Someone from the original Schuler's from when I was growing up , has to have some connection to this lol . This donut spot is the best I have ever had in my entire life. I'll begin with these are some of the best apple fritters I've ever had. Bonus is that they make peach and cherry ones too every so often as specials. The people who work here are always pleasant and you can tell they do more than just work the counter as they tend to be covered in flour every time I stop by and get some donuts. They must wake up at 3-4a and start making the delicious all day(okay maybe to me they aren't just for mornings) treat. The reason for 4 stars is that ever since the nice folks from Bear Creek bought this store, the cost has risen a bit. Supporting local is definitely worth the trip. read more

So, my plan wasn't actually to visit this place, but to give Bill's Donut Shop a second chance after some backlash from a previous review I had written. Funnily enough, when I went to visit there, the place was closed, but I didn't see any notification online about it, which gives it another strike. However, I saw that The Donut Haus was still open during this time, so I went to visit it. Generally I don't visit donut places this late because you can never seem to get a fresh donut later in the day, so I was going to be more lenient with this review. I went in and the service was good, the person behind the counter was very nice. I got four donuts, a strawberry glazed, a chocolate glazed cream filled, a peanut butter cup donut, and a fruity pebbles covered cream cheese blueberry cake donut. That last one blew my mind, so of course I had to get it. I will say that the donuts were still good despite coming in the late afternoon. The cream was alright and the glazes on all the donuts were nice. The only beef I had was the odd combo of the last donut I mentioned. All components were good on their own, the cereal was fresh, the cream cheese was good, and the blueberry cake was alright, but together, they just didn't work for me. Still, I would suggest coming here over Bills Donut Shop any day. read more

Super solid donuts! And I'm a tough critic! Originally went to Bills Donuts in Dayton but they were sold out of what we wanted - apple fritter and a sour cream donut so we stopped here. The sour cream was near perfect. 10/10 on texture with the crispy outside and soft inside. Flavor was 9/10 and I only say that bc I've had one that was a smidge better but I would def stop here on the reg for that donut. The apple fritter didn't appear to have the crisps nooks and and crannies like we want but it was actually better than we expected! It did have a crisp and the perfect apple flavor! I would give it 9/10. Another SOLID choice! Would just like a few more hard nooks. Wasn't impressed with the cinnamon roll, a little dry but I had it like 8 hrs later and not heated up. Our favorite donut shop around! My husband and I often stop in and pick 5-6 donuts to share over the next few days and have always loved them all. Our favorite is the old fashioned sour cream, best around! Also love the Apple fritter and today their iced croissant (wish I took a picture!) The staff is extremely friendly and always happy to help. I often ask if they have any specials and they have something new in the back to share. Stopped in early Sunday morning, around 9am and it was crowded. Waited in my car a bit for it to clear out, but inside is very large so people can space out safely. They also keep the door cracked, so that helps when it is crowded for ventilation. Every has masks on and employees always changing out to clean gloves between guests. read more
