I had issues with my car for awhile , just couldn't quite fix it our selfs ( is the newer diesel technology in it) we were referred by my mother in law , who happened to know the owner from her college days and spoke highly of him. We called made an appointment, was able to drop the car off days prior to the appointment in case they could to it sooner ( since it had to be trailed ) very nice front desk guy upon drop off! Within 2 days we got a call, they had it fixed, and they wanted to drive it some more so they felt 100% it was going home perfect! Long story short, when picking up car , very nice gentleman at the front desk ( different one from before). I'm so beyond thankful for a shop and crew that is confident in their work! They are very fair with their prices to their customers, for the price we paid to fix my car I would have paid that over and over again! And Trust me I've had my fair share of bad shop experiences and mechanics/ businesses that really don't care about your vehicle and just want the money ... but this shop is 100% at your best interest! They gained a customer who will keep coming back in the future & will continue to spread the word of the amazing standard this shop holds

I had already tried this at another repair shop which features in ads their ability to perform these, they couldn't, and didn't seem like they even knew why. The problem was that my car had not been driven much since I had obtained a new battery. One of my neighbors suggested Wrona's, as a superior auto repair place in San Luis Obispo. It is! Found out it was woman owned business, although her name is not Wrona. They figured out the cause of the emission testing issue, even doing some of the necessary driving to fix the errors the car put up which were preventing the testing. But that was last summer, today in February, I called because my new IPhone 16, would not synch with the old car, or vice versa. The young man, one of the young men who mans the front desk, answered the phone, suggested coming at noon, he fixed it in about 2 minutes, charged me nothing. He even remembered me and my car. Now, even my map directions, which were often flaky with my old iPhone, worked perfectly.

I believe I paid for a service that was either not performed properly or not performed at all…read more When I bought my car, another shop noted that the brake fluid was brown and needed replacement. I put it off for over a year before finally bringing it to this shop earlier this year specifically for a brake bleed. I even supplied my own premium DOT 4 brake fluid. I understood there would be no warranty because I provided the fluid. A few months later, in May, I returned for a full safety inspection. Their own inspection showed that the brake fluid was green/brown and in poor condition--the exact same problem I had paid them to address. At that point, I called and left a voicemail explaining that from my perspective it looked like the reservoir may have simply been topped off while I was charged for a full brake service. I told them I would gladly listen if there was a legitimate explanation. The explanation I received was that a brake bleed "doesn't change the fluid, it just removes air." That statement raised even more questions. Brake fluid exits the system during a bleed. New fluid is added during the process. Yet somehow, after paying for the service, the fluid condition was still reported as poor. The proposed solution was even worse. Rather than standing behind the work or explaining why the fluid was still contaminated, I was offered another brake fluid exchange for over $200. In other words, after already paying once to address the issue, I was being asked to pay again. I'm a college student. I don't have money to throw away on services that fail to solve the problem they were supposed to solve. What bothered me most was not even the money--it was the complete lack of accountability. If your brake fluid is discolored and you are paying this shop to address it, keep your receipts and verify the results afterward. I did, and the paper trail speaks for itself. Based on my experience, I have serious doubts about the value and quality of the brake service performed here, and I will not be returning.

Around 2008 I had nailed a job and was livin' sweet in Jesse Jesse Jame's hideout... yeah mates , my new chosen country was guid to me. Then I found out that all the cars here get SMOG checked, after using the 'bush telegraph' I got recommended to the service's of Templeton Smog & Service. I was havin' a nosey magpie at this bloke who was repairing a coupla dozers and his son a WW2 chevvy truck... ancient... and he was getting parts for these projects... I mean really hard to get stuff.... from Templeton Smog & Service.... my immediate thought was... anyone who can rat these parts is hooked up.... he also said if you have any problems go see them, Anthony is very cluey in matters mechanical.... it turns out he was spot on. For seven years my wife ran the grade as a nurse to SLO.... Templeton Smog & Service kept my wife safe and the car in top running order. Here's something you get in the service.... old school....the auto went "ratty"...... 3 grand or more..... ????? ... was not feeling the best... so I took the car in for the boys to check it out....Anthony solved it for me for $234 out the door... seems out in the paddocks 'o' paso, the ground squirrels crawl up for the warmth as the car cools down... or the shelter... well they had made a meal of a wiring loom that fed the auto and the chip....whaddya reckon ? .... you can see why they get all of my business....there would be more than a dozen more instances of much merit & savings to me, very hard to find in this fickle world. I was a part time checkstand clerk at the time and my wife had retired....both of us senior citizens, fixed income. Unfortunately, their customer service has been consistently terrible. My Jeep was towed from San Diego and left in a parking lot next door that was easily accessible from the dealership. Instead of moving it themselves or allowing it to be pushed the short distance, they made me have it towed all over again to their lot -- an unnecessary and frustrating hassle. On another occasion, they kept my car all day with no resolution and called me just 30 minutes before closing. I couldn't get there in time, leaving me stranded without a car. Another time, I was late dropping off my car because I had to take my child to school. They held onto the car all day and didn't service it, using my late drop-off as an excuse. Just today, I dropped off my Jeep for a rattle. It took three weeks to get the part, only for me to be told at 2:30 pm that they received the wrong part! It's clear they don't prioritize their customers at all. As a local business woman, I even created discount coupons to offer customers waiting for their cars a chance to enjoy a bite and drink nearby. Yet, no one has ever received a coupon, and when I asked service personnel about them, they didn't even remember the coupons existed. I wish there was another place in San Luis Obispo to take my Jeep under warranty, but unfortunately, there isn't. This dealership's lack of care and professionalism has made me seriously reconsider my loyalty.
