it. I'm hoping they were on the level, but it seems like mechanics try to extract as much money as they can from people. That they didn't give back my old parts or meet when I paid reinforced that feeling. $1600 for four shocks and rebuilding the tie-rod ends was a shock. After this experience, I would advise getting a second opinion. It will take more time and hassle, but shops these days are counting that car owners can't be bothered, and then stack the bill as much as they can. Get a second opinion. read more

You can always tell when a place takes pride in their work. When a place goes above and beyond not only to land you as a returning customer but because they actually care about what they do. I can count how many honest mechanics I've come across on one hand and this place is definitely on the list. First off just to try and test them out I took my 2016 Chevy Sonic RS. Bought it brand new and barely drive it. Just a little zip around car to throw the kids in if we just to have a little fun on the weekend. 19k miles in 3 years. And I take care of my vehicles and she's garage kept. So I knew she was in great shape. I bought a Groupon just for an oil change. Nothing more, nothing less. They got my in there pretty quick after i checked in. The woman at the front desk was very professional and friendly. They have a nice little waiting room and when my car was done the mechanic called me over to discuss some things with me. In my mind I was thinking, "here we go. About to tell me a laundry list of things I apparently need". He did the exact opposite. Told me everything was in the green and I was good to go. Wow! Wasn't expecting that at all. So..... I figured I'd give them another try just to be sure they weren't a fluke. Took my 2005 Toyota Tundra in for an oil change. I thought for sure I'd get a laundry list of things needed for that. BUT... I keep pretty good care of my vehicles and for an 05 she's still nice and in good shape. Again, the woman at the front desk was extremely friendly and welcoming. They had me fill out some paperwork again and they took my truck back. The mechanic calls me over and explains what is needed. Nothing more than some preventative maintenance for a truck this age. Showed me an entire report where almost everything was in the green except a few things. They were in the yellow so it wasn't urgent but something I should be aware of and keep an eye on. Then he said to me, "you've had a lot of work done to your truck Nd you can tell you really take care of it. New breaks pads and rotors, shocks etc etc etc. This impressed me because it showed me they actually inspected everything. They definitely earned my business. My Subaru needed some new brake pads and a little work done. The customer service here was really impressive. They were personable and made the drop off/pick up process easy. I asked them to check out a few things where they called me throughout the day with updates and the final answer was "it's fine" as opposed to "sorry, that'll be another $1000!". Prices were decent and as we went to pick up the car, some of the mechanics who were in the office offered more input on what was going on. After taking my car the Bear Alignment because I could not drive the the vehicle, I was asked to describe symptoms. I mentioned tight steering and fluid leakage. Bear gave me their analysis of the problems with the car, and what would be necessary for me to pay "for the car to be road-worthy." Bear fixed the steering but did not fix the fluid leakage. In fact, as soon I drove away from the shop my "check engine" light came on. When I took the car back to Bear, they at first denied a problem existed, and then when they confirmed the problem, denied responsibility for fixing it. My story starts with Groupon. After calling around I discovered they were running a special for alignment which I purchased. Called them for an appointment which they booked me for the next day. I arrived about 15 minutes early and was greeted promptly and pleasantly by a young lady. She explained that they were a little backed up but should be able to accommodate me quickly. Well the vehicle that was before me was giving them a major headache so I waited. One hour later though they finally got me in. It took only a few minutes on my truck to finish and I still made my other appointment. All said the shop and personnel were welcoming and friendly. Yesterday, I ran over something on the freeway and someone told me that it looked like a plastic bag dragging and it could be dangerous if my engine sucked it up. This starts off rough but I guarantee it ends amazing... I showed up for my 9:40 AM alignment appointment at 9:35 AM. I would have preferred to be earlier but I got hung up at breakfast (huevos rancheros). I was greeted as soon as I walked in by the amazing Emily. She was polite, chipper, and best of all, intelligent. She knew what she was doing and she did it well. I filled out the little paperwork I needed to, surrendered my keys, and had a seat. The seating area is small with about ten chairs. There's a TV playing Netflix and I'm sure they'd change it if you asked them. I was content with the Lance Armstrong documentary they had playing. After about 20 minutes I looked outside and still saw my car staring back at me. Hmm. Maybe they're a little behind. No biggie. I go back to watching Lance dope himself up. Another 20 minutes go by and my car is still there and Lance is still doping. Now I'm starting to get concerned. I ignored it though and just figured it was a fluke. Well, 10:30 AM rolls around and my car is still out front. Now, I'm not a picky person. I'm pretty laid back. But, when you make an appointment I kind of expect the time to be held. So I approach the desk and ask Emily what was up. She checked with the techs in the back and they said they were just finished up with the previous car. Finally, an hour after my appointment time, my car is in the back getting checked. That's frustrating. Well the alignment didn't take long at all. Maybe 20 minutes. They pull my car around and tell me it's done. I approach the counter and pull out my wallet and my credit card with it. I'll never forget the words that came out of Emily's mouth next... "We're not charging you today since you had to wait so long." What the what?!?! Are you serious? I tried multiple times for her to take my card and let me pay. Extremely impressed with the friendliness and professionalism I received while having services performed on my vehicle. From the first impression they were amazing! when calling they treat you like you are a priority and try to fit you in whenever they can to when walking in they greet you right away and they are completely transparent with any issues and their best recommendations. I can tell they are watching out for what's in your best interest versus what's in their best interest for their pockets. My son and I were referred to this business by someone at America's Tires to get an alignment for my 18 year old son's car. While we were dropping the car off, my son had to fill out a form with several questions on it concerning doing additional repairs if necessary. Well, about an hour or so after dropping the car off, my son gets a text saying that he needed to get wheel bearings for his car and the cost would be $707.48 in addition to the $80 for the alignment! I'm glad my son is frugal because he came to me asking if that was too much. I called them just to be sure my son wasn't mistaken. He wasn't, Brendon told me it was a serious safety concern, and they couldn't do the alignment until they replaced the bearings. So I told Brendon to hold off until I called him back. I immediately called my family's "trusted" mechanic shop and told them what was going on. Once I told them the name of the repair facility, they immediately told me not to get that repair done there! I was then told that Bear was known for doing unnecessary repairs, essentially ripping people off. So I shut the repairs down there and had my son drive his car a short distance to their repair shop. Once they did their inspection, they told me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the wheel bearings in my son's car. They went on to tell me that someone had loosened the nuts on the wheel to give the impression that the wheel was loose due to needing the bearings replaced! After tightening the nuts, the wheel was fine. They did the alignment, and my son's car is operating with no issues at all! I was compelled to write this negative review because this is my son's first exposure to needing any auto repairs, and go figure, the first facility he goes to tried to rip him off! That infuriated me because in August, my son is on his way to college away from home. I told him that the old saying I heard growing up, unfortunately, is still true today. We took our vehicle here to do an alignment based on a recommendation from America's tires. With the coupon the alignment was going to be $79 and after scheduling an appointment we arrived and they said it would take up to 4 hours. After sitting for 20 minutes they came back and told us we needed $1,626.76 worth of work. $1132.58 for new suspension/struts as the guys indicated "suspension was completely shot". And also $494.18 for new front brakes and rotors. We found it odd since we had just had our vehicle at our mechanic a week earlier and they indicate those were all in good condition. We declined the service and returned to mechanic who again inspected suspension, struts, brakes and rotors and found them all in good condition. Today (one week later) I took our car to Honda dealership who also confirmed front brakes, rotors, suspension and struts were all in good condition. Now reading many reviews on Bear I see it is very common for them to recommend thousands of dollars in repairs that are unnecessary. $1600 is a significant amount of money to try to scam a customer out of. Also after declining the extra work somehow that alignment was done in 45 minutes instead of up to 4 hours. read more
