    His and hers ebikes.

My wife and I were in the market for ebikes. Searching on the internet there was a limited supply. Derek and the gang at Bear Valley Bikes went the extra mile to find top of the line bikes for my wife and I. Derek was able to provide a great deal on my bike. My wife's bike size was hard to fine but after an extensive search, Derek was able to find one in Colorado. I purchased the bike and had it shipped to Big Bear. Derek did a custom build to personalize the bike for my wife. Derek only made a couple of bucks on the accessories on my wife's bike. It turned out great and we were able to ride our bikes sooner rather than later.Derek may have lost a bike sale but he gained two customers for life. Thanks Derek. Lyndi and Reggie L.

DO NOT RENT BIKES FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I rented two bikes with my boyfriend here are 9/28/19. We rode the bikes for less than 2 minutes before going down a hill on one of the easier trails near the lake. When I first went down the hill, the BRAKES DID NOT WORK AT ALL. I ended up flying about 15 feet into a ravine, and had to be rushed to the emergency room. I came out with a concussion, FRACTURED tibula, and a meniscus tear. So when I say that the breaks didn't work, I mean it. I was seriously injured, and unfortunately this company doesn't seem to care, which is the real tragedy. My boyfriend signed a waiver and I did not. Second, the instructor allowed me to sit on the bike, but he did not instruct me to "ride it down the street" to make sure it was functioning properly. Being my very first time EVER renting bicycles, I did not even know this was a standard procedure. Your employees were negligent in instructing me to safely use this bike and were only concerned about receiving my boyfriend's signature. The biking company still charged my boyfriend $100 for the bike rental that lasted 2 minutes and the damages. I am in disbelief this such a negligent company can provide bikes that do not have basic working mechanics- like a break. When I called and asked about how they could help, they said they would not do anything. Irresponsible and have zero care for the safety of your very own customers. I am in crutches and cannot work, move, bend properly because of a faulty break system. I can only post photos of the injuries to me face because the injuries to my abdomen is too severe for Yelp. Please be cautious of this negligent company because the worst part is they still made him pay the $100 when he was trying to rush me to the hospital. Absolutely appalled that you can treat people this way

Purchased a Cannondale FSI 3 from here. Since the day of purchase I have not been able to put the bike down haha. Drove from the Northridge area to Big Bear to look at other great bikes he had but fell in love with this beauty. Derek was super cool and informative which I greatly appreciated since this was my first bicycle. Derek and Sam were very detailed, friendly, and had great positive vibes. I did not feel pressured what so ever like I have felt in other bike shops I've been too. My whole experience from stepping in the shop and riding out was wonderful. I will be recommending this shop to all of my friends and will be returning for my future cycle related purchases.

Great bikes for a great price. My bike had an issue with the chain slipping. I told the owner who then lectured me on changing gears under power. I tried telling him that it was slipping with out me changing gears, but he kind of tunnel visioned on operator error. The bike tech tested it, admitted it wasn't tuned properly. I had a great ride after that. Would have been full five stars if I felt I was being heard. I would return!

My family and I aren't pros when it comes to biking but this little shop has the best staff and well maintained bikes. All the bikes we rented (a total of 10) were in perfect condition. Will definitely rent here on our next biking adventure!

I called Paddles and Pedals in the morning to inquire about a same day bike rental. They…read moreconfirmed they had availability and we made our way over. Our party was one adult and two kids. The bikes they brought out were the perfect size for each person in our group and they provided helmets. It was about $16/hour for the bike rental. Upon arrival we were helped immediately. From arrival, to waiver signature, and getting on bikes took about 10 minutes. You will need an ID as they hold it until you return with payment. The location is on the north shore and it is easy to find. There was plenty of parking and it's right next to an RV Park with a little liquor store in case you forgot anything. If you didn't bring a drink, pick one up as I did not see any water fountains or bottle fillers on the bike path. The paved bike path is right across the road and it is easy enough. There are some hills, not bad, but not completely flat. You can always walk the bike up if needed. You can ride all the way down the north shore which is mostly undeveloped and absolutely beautiful. We packed a backpack with sandwiches and stopped along the way at picnic tables to eat lunch. Keep in mind for you, your kids, and pets, that it's a little harder to exercise/breathe at high altitudes. There are a few benches to stop and rest as well as a few paths down to the lake. The trail is shared with other bikers, walkers, runners, and a few folks walking dogs. Everyone we encountered was respectful. I knocked one star down because I thought $100+ for one adult and two kid bike rentals for less than 2 hours was a little steep. However, we loved our time on the bike path. The exercise was great and the north shore is beautiful. The trees and lake took our breath away. We will return soon.
