seems ok. went here on a very rainy sunday afternoon when my dogs needed a pit stop from the car. the rain stopped for a bit and we jumped out, a little small for my large dogs, but ok. grassy with water to drink and a plastic pool for dogs to cool off. lots of patio chairs a few trees. a little confining compared to other parks but for a local park to get your dog out for a bit it will work. read more

I have been wanting to check out this dog park for quite some time now. I wasn't really impressed. It's a nice size area for dogs to run around, yes, but it's just that. There's one small awning with benches/chairs for humans to sit under and hang out, and then there's one bench in the back. Near the back are 4 dog pools that dogs can hang out in/rinse off at. I'm not sure why it was super muddy when I came last, it did not rain the day of or prior. Nonetheless, my pup had fun and that's all that matters. If someone invites us to come, we'll go, but it's not the first park that will come to mind if we have a say in where we'll go. read more

A toilet wasn't working and the other looked like someone took a sledgehammer to it. The playground had new mulch. A riding toy is either broken or missing. Dog park seems decent. Cattail park my dogs love you. I think they do resent your name for a dog park and I haven't seen any Cattails. Lol. I mostly bring my lab because my fur baby enjoys the freedom of the large park. I usually go on off hours out of preference so we get to bond and play more one on one. I think my big fur baby loves the less busy times also. The park does have a lot of rules which imo is a positive because some dog owners need the extra reminders. Overall a beautiful park to hang out at and chill or bring your fur babies for some romping. There are restrooms btw. There is a big dog section and a smaller more green grassy area with little kiddie type pools for the under 20 pound dogs. They do have Dogi-pot disposal plastic bags so you can conveniently clean up your dogs poo. Both the large and small dog area are well fenced. Towards the back of the large area there is a seating area for humans. With the current cooler temps this is a great place to hang out outdoors with your beloved fur babies. Children over nine are allowed in the actual dog park area. read more

My dogs and I really enjoy this park. There are two separate fenced off areas for both small and large dogs. I love that they have a tent and lots of benches for owners to sit in the shade while their puppies play. There are also pools for the dogs to swim in and lots of water bowls around to enjoy. If you come often enough you will get to see regular faces. The owners of the park come every Wednesday and do lawn maintenance as well as pick up any pet waste so the park stays clean and enjoyable. There are also trails and a basketball court if you want to take your children to play or maybe take a walk yourself. read more

My dog loves it here! It's a safe area and I feel comfortable that my dog won't get hurt. We normally go in the morning and get to hang out with fun pawrents and their pets! My dog is over 25lbs and does well with the large dogs. As long as everyone's dog gets along the days are usually fun! Don't have your dog wear a bandana, it'll probably get dirty from how much playing he/she will do. I've had my dog in a jacket a couple times but that gets so dirty so wouldn't recommend that either! There were too many mud puddles for the park which led to dogs getting dirtier than usual. Biggest issue we had was with the dog owners not cleaning up after their dogs. Dogs of all shapes and sizes -- and PLENTY of room for them all to run around! The "big dog" side is a very long fenced off area great for playing fetch. A covered area is in the very middle (packed on the day I stopped by-- people brought their own lawn chairs), a few benches are scattered around the edges, but there are not many trees providing shade. There is a water faucet and kiddy pools to fill with water. The area around this station is, of course, a swamp. Beware: My puppy's short little legs sank and he was up to his belly in mud! The "small dog" side is about 1/7 the size of the "big dog" side. This is where I took away a star for the rating. My little one loves to play fetch, but was too scared once the larger dogs ran after the ball, but there isn't very much room to run in the small dog side! Several people arrived while we were there, too, and the small space filled up very quickly. Please keep an eye on your pets! Only once was my dog bullied, but the human belonging to the dog was no where to be seen! I had to pick my little guy up and hope the larger animal wasn't so determined as to jump up to get him. Dogs are required to be up to date with shots and you are supposed to carry papers (just in case). ps, The park does not have lights, so get here early and play in the sunlight! read more

I took my dachshund there once. It's small and even smaller for the small dog section. the people at the dog park are interesting. We had one lady non stop giving us her unsolicited advice about our dog. I don't know what it is with people but jeez Mind your own business and let my dog run around in peace.... I get that it's human nature to get clique-ish but there should be some sort of human decency and to acknowledge someone if they acknowledge you. It's a small park I SEE you staring at me! We've come here a few times with our furkids - both 14lbs of fun - and they all have a GREAT time playing with dogs of all ages. They have pools here and a hose which is great fun. When I come back, I'm bringing a fold up chair - there is some seating, but not nearly enough when this is busy. You almost miss this if you aren't paying attention to the signs...its hidden behind the trees as most are in The Woodlands. Parking, kids park, bathrooms...very nice. read more

This is our favorite park most especially the dog park! This review will mostly be about the dog park. We love how our dog can run around this big park and then we go for a walk on the trail or play basketball but most of all we love how there are always dogs in this dog park that our dog can play with. We have been to other dog parks in the woodlands area and we do not see many dogs in those parks. They have the plastic pools that our dog loves a whole lot, unfortunately. This park also has benches around and in the middle there is a covered area with chair where most of the owners sit and talk. The only downside is that they do not have a wash area when we get out of the park. It would be nice to have a wash area because our large furry dog gets really dirty in the park because he likes to run around, roll around on the grass, and wash himself in dirt on the plastic pools that they have. Overall, if you live in this area you should check out this park most especially for the dog park! read more

Nice on a quiet day when its not crowded, but it is very small and when its busy, the owners and dogs congregate in the middle and the dogs form a pack very quickly. Unfortunately this can lead to territorial dog fights breaking out easily. There are no washing stations or drinking fountains. There is only a water faucet to fill bowls. I prefer Boroughs Park, where I can walk around with my dogs and get exercise. read more

The only reason I give it one star less if not for the park its self but for the people that go. People are gross, and don't pick up after their dogs. Don't come to the dog park expecting to stay clean and get upset if a dog hurts you. They're playing with each other and do not care where you are or what you're doing. If you get in their way and get hurt, suck it up. Our dog had a great time here!! There is so much space and so many dogs! The Bear Branch dog park rarely has dogs, but that isnt the case here!!!! Most of the dog owners were really nice. Since there has been a lot of rain recently there were some pretty big mud puddles so I recommend bringing a towel for after. This park seems to be for both big and little dogs, so make sure your dog is ready to play with dogs of all sizes!! read more

Cattail Park, located off Cochran's Crossing Dr, has a nice dog park area. In total, there is about 1 acre of fenced-in area for the dogs to run around in. The dog park has water hoses, plastic pools, doggie pick-up bags, and covered area and benches for the people. There is a main, larger section, and a smaller separated section for dogs under 25 lbs at the back. The dog park is generally very clean and people are mostly good about picking up after their pets. The area is largely grass, however the perimeters tend to be on the muddy side. I wear old clothes / shoes when I go there as I expect that myself and my dog will be getting dirty. My dog Polo, and I love this dog park! We have been going her for the past 6 months and have never had a negative experience...knock on wood. Growing up in Austin TX, I have been to tons of parks/dog parks and while they are great, this one is the best yet. They have a wide space with plenty of water bowls, 2 kiddie Pools, and many benches along with a shaded area. There is also a park for small dogs that connects to the big dog park. My favorite part is that they have 2 gates. You enter the front (somewhat like a lobby) and then go through the other that enters the park. This helps, as Polo is a very curious Golden Retriever, and I wouldn't doubt for a second he would try to get out and explore. Two negatives I have are: people bringing in children too young (there are rule about this, as it is dangerous) And, if you have a small dog stick to the small dog park. There is a reason they are separate! All owners I have met are responsible, Loving doggy owners! read more

We just moved to the area from Humble, TX and decided to take our two dogs to this dog park Sunday. We go to dog parks all the time, and this was one of the worst experiences we have had ever! The owners of the poorly trained dogs sit in the middle of the tiny park and socialize the entire time. We have a neutered female dog, and we literally had to physically remove their very dominant aggressive male dogs off of her. We moved to the other side of the park to avoid this, but the dogs followed us further away from the owners pow wow circle. At one point a very rude man came over and got his dog finally! But then proceeded to trash talk us for calling out his aggressive dog for his behavior. A lady sitting next to us said that his dog bit her dog the week before, her dog had scars to prove it. We finally left because we did not want our dog to become aggressive based on the behavior that was exhibited to her. This park has terrible dog owners and poorly trained dogs. read more
