We used this company this year to book our vacation in East TN. Booking was easy and fast. Service was great and price was reasonable. We had a party of 8 (2 families of 4). Since it appears they are simply the management of the property, I won't spend much time commenting on the property but more of the experience. However, in general, the house/cabin was nice (Cubs Den) and spacious. It could have used some TLC such as flooring in the bathroom (laminate doesn't work week for wet areas) and very old dishwasher. The beds were AMAZING!! Hot tub in private room was non-functional but I didn't care. I would definitely use Bear Camp again for making vacation plans but perhaps contact them to find out how old the house is. I love how they provide guidance about access to the cabin i.e. paved fully, not recommended for motorcycles etc. We had a slight issue with someone from another company/cabin parking in our area when we arrived but I called the office and they came over right away. One perk is the provide free tickets to some local attractions, if interested, which were weren't really. read more

We arrived late to the Nuthouse II, we went straight there and had the code to get in. WOW! The most beautiful cabin I've ever seen!! The price was incredible! I've paid more at the holiday inn. The furniture was exquisite. It was cleaned so thoroughly, and amenities such as dish soap, towels, hand soap, dishwasher detergent were there in sample sizes. We taught the kids how to play pool downstairs in the game room. The washer and dryer came in handy and every appliance worked better than my own at home. The views were incredible. No one bothered us, in fact, we never even saw anyone until we went into town. The mountains were a scary drive for this city girl, but we made it! When we're up to going back, we will most likely choose this cabin again. Edit: I forgot to mention we were a half hour late getting out but the housekeeping waited down the road instead of coming in (which would have been fine). I forgot my pillow, no big deal... but they still called! Excellent customer service!!! read more

DO NOT RENT A CABIN FROM THIS COMPANY! There are so many better rental companies in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area who are professional and provide excellent customer service, as well as maintaining properties the way a property should be maintained. The Enchanted View cabin is filthy. I left it cleaner than before I arrived. Banisters are sticky, cobwebs everywhere, outdated and/or broken appliances, uncomfortable OLD sofas, absolutely gross bed pillows, NO streaming service on any TV except the living room. There's a theater room and no way to stream movies in there. Only a DVD player. What century are we in? What a joke! Fire place doesn't work, No blackout curtains to keep the master bedroom cooler, no ceiling fan remotes, dirty fixtures and ceiling fans, dusty furniture and lamps, hot tub placed where the neighboring cabin can look directly at it so forget privacy. Can't use it anyway, it's filthy and the wood around it is rotting. Porch furniture is ancient and uncomfortable. Dirty bathrooms and urine stains on toilet seats so bad it can't be cleaned. Cobwebs EVERYWHERE. Even a huge thick one between the shower curtain rod and wall. Could have been a spider nest, who knows. The worst part of it are the comments from Bear Camp Cabin Rentals responding to guests who leave bad reviews. (On Google reviews) The most unprofessional, immature comments I've ever seen a company make. Whoever is posting those responses sounds like an aggressive, angry middle schooler. Absolutely ZERO customer service skills on those responses to bad reviews. Don't rely on their website's reviews! Go to Google reviews and Better Business Bureau reviews. We have NEVER had problems with rentals through VRBO or Air B&B or any other rental company. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! Don't be fooled by the free attraction vouchers they offer. You'll be stuck with a strict itinerary for attractions because the vouchers have to be scheduled for a specific date. I don't like "schedules" while I'm on vacation even if it is a free ticket. We had a great stay with Bear Camp at Bear Pointe Cabin. The location was perfect right in between Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge. The cabin was everything that was promised and while other cabins are nearby it felt like a secluded getaway. Layout was perfect for our daily of 4 Each kid had their own queen bed and we shared a roomy and comfortable tempurpedic king bed. The outside area was amazing but it was very cold during our stay so didn't get to use it as much as we wanted. Overall this was a great place to stay it will be at the top of our list when we come back. read more

Hello Mr. Gilliam, I'm writing you in regards to one of your property that I recently stayed at from January 10th through the 13th (Mystic Moonlight).  First, let me address that the check-in with Laura was pleasant and once myself and my guests arrived at the property, we were absolutely in awe of the view we had for the next three days. As we all were getting settled, my guests that were staying in the lower level of the cabin noticed that the heat was not working properly. I called the emergency hotline number provided and a Heating and Air contractor came out at 10:30 that evening to address the problem. Prior to him arriving, your staff advised me that the heating unit was placed in an emergency heat mode , but I also informed them that the heat was actually blowing, but cold air was coming out. Nonetheless, it was fixed around 11pm that first night. Raymond from your office also came out that evening and gave space heaters to my guests in the event that the heat goes back out. Fast Forward to Saturday, January 12th; myself and guests were staying in the cabin all day to prepare for a seafood boil to celebrate one of the guests birthday and a 1 year anniversary.  To my surprise the food that I was prepping on the counter as well as the snacks we had out had holes in the packaging; with droppings from an unwanted house guest(a mouse). I spoke with Laura and was told you all could not do anything until Monday, but I check out on Sunday and there isn't anything that could be done, over the weekend do to upper management not being in the office. I asked could someone from your office bring us pizza due to the inconvenience and due to the weather forecast showing that it was 90% chance of rain and being that I'm not from the area I wasn't confident in my driving up and down the mountain. Laura placed me on hold and came back to let me know there wasn't anything that could be done because she didn't have the authority to make those kind of decisions, but to follow up on Monday, January 14th to speak with accounting so that you all could make the proper adjustments due to the loss of the food that we had to throw away. I had over 6lbs of crab legs, crawfish, shrimp, and other items that consist of a seafood boil that had to be discarded after seeing the mouse droppings and food that had been bitten by the critter. I am completely understanding and do appreciate your staff coming the first night to address our heating issue and even appreciate Raymond for making sure the guests that stayed in the lower level had personal heaters in the event the heat went back out. What I would like to address is the minor things that seem to be reoccurring in this cabin based off the recent reviews that other previous guests have written in the house memory book. First the gaming system that you all have displayed as a bonus, doesn't work and has not been working according to the two last reviews in the memory book. The pool table equipment needs to be replaced, the water pressure in all the rooms including the kitchen sink is slow. Our petroleum tank for our grill was empty, which Raymond took the first night and was told that one would be there by noon the following day (I had to speak with Laura twice Friday to ensure someone was coming and finally got the gas tank right around 4 pm). This cabin is a nice cabin and with the minor fixes could be an even better cabin. I would also suggest to have an exterminator on standby even on the weekends in the event that your cabins have an issue that requires their assistance. Laura was very apologetic and ensured me that I should follow up on Monday and something would be done. As I stated earlier, we all enjoyed our cabin experience minus the mishaps and for this being my first time renting through Bear Camp Cabins Rental; we would love to continue renting from Bear Camp for future trips once these issues have been addressed. We stayed in the mountain tyme cabin. Overall it was good but the place needs a SERIOUS deep clean. The bathroom on the bottom floor was not clean at all. There was dirt built up in the corners that has been there a while. There was still trash on the floor in the bedroom downstairs too. The wifi is horrible at best. Obviously we weren't going to the cabin to be online the whole time, but at the end of a busy day we would have liked to unwind for a bit with devices and it just wasn't possible. You can't even watch tv, so don't expect to get to do that either. I'd probably stay there again, but I'm hoping they'll start to really clean the place before each guest comes to stay! read more

I stayed at 1613 Pinewood Way (Strawberry Fields) rentals to me by Bear Camp Cabin Rentals for 4 nights. Gorgeous cozy little home perfect for a couple with a small dog. It was nessels in a perfect location with all of the amenities necessary for a quick getaway. Once we unpacked I decided to mop the floors. As I was lifting all the rugs from the bedroom and living room. I found that all of the rugs were saturated with old pet urine. Guess the cleaning crew cuts corners and was not washing the rugs. I totally understand that the cabin is a Pet friendly rental but I did not want to walk on across the rugs without shoes on let alone want my dog walking across them either. So my hubby and I have folded all rugs and placed they aside so we are not stepping on dirty rugs with old urine on them. I brought the issue to the Cabin rental service and took pictures. Especially since we paid a service fee to have the cabin professionally cleaned after we left as everyone else before us. The rental service did thank me for let them kno. read more

This is the perfect getaway retreat for a small family or romantic couple. The cabin is located atop a mountain for great views, while also being close enough to town to get supplies or enjoy an evening out. Our family went to Dollywood, and we found the cabin to be a close location to that and many other fun activities. The cabin itself was especially clean and well equipped with top-of-the-line appliances and comfortable beds. The hot tub, outdoor grill, and fire pit rounded out the cabin experience, and we will absolutely use this location again for our wilderness vacation. read more

Cabin Most unprofessional and rude "manager" I've experienced. We called to let them know the hot tub wasn't working, fireplace was out of order, kitchen sink heavily leaked and the restroom had a beyond sulfur smell that was nauseating. The highest positioned person said, "Is that all?" And she hung up on me when she was done. She stated I talked over her. Very defensive. We purposely picked a secluded cabin with a hot tub and fireplace listed as an amenity ... they wouldn't refund and didn't fix a thing while we were there. And there's more we didn't address, but should have. Sleeping was NOT comfortable with a fan off track loud and keeping me up and the master bed had a dip in the middle we kept from rollin into. Aside from the amenities, the cabin was beautiful and in a remote quite area in the mountains. However, I will NEVER stay with this company again. read more

Horrible Thanksgiving vacation experience. We were contacted 4 days in advance of our stay and told the washing machine was not working and we would have to travel to the office for clean towels for our stay. The day of check in we got our key code and upon entering the cabin we found tools and equipment throughout the cabin. We had to call the property office and were told that the cabin had mechanical issues and we would have to relocate to another location 15 miles out of the way to a house that was advertised at a lower rate than the cabin that we had paid for. The property might refused after several attempts to refund us the difference between the cabin we rented and the older house they relocated us to. It was a horrible experience and ruined the vacation for me and my family that came from different areas on the East coast. Renters beware. read more

It seems like the biggest complaint with this (and many other cabin rental companies in the area) is the outdated, poorly maintained cabins in which they rent to out-of-towners. I sort of get it, but also don't. You don't come to the Smoky's for pristine 5-star accommodations and turn-down service, you come because you want rustic, mountain living and East Tennessee wilderness. Yes, most of the cabins are old and outdated. Many have horrible 1970s/80s decorations and furniture, clad in wood and badly designed wildlife motifs, but honestly that is what is so charming about the area. They are all like that (for the most part). The wife and I love walking into a cabin that hasn't been updated in 1987 and just laughing with each other. However, I will say that the design of the cabin is not an excuse for non-functional equipment, electronics, hot tubs, etc. (And yes... it's the mountains, in the middle of the woods, and smack dab in the center of nature. There are bugs. Get over it.) Yes, the fees are also excessive when apparently they don't do much between visits. They require a lot of their renters when checking in/out, including garbage pickup, dish cleaning, sheet removal, etc. This is all ok for us as we aren't messy people and we generally don't have a lot of trash... we're out exploring the mountains and enjoying Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge offerings! We rented Sky Rider and were pleasantly pleased with our cabin, location, accommodations, and stay. The place was comfortable, beautiful, and well placed on the side of a gorgeous hill. The neighbors weren't too close, the TV was not ancient, and they even had recently installed wifi! (Good thing too, as we didn't get a cell phone signal in the cabin, so that was the only saving grace to keep us connected!) The hot tub was nice and the pool table area downstairs was fun to play. The only negative was the door handle on the side of the house was hard to figure out and when we arrived there was a tiny scorpion in the tub (I kid you not, I took a picture). We called the office and got the door handle figured out (the numbers were rubbed off the keypad), flushed the little scorpion down the toilet, and went along with our stay. Had a great time, enjoyed every second, even went to Dollywood, and can't wait to get back and support our East Tennessee mountain "second home" again very soon! read more

Overall we loved saying here. For it being right on the strip it stays fairly quiet. The rooms definitely need some updating and the only issue we had is how dirty the carpets were. But we had plenty of room and the kids having a separate room was nice. Would definitely stay here again. read more

Giving one star because zero stars isn't an option. Rented the general store cabin from bear camp cabin rentals and it was falsely advertised. It states central air too which there wasn't any on second floor. Also said 20 mins from Gatlinburg but was over 40 mins. It advertises a waterfall and outdoor fire pit area but these were actually at another cabin beside the general store. We arrived at the cabin to find it run down and dirty. the weeds were over a foot high in the yard, and two people in the waterfall behind the cabin naked and howling like animals. Inside the cabin, no central air as advertised and no curtains or shades on windows, which caused the people naked to stop and stare into the cabin looking at us inside. The shower upstairs had no privacy and anybody outside or on second floor would have to watch you dress. The wiring downstairs was open to the ceiling fan and several outlets were loose in the walls. I feel that the place is a fire hazard and dangerous for anyone to stay there. We called bear camp cabin rentals twice to no answer but left messages both times. We left and took family to hotel because I felt they were unsafe from the wiring and the people living in the neighborhood with no privacy to even close a curtain. The rental company called the next morning and we expressed our concerns and asked for a refund for Atleast second night and cleaning fee because we didn't stay either night but didn't expect first night refund. The agent on the phone was very combative and rude and said no refunds for any reason and hung up phone. I would not recommend any person to rent from bear camp rentals and especially the cabin called the general store. read more

Booked "The General Store" in Cosby, TN. This cabin was falsely advertised in every description online. It was a 40 minute drive from Gatlinburg when the listing stated 20. There is no central air in the cabin and only certain areas had a small ac window unit. No blinds or curtains on the first floor and no privacy. The shower on the third floor was exposed to the second floor and no privacy for anyone using it. The wiring in the cabin looked faulty. The "amenities" listed with the cabin like the waterfall and fire pit are not actually at the cabin but another cabin. When we arrived two people were swimming nude. They were howling like wolves and tromping around naked. Could not shield my children's eyes because as I stated there are no blinds or curtains. There is no cell service at this location and there are bullet holes on the stop sign at the road. When we called bear camp cabin rentals (twice on the emergency line) there was no answer. My family and I did not feel safe in this cabin so we left. We immediately got a hotel in Gatlinburg because we did not feel safe in this cabin. Bear camp cabins did not return our call until the next day at 10:30 am. They were extremely rude and disrespectful. I warn anyone and everyone from booking a cabin with this company as they do not care, are very rude to their customers, and falsely advertise their cabins. read more

When we arrived at the cabin, the water smelled putrid and metallic. We didn't feel comfortable drinking the water or taking a shower due to the smell and taste. We called the rental company and was told it was likely "well water", which we are familiar with and this was not that. They said they would send someone out, but they never did. The hot tub was not connected (or clean), but thankfully we had an engineer with us that could fix it since the rental company did not seem to care. We were told there would be no compensation for 24 hours without running/potable water for 13 people. I will not be renting from this company again. read more

As an owner, I entrusted my home/cabin to Bear Camp Cabins with a realistic vision of advancing my property with their promise of fostering a strong revenue, customer service, and advanced marketing technologies that would exceed what i could do on my own. If only this were true. I will not detail or disparage any particular person here as it will not serve the greater good, however what I can say is this; be very careful when choosing a partner for managing your property. Often it is not their abilities technologically, but their ability to be responsive, communicative in healthy ways, and proactive toward their owners. I experienced at 60% drop in revenue over about 100 days from inception of their management. When I requested clarity, communication, and assistance in discovering what could be done to improve, my requests were denied and blame was shifted in multiple directions. The most responsive they were was when I elected to dismiss them as my management company. Within 24 hours, I was released and they had shut down all operations. The irony of that response was not lost on me. I wish no one any malice or harm, but I will share my disappointment and concern for what otherwise could be a great company to work with in a great market for vacation rentals. read more

The cabin was adorable, clean and comfortable. It is located away from the hub bub of Gatlinberg and Pigeon Forge but. Lose enough to enjoy the many activities in both. Also, getting to the national park was super easy. The kids loved the air hockey table and the adults relaxed in the spa. The front porch, with rocking chairs, is a great place to just relax and unwind. The view is incredible. I only gave four stars due to some oddities we encountered. The description says "sleeps 6" which it does very comfortably. However, there are only 4 chairs for the dining table and only 3 forks; both these make sitting down for a meal extremely challenging. Also, we were instructed to put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it on departure, not a problem but with a 3 night minimum stay more dishwasher detergent needs to be available. It would be nice if extra lightbulbs were available as two burnt out while we were there (one over the dining table) which we had to purchase and replace. Finally, the wiring of the lights needs to be checked. In the upstairs bathroom one light was more of a strobe light and the light over the dining table would turn off randomly and we needed to tap or bump it to get it to come back on. We stayed at the Daya cabin. Very disappointed, would not recommend this place. Fireplace broken and not repaired until last night of 4, even though we called promptly. This cabin was NOT clean, we went over high touch areas and bannister, mantel were filthy. Had to rewash all the towels as they smelled like mildew. We were given 3.5 rolls of toilet paper (small cheap rolls) for 4 people for 4 days, and no paper towels yet we were promised one. Big rip in the old and thin bedspread. Cheap sheets. 3 chairs at game table downstairs and at table on deck, there were 4 of us. 2 tiny bars of soap per bathroom in what looked like Sweet n Low packets. I expected more for the price. Do not recommend Bear Cabin rentals. read more

Jet tubs are worthless, since there is no water pressure whatsoever, and tubs would take about 2 hours to fill. Fire pit was not worth the trip down, as it was dirty, chairs were overturned. Light over dining room table never worked. Bedroom light in loft stopped working on 09/05. Kitchen lights were beyond dim. Cover over ceiling fan (at roof) in living room is missing. Pool cue tip was broken (we didn't play, but Phillip checked it out). Kitchen had ONE towel and ONE washcloth. Bannister on stairs is very loose. Nails in deck sticking up - found that out by scraping feet on them in the dark. It would be nice if directions for washer/dryer were printed and laminated on inside of door, as there are no instructions on the unit itself. Had to dig the dustpan out from the floor on the side of the washer/dryer. Took a day to heat hot tub up to reasonable temperature. I emptied OLD cigarette butts out of all ashtrays - none of them had been cleaned. Driveway is beyond impossible/steep. An envelope AND a tip jar are a little over the top. Driveway is beyond impossible/steep. Under the recliner and sofa were filthy. Mattress in loft has a dip down the middle, top to bottom. Very uncomfortable. We've paid less for 3 nights in Gulf Shores, in a 1500 sq. foot, 2 bed. 2.5 bath condo, overlooking the beach. WITH FULLY stocked kitchen & baths, (Salt, pepper, oil, spices, zipper bags, saran, foil, etc. - extra kitchen towels, shampoo, conditioner, towels, soap, etc..) IN SEASON. For $2,500 + for 3 nights, you'd think that some of these issues would have been addressed. We won't be utilizing Bear Creek Cabins in the future. Thank you. read more

We stayed at Alpine Joy. The guests before us decided to leave a bunch of food next to the cabin so the first day we got to watch the bears. Unfortunately the hot tub was not clean and we were unable to use it but everything else was ok. We booked through Airbnb and Bear Camp Cabin Rentals were hosts for 12/21-12/24/2022 Buzzard's Roost. Was looking forward to a 4-day Christmas trip with my family and was highly disappointed by having to leave the reservation early sometime after midnight before our check-out. There were pros but too many cons and wouldn't recommend the cabin in winter weather. To start, "Bear Camp Cabin Rental" as hosts were responsive and helpful up until check in-day, then it varied. Prior to our stay they sent us a warning about possible inclement weather and additional directions we printed because they noted the GPS can go out and not get you directly to the house (which is true.) The day of check-in, it was after 3pm and we had not yet received the check-in door code, so I called them to receive it. Getting in late, we didn't realize how narrow/steep and high the numerous roads leading to cabin would be and how hard it would be to see house numbers/road signs. Our Google Maps stopped at a random location near cabin, the directions they gave us were from 3 different routes, and we missed the steep high road for our cabin; so we got lost and I attempted to call their after-hours line. The lady who answered immediately told me she couldn't help me but she'd have someone call us back. No one ever called us, we eventually found it. The cabin itself had great views and was nice for the most part. Mostly clean, we only found a dirty knife, the tub being rusty, and the gas grill not all that clean but we cooked inside anyways. I sent them a message during the 2nd day of our stay that they didn't respond to until after our check-out about something else. The best way to contact them was through phone calls. I called them to make note of the fireplace not working and the water having a very strong odor (not great to bath in.) They noted they would need to add something to the water filtration system after our stay along with the fireplace (after the stay.) The bottom half of the cabin got very cold (especially at night) and there were only 2 portable heaters to try and keep the 2 bedrooms warm but not the rest of hallway. Our 3rd day the electricity went out earlier that day around 10am, Bear Camp's instructions in the booklets was to call the electricity company using the house phone (the cabin didn't have a house phone) I called them but power came back in about 15-30 mins. Later around 6pm, the power went out again. The temperature had dropped to around 5 degrees F outside. When the electricity goes out the water/plumbing also stops working. We couldn't run water or flush toilets. We waited about an hr and then I called Bear Camp. They said it was just a blackout to save energy for the power grid, as they (Bear Camp office) had experienced one earlier in the day and that the power should come back on soon. I decided to call the Electrical company next and they said it was not a blackout but a power outage and the blackout should have occurred around 3pm and that Bear Camp should have informed us about it (they didn't.) With it being a power outage, they said they didn't know what time the power would come back on. The cabin next to us had an outage also. With no fireplace, cold temperatures (around 1 degrees), no running water, no back-up generator, no idea when we would get power; it got around 11pm when we decided to just pack up and leave. We decided to travel straight back after midnight and got home around 7am. The cold temps made me sicker and I ended up in urgent care by Christmas. Once home, around 9am (before check-out time) I filed a report and requested a partial refund through Airbnb as Bear Camp had never responded to the other message yet. Bear Camp had time to respond and never did, so AirbnB took over. Even after Bear Camp never attempted to reach out. It's a week later (1/1) and I still have a case open with Airbnb with no resolution as of yet or partial refund. read more

The location was great because it was only 1 block off the main road and you could not hear any road noise despite being in the middle of Pigeon Forge! A pleasant 2 bed, 2 bath kitchen cabin on stilts with ample parking underneath. Nice quaint neighborhood. The cabin was fully stocked and beautifully decorated. Only drawback was the dirty carpet. And the carpet was sloshing wet in the master closet with water coming from the ac unit. We called the rental company and they had maintenance out in 10 minutes! The problem was cleaned up and the gentlemen that came to the rescue were professional and courteous. We will definetly rent from Bear Cabins again! read more

Sky Rider was a beautiful cabin nestled in the curvy mountain roads. It had everything we needed for a great getaway with our two teen boys. The cabin was homey and comfortable, and the little details all throughout reflected the thought and care put into planning and decorating the home. They had lots of fun in the game room with the pool table and foose ball table. The view from each of the three decks was amazing. I started each morning by drinking my coffee and doing my daily devotional in a rocking chair with the birds singing. The location is very convenient to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! We were able to save lots of money on this trip by taking advantage of the attraction tickets offered through Bear Camp and Xplorie as well! It was so easy to redeem each offer- and there were no strings attached. Full disclosure- there were millipedes the first two nights of our stay but the rental company is very upfront about insects in the woods that make their way indoors. The cabin was beautiful as was the setting. It was exactly as described. However, the water had a terrible odor as it was well water! The smell wasn't just a little bad.......IT WAS HORRIBLE. Turning on the kitchen sink, caused the whole front part of the cabin to smell, and taking a shower was terrible. Who pays these prices for a vacation get away to have to shower in stinky water? Also, the master bathroom sinks were clogged. We contacted the office and they had someone come and treat the well. It was a little better but not good by any means. The sinks drained better but still very slow. After speaking to the manager, we were told the smell was due to increased rain water, and they are hoping to switch over to city water soon due to the many complaints. They reimbursed us $85 (which will take at least 30 days to receive) which is only half of the cost we paid per night. There should be a disclaimer stating the water smells like rotten eggs. This would definitely have altered where we would have stayed. read more

The cabin was beautiful and is in a great location with no steep or curvy roads to tackle. We visit the area often and stay in lots of cabins. This is by far a top favorite! The layout is great and fits my family of six just perfect. And kudos to the cleaning crew as this was one of the cleanest cabins I have ever stayed in. DO NOT BOOK A CABIN WITH BEAR CAMP CABIN RENTALS!!! We booked The Whitehouse from June 27 - July 1. As soon as we got there we were disgusted by the cleanliness of this unit or lack there of. The rental agreement states that the cabin is cleaned prior to arrival. There is ZERO chance that this happened. There was black hair all over the floors and beds. The bedspreads had fresh, wet stains all over them. One bedspread had what looked like possible urine stains. There was dirt on the walls and curtains. Although they offered to send someone to clean, it should have already been done prior to our arrival. Also, after a 9 hour drive, we wanted to relax- not wait for several hours to have it cleaned. The manager would not budge on refunding the $1500 we spent to rent this cabin. Both Bear Camp Cabin rentals and the owner of this unit should be ashamed of themselves! Their morals are definitely questionable. read more

Over all we were very satisfied with our rental. Calling this a "Cabin" is a bit misleading. It's an elevated house in a subdivision. That being said it was quiet and clean with nice parking area for our motorcycles. The bedrooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. The sleeper sofa was a worn and not very comfortable and the sheets and pillows were not very easy to find. There was a nice back deck but the railing was falling apart on the side and there were only 2 plastic chairs so it was mostly not useable. Overall it was a pretty good place to stay at a reasonable price. read more

The cabin was dirty. Dead flys everywhere, roaches, and other bugs. Dirty linens with hair. Dust everywhere. (See pictures) The appliances were outdated especially the TVs. No dust pan, old pots and pans, dishwasher was a hazard. Customer service at bear camp rentals was unfriendly and not helpful. You must leave the cabin clean even though it was dirty upon arrival. Stay somewhere else you'll be glad you did. Read below for a satirical review : Here at bug camp rentals we want to take care of you. If you are traveling alone to the smokey mountain bughouse there is a "friend package" included that consists of Dead flies, live roaches, stink bugs & other friendly creatures. If you want to enjoy the view from the porch just grab a glass of wine and a friendly raccoon will join you. He is potty trained as he only urinates and defecates on top of the spa. Don't worry if you have allergies as the linens are full of dirt and hair and the filters have inches of dust. You'll go back home without cash but you'll come home with a rash. Don't worry about bringing food just lift up one of the couch cushions and grab yourself a snack. No need to turn off any lights as the breakers will trip for you. There's also state-of-the-art appliances but remember to have your tetanus shot up to date if you're going to use the dishwasher, but on second thought don't as the dirty water will drip out. We have replaced all the flatscreen TVs with 1980 monochrome TVs. Remember to bring your VHS! Upon checkout remember to clean up the entire place, fix all electrical problems, fix any plumbing problems, and take the dead and live bugs with you too to avoid any additional fees. I contacted Pigeon Forge to get information on area businesses, fun stuff to do and possible coupons. I put 2008 on possible visiting times so I wouldnt be overwhelmed with information begging me to use their company. I get an email from this company stating "I have a couple of cabins available for the dates that you have requested". I didn't put dates on purpose and for a company to send a generic email specifically stating that they have stuff for my dates tells me they didn't even read the email. If they can't read an email for dates of visits,I don't believe they are going to give me any personal service when I am an actual customer. read more

While we had a great cabin "Bear Creek Falls Retreat", unfortunately, we will NEVER use Bear Camp Realty again!! To start, we were given the wrong instructions to locate our cabin, we were also given the wrong unlock code to access the cabin, and when we arrived, we realized that the advertised wireless internet was not functioning. After multiple calls and emails, we received no response back, no one came to check the cabin, and when I finally got in touch with someone they said there was nothing they could do about it and we would not be receiving a discount. While to some this may not be important, but to my husband who has to work on our trips, this was very inconvenient for my family. This was our first and our last encounter with this rental company. We wanted to relax in the mountains. We had a very favorable experience 10 years ago with my In laws and wanted a repeat. The mountains are beautiful. The cabin was just right for 4 people. We would have appreciated coffee filters, or been advised we should bring both coffee and filters. Would recommend updating to a Kurig. We wanted to enjoy the hot tub, but could not figure out how to raise the temp. Decided to forgo that. Be aware that this rental has a great view, because it is high up the mountain. Plan to drive in daylight. We did enjoy the pool table. read more
