My BFF and I came here after getting a latte down the street. We came to town to pick up a new bike. Well I am so glad we came in for a donut. First we were greeted quickly, even with a small line it went quickly. We decided on a cinnamon roll which was huge and one of the softest and tastiest I have had. Not the gooey sticky version you get out of a can, but the soft fluffy yummy tasty version you get from a donut shop. I am also so glad I put it in my bike bag and saved it. We rode our bikes 10 miles and about half way I really needed the roll and I am so glad I go it. So tasty. Also this may not be a huge location to sit and eat they do have a table or two for you to enjoy your pastry. I hope to come back again earlier so I can see the full selection. 10:30am on a Saturday I am sure a lot of the yummy options had already been purchased. A dozen or so donuts today for the customer's office. The young lady who put my box together was quick and efficient and friendly. At the office, the donuts went down a treat. I had a very small sliver of the cinnamon roll with peanuts. It was very good, very sweet and went well with coffee. They have a dining room area and a couple of regulars were here while my order was prepared. It's a nice spot with street parking right down by the river. I'm a fan of Bear Creek Donuts. What I like about this shop is that they offer more unique donuts compared to your average donut place. We stopped by here over the weekend before they were about to close. If you plan on doing this, be warned that they only make one big batch of donuts a day. Once they're out, they're out! Lucky for us, the still had a few donuts left. There were a lot of jelly donuts, some old fashioned ones, some donuts topped with fruit loops, and some big bear claws. We purchased a jelly donut and a donut topped with fruit loops. And since they had a yelp check in offer (free plain donut with check in), we got one of those too... Although the lady helping us didn't seem too happy with the yelp check in. When we got our donuts, I looked in the bag and was disappointed that they just threw all the donuts in. The jelly landed face side down. I took a bite of the donut with fruit loops on it. The icing made it too sweet, and I guess by the end of the day, the cereal pieces ended up being all stale. So, I just wiped all the icing and cereal pieces off the donuts and enjoyed it that way. The donut itself was good. It was a blueberry donut. The plain donut was good too. But now that I think about it, overall of their donuts are a lot smaller than your regular sized donut. The donuts here are about three inches around instead of them being four inches. Not counting the bear claws. (BTW I'm just guessing the measurements, I don't know the exact size of donuts, but the one here are smaller than your average donut). Or maybe we were left with just the tiny ones since we got there towards the end of the day. Who knows. The donuts were kind of good anyway so I'm giving them four stars despite everything that happened. read more

When we feel like indulging, we stop by Bear Creek Donuts! The donuts are delicious, of course, but a bit pricey so we don't stop in too often unfortunately. Having tried many different varieties and always picking at random ~4-6 donuts when we do stop in, they have always been amazing. This is because I think they have a smaller selection than some other local donut shops, but I think they're very consistent and have a very good selection. That's why I rolled with 5! I've been here before with one of my friends who is a Miamisburg native and he always really liked it however the last time I went I got something plain and it was still very good but nothing special. I really enjoyed the Reese donut I had. My daughter loved her sprinkle donut. I also really liked the blueberry donut with fruit loops on top, which surprised me. I cannot wait to head back and try more! For specialty donuts pricing was surprisingly good. The shop itself was hard to find if you are not familiar with downtown Miamisburg and the layout. The maple bacon was perfectly doughy with maple frosting that wasn't too sweet. Tasted a bit like a maple cream frosting. Blueberry cake donut was a bit dense but that's how cake donuts are. Wish there was a bit more blueberry flavor. There's plenty of seating to come and relax while eating your donut(s) and enjoying a cup of coffee. The donuts are fairly cheap too. I really enjoyed the glazed croissant and apple fritter - which is apparently a most as they won an award. They have both cake and yeast donuts. Love this little shop in the heart of Miamisburg. We don't go here super often, but when we do, it's a fun treat. Our little niece especially loves coming here and then taking a walk along the river.
