The bread, airy and light, beautifully happy yeast just bounding with lift, defying the constraints of olive oil which left my fingers gloriously glistening. I haven't had a focaccia as happy as that in a minute. Super thin radish, bright pickled shallot and fresh watercress all gave a nice vibrant touch. Ben's cream cheese couldn't possibly be creamier. And the delicate, silky, fresh, luxurious salmon... What a dream. So balanced. I filled my arms with goods- iberico salami, Aleppo chili oil, Blackstrap coffee beans, local chocolates, and an adorable Talbott & Arding puzzle. I'm sure I could have easily convinced myself to buy just about everything I laid my eyes upon. The cheese counter was an absolute work of art. It's clear that Talbott & Arding is a willing servant to the gifts of the surrounding earth and people. The homage it pays is palpable. Our stop at Talbott & Arding set the tone for an intentional, peaceful, vibrant, cozy, delicious, connected trip. I'll be back immediately.

Casings are not properly closed, they don't taste the same and their Wienerle look wrinkly and outright unappetizing + they are oversmoked. Very sad to see an institution go downhill and change that quickly from being an authentic German butcher to being a subpar spot that has none of the craftsmanship and quality that they used to have. They also sell vacuum packed pasta with seasoning in it. In the fridge you can find frozen sausages. The salami is priced based on the weight which is determined at the counter. According to yelp app, you get free item for purchase over $15 (I forgot what it was) but I was told that is an old item so it was not available. The store keeper was very nice to give me a pack of olives.

They have a bunch of other things not just relating to olive oil, but candy, soaps, honey, vinegars, pasta, and spreads. They also have impressive gift boxes, that are very professionally packaged, and would make a great gift. I left with about $60 worth of honey and oils. It is very expensive, and the taste remains to be seen, but I have a feeling it will live up to its perceived expectation. It's also a good way to support a local family run business. Check it out!
