The walking paths have recently been upgraded to asphalt rather than packed clay, and there are a couple of hiking trails through the forested areas to enjoy as well. Closes around dusk and the constables do pass through and nudge folks out before closing. Locking gates were also recently added. My dog enjoys our walks here especially when she sniffs out the occasional deer or rabbit that live along Cypress Creek. If you do the whole loops the walking path is about 2.5 miles.

They have a sand volleyball court. Lots of walking trails. Even behind the trees where a retention pond is. They have covered pavilions with picnic tables and bbq pits. I've hiked here in every kind of weather all year long. I love how there is always something new to see and its so wonderful to live in the city but so close to a place where you can go and not even hear a car. I've seen owls, alligators, wild boar, deer, snakes, and so many different kids of birds. I've lived all over the country as we used to be a military family and this was a hard move for me, initially. I'm not near any of my family here, and I had been living near mountains or the ocean my entire adult life. But I've grown to love the bayou wildlife and scenery as well.
