The car was defiantly pulling hard to the left once I let go of the steering wheel. That's what lead to the " I need an alignment" I made the call to Bear/Bay. Kevin greeted me and told me what they would do for basically $90. Ok that's about what I expected, he said the car should be ready in an hour. No sooner had I got in the door from the walk home the phone rang. Kevin says "it's worse you need a tire" He said the tread was separating from the core. Wow I drove nearly 900 miles on that tire. Kevin quoted me on some brand name tires but was more than I wanted for the "fix". So back to the shop, Kevin said after he had discovered the issue with the left tire tread separation he switched the left and right tires and the bad left tire now on the right side of the car made the car pull right. In a sense proving it was not an alignment issue but a tire issue, definitively. He could of course chosen another solution but he was truthful and that scores big with this Elite Yelper. Last week he brought in our family van for some "new" tires and paid $600. Found out the manufactured date is October 2021. That same day we noticed the steering wheel would shake vigorously past 60mph. Took it back and was told it needed new front bearings for $900!!! Didn't seem right so we brought it to another shop and come to find out, it wasn't the bearings at all! These guys put a bunch of extra weights on our brand new tires which caused it to shake!! Got the tires balanced from a legit shop and now it runs smooth as it should! Come to think of it, we have 1 vehicle that no longer runs and two others with issues that these guys probably messed up! Thankfully nothing traumatic happened while driving our van with our children in it! Do not trust this business Los Osos!

Certainly the sign of a good place whether it's a restaurant, car repair or a bar. I linked onto the site and followed along until I found the spot to make a reservation. Now the question was asked "leave car" or I'll wait". I chose leave the car and no reservations were available for a few days so...I backed up and chose I'll wait an available times popped up for tomorrow... Okay tomorrow 9:45 that would work. I arrived for my appointment a bit early, Jaedon was in the office and he logged the car in and said he'd call when it was ready, cool. So I left to do my work out and walk and a couple hours later I saw the missed call and a text to pick up my car, wow. Now he had told me the service fee and I thought that was a bit high and yes that price included the smog certificate. Once I was back in the office, (they have a great little waiting room just behind the shop) Jaedon reviewed the inspection they had done on the car and the washed my car too. A good shop will wash your car, that was cool. Everything was in good order, the car passed the smog test. I ordered the filters and wiper blades that needed replacement from the big A and saved a couple bucks. WOW!! My car has…read morehad trouble starting for the past several months intermittently; we replaced the alternator, battery, terminal... caps? whatever holds it in place. And never a solution that lasted very long. We kept wondering if it was the starter, and our suspicions were confirmed after my car had issues starting again this morning. We were turned away from a different shop, but a quick call confirmed that Wimmer's could help us out. We arrived around 12:45 and ended up picking our car up at about 5pm - they were able to switch out the starter and complete an oil change, they even gave me a complimentary exterior wash! Altogether it ended up around $900 including the diagnostic and the VERY thorough multipoint inspection. I'm so appreciative of the whole team, they really hustled to make sure that we could have our car back before they closed and it truly means so much.

The problem was that my car had not been driven much since I had obtained a new battery. One of my neighbors suggested Wrona's, as a superior auto repair place in San Luis Obispo. It is! Found out it was woman owned business, although her name is not Wrona. They figured out the cause of the emission testing issue, even doing some of the necessary driving to fix the errors the car put up which were preventing the testing. But that was last summer, today in February, I called because my new IPhone 16, would not synch with the old car, or vice versa. The young man, one of the young men who mans the front desk, answered the phone, suggested coming at noon, he fixed it in about 2 minutes, charged me nothing. He even remembered me and my car. Now, even my map directions, which were often flaky with my old iPhone, worked perfectly.

After getting the transmission fixed, I called to make an appointment. The person who answered stated the shop was really busy and to call in 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, I called and made an appointment. A few days later, a person from the shop called and said they were not going to work on my vehicle because the mechanics were older guys and they didn't want to work on an older model truck. I get the reason why they didn't want to work on the truck but felt they should have explained this to me in the first place instead of giving me the run around. My suggestion is if you have an older vehicle, go elsewhere.
