This is one of my favorite parks in the area. I like that I didn't have wood chips because those get inside the shoes and hurt a lot. I'm happy that they have the rubber flooring, because it's easy for hits to climb up and down and they don't have to worry about anything getting in their shoes. The bright colors are fun and they have ample seating and picnic tables and a covered sitting area. I definitely would recommend this park. read more

Dog park review: This park is great if you want some space for your dog to roam/run around in. I believe the dog park for big dogs is 2 acres (?) or something like that. They have kiddie pools you can fill up with water, over by the hose to the side. There is a fire hydrant that mists water when you press down on the button. There are benches/places to sit throughout the park, with the largest being the gazebo at the front, near the fence. If you ever want to host some sort of puppy gathering, this would be the place to do it. Plenty of room! read more

If the featured photo is a happy corgi pup, that is my babes! We are in town and this park is a nice big area - the small dog side is great. There is a little gazebo-type area to sit in shade, some props for pups to play, a couple benches, and a little area with the hose and pool and water bowls. The only thing I wish was that it was grass, only because the dust gets in the dogs' eyes when they run. Otherwise, I love this park. The people are great and the dogs have so much fun. Finally, I love the big entrance; I wish more dog parks had an entrance with a big transition area where you remove/put on your dog's leash. It makes a big difference. read more

Didn't get to roam around but what we saw have us a good impression. Parking lot could be larger as we were here sitting our son's NXR South run 'Nike Cross Country Regionals South marathon. It was also cold and rainy so after his run and cool down good coach let us go. read more

It looks great when you drive into the parking lot. I went to the small dog park to find nothing but benches. No obstacles to train the dogs with. It's rather small too. Just because of the size of the dog, doesn't mean it wants or needs less room to run. since no one else was there, I decided to head over to the large dog park. Not much better. It accomplished the basic goal. They did however get bored after 10 minutes. read more

People bring extremely big dogs into the small dog area because of age. The dog hurt me! Ran into my leg and almost knocked me over. I have a huge bruise on my thigh-- that dog could have stepped on my dachshunds back and that huge dog could have hurt my babies. We left and didn't make a scene. We had such a great time at this dog park today. It was our first time at this dog park today. The people were awesome and my big boy had a great time running and playing with the other dogs. We will definitely be back. It's also nice that they have a small dog area too. My dog is 120 lbs so not having to worry about him run over a small dog. Excellent park for toddlers! My one year loves this playground. I like that there are ramps instead of stairs on the equipment (since he is just getting good at walking.) We also enjoyed watching the kids at the bike/skate park and there is a concession stand with drinks and snacks. We didn't walk around the dog park, but it appeared to be a popular place too. You can also rent the pavilion for special events. (My sister had her daughter's 2nd birthday here and it turned out great.) This is our favorite park to visit when we are in town! read more

I was not impressed with Bear Branch. I usually take my dog to Meyer Park where he can run and play with tons of other dogs, by because we now live 45 minutes away from Meyer we decided to try Bear Branch which is only 10 minutes away. I didn't like that the park is virtually desolate. No grass, it is filled with dirt and pine needles. There are no pools or places for the dogs to run and play in. The water hose in the front entrance allows you to give your dog water by not really let them "swim" like Meyer Park. There also weren't a lot of seating areas for the owners. 1 bench tucked back off in the trees was the only place to sit if you intent on staying awhile. I would suggest that they add more seating and maybe some grass. read more

The park was well maintained. There are things for all age groups to do. Nice skate park, courts for tennis, swings and playground and there is also a nice dog park in the front by entrance. Good place for a picnic. I had kids in all areas of the park and I had a good view of all areas the benches are placed in very good areas. I loved that I was able to see my kids and keep an eye on them without having to constantly get up. read more

Found this park after it was suggested to me by a coworker. It was easy to find this place and there's ample parking. The dog park is the main reason by I wanted to check this place out and my girl loved it. Large play area for fetch, water to cool off and there's a separate large and small dogs playground. Will definitely be back and enjoy this park. read more

Dog park review! Not human friendly: no seating, only three trash cans on the "big dog" side, and one main gate into both sides of the park makes for a chaotic mess of butt sniffing and a greater possibility of your puppy squeezing between legs for a bid at freedom. That being said, wood chips on the ground and LIGHTS put this dog park at the top of the list... of dogs parks in the Woodlands area. This is a very large and well equipped community park. It is owned by The Woodlands Community Association and lies on 6.03 acres and features the Bear Branch Pool (across the street) with the Bear Branch Sports Field nearby. The disc golf course is great, with water hazards and other challenges. Wooded Disc Golf course that requires more finesse, and less power. Wooded, with 3 tees on each hole. Some topography change, a water hazard and a mix of left, right and straight holes. I learned to play true Disc Golf here that gives you challenges for your power, finesse, consistency, and placement. Additionally, I made my 1st ACE here on Hole#3 over the water. The park, fields, and disc golf course have good accommodations for parking, restrooms and family fun. It is quietly nestled off the main roads and is a pleasant place to be when the soccer season is not active. A nice park, and a good Disc Golf course for those learning to play and for the those with some experience. read more

The park is a great place for the dogs to run and play. The reason for only 3 stars is that there are some owners who refuse to clean up after their dogs. There are also owners who think their little dogs are good to go in the large dog area then get their feathers ruffled when the big dogs show up. read more

Our first visit to this park with our 14 month old. Most of the kids were running like maniacs on the playscape (which is normal for kids right?) It was a little too aggressive for our little one. We put her in the bouncer vehicle and she seemed alright with that. She mostly watched all the frantic kids running around. We put her in a bucket swing and that seemed fine too. I think it will be great when she is a bit older. Other than that she walked off towards the Tennis courts (with me following behind her of course) and she seemed in awe of the game. Anyhow this park offers Tennis Courts, Dog Park, Pool/Splash Pad-I think you have to be registered though and skate park. Pretty cool over all that it offers so much. The playground is pretty open so your child could walk off if you are distracted. read more

I would like to put 4.5. A definite check it out as far as I am concerned. This park is almost perfect. A little more room and grass would make it so. It is all mulch which I am not a huge fan of. But for the positives, it has all the good stuff - water and little pools, poop stations, trees, and park benches. I have only been three times but have met really nice people and dogs when I was there. read more

Great Disk Golf! The course is challenging and well set up. It's not a long course but weaves through the woods, making for a great time. It's long enough for most and is a tough challenge for mediocre players. That's a tough value statement, I know. I'd say most holes are 250'-350'. Few are straight ahead and they the offer a decent mix of left and right dog-legs. There's one pond. We've lost some discs in there but have never lost one in the woods. The woods are easy to navigate for finding your disc. read more

For some reason now that the weather has gotten much cooler people are coming to this park after work. From what I have been hearing it is mostly due to bad experiences at other dog parks, so that is a good thing about Bear Branch! I have never witnessed an aggressive dog or dog fight at this park. read more

Good solid dirt track around the soccer fields. Track is only 9/10's long though. Good to know when running for mileage

Very nice and clean dog park. I like that the lights come on after dark during the winter months so that our pups can play post sundown.

The only reason I gave this place a 4 is because of the Frisbee golf course (which is really challenging). You generally run into teenagers partaking in the devil's cabbage along the course but to each their own. Other than that, its pretty average with some tennis courts and a volleyball court. read more

Wow! It's a park and a zoo....they even have a buffalo! There are lots to do here. They have a bird sanctuary, a walking track that goes around the park. They have lots of soccer fields, baseball field and covered patios to have a picnic. The place is huge. If you're looking for a park I would definitely recommend this one. Love this park, it the first one my son actually loved. We were there two hours and he stayed at the play area the entire time! Which he usually is one to run on the trails/sidewalks, but he loved it!! Nice shaded play area! read more
