She is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have seen her demonstrate nothing but compassionate care! The physicians here are very nice and helpful as well! The chiro dr is amazing! I feel like this place is more than healthcare, it's a friendly atmosphere with really friendly individuals! They treat worker's compensation cases as well as being an urgent care! One stop shop if you will! For those who've had a bad experience, some insurances are not accepted so check your insurance card or call before you make a trip in. As far as the wait goes, yes it can be a bit long, but there are so many people coming here for care with limited rooms! Be patient! Give them a break!

I am BEYOND disappointed with the care my fiance received. Someone who doesn't like going to the…read moredoctors, I convinced him to go to this urgent care because they're usually quick, attentive to what's wrong & no issues with filling prescriptions. Just for him to have the exact opposite experience. Very Disappointing. 1) we waited 3 hours just for him to get seen by a doctor over a video chat. ( absolutely a waste of gas, he could've stayed home and done a video call with a dr had we known that's how it's going to be for a " in person" visit. But no have him be sick in a waiting room, with children, spreading germs to the lobby to see a doctor over video on a tablet....) 2) Uncomplimentary Front Desk employee, didn't get her name, white with glasses. She needs to step up her customer service skills. Receptionist shouldn't act bothered when patients are directed by the back staff to come to her after they're seen to disclose a pharmacy. My fiancee & mine personal phones were dead, so we couldn't look up exact addresses for the pharmacy. she didn't send his medication to the right place, instead of helping she wants to go back and forth with me on what Walgreens exist & refuses to look up what addresses they have, which I find silly as she sits in front of a computer screen that I can almost guarantee has access somehow to locate a pharmacy. Hopefully she reads this, that's not a professional look being argumentative with anybody especially in front of a lobby full of patients. So his meds got sent to one in Hesperia we told her Victorville & provided the cross streets and zip code ( it gets better, it doesn't stop here with the pharmacy situation) 3) I had to call in the afternoon to see if they sent the meds, I call, a male answers to say " ah I was just about to call you to confirm what pharmacy as we didn't get a pharmacy on file" Excuse me? Lol. How?.... Probably because of that graceless receptionist working at the time, that's a good assumption. 4) Walgreens finally calls to tell us his prescription is delayed due to insurance, I call them back to be told " we only filled one prescription, because it looks like the others got sent to queens" Answer this Meridian, why is a pharmacy informing us that his meds are at two different places? Shouldn't we have been informed by Your urgent care first? Queens never called either. We would've never found out. 5) it is now going on 6 pm. I call meridian again to see what's going on with his medications. Just for them to have no idea why it got sent to two different places, and they couldn't even figure out what queens pharmacy. The gentlemen over the phone did say he'd try to submit it to Walgreens even though queens already processed 2 of his meds. We both very much appreciate his effort, if he did try even though My fiancé is sick and needs meds and now has to wait another 8-12 hours until he can get the rest of his meds.

Her right leg below the knee and the remaining great toe were removed. She was having hallucinations, incredible confusion, and somewhat combative responses. Over the past 12 months, she has had a PIC line 6 times, obviously not killing the MRSA, hence the amputations. She continued to get worse the longer she was on this latest round. I kept saying the anabiotics seem to cause some actions not at all like her and she's kept saying her stomach hurt. So, Kaiser does a CT that says mile Alzheimer's, short term memory loss, but puts her on a med to treat schizophrenia, never notifying any family members, or did they just tell my psycho sister with short term memory loss. Like we are talking 42 phone calls, counted them, asking where she was how did she get there and why? 42 in 3 hours, but Kaiser ditches her, after only 2 rounds of physical therapy. We were told that she can't live alone again. She gets transferred to the Apple Valler Acute Care Center. They ask me if she had any mental issues. I said OCD and Bi-Polar. They ask about the schizophrenia. Mom & I were shocked & said never. I asked why. She said well the other evening, she saw puppies coming out of the walls. Last night, she was asking them why they couldn't see the blood running down the walls, and BHO & FJB gave her a bath, she said it was nothing sexual, but she knew it really happened. I was in shock, went in to see her and she went entirely ballistic, however she knows I signed the transfer paperwork. She looks at me and asks me to tell her the truth, did she have some sort of psychotiic breakdown because she thinks she is going insane, and she is terrified. Shortly thereafter, like Linda Blair in the Exocist, head spinning & green stuff coming out. She was vile. We had to leave as she kept trying to stand up. It is important to note, that She has not walked 26 days. The "Care Center" gave her 4 sessions of PT. All she can do is get to a standing position from the bed with a walker. She cannot even pivot, much less do a safe transfer. They have made her use a bed pan because she falls. I went home that night and Googled the antibiotic Vancomycin induced psychosis. It states that it can rarely cause neurotoxic effects including hallucinations, confusion and acute psychosis. Most commonly occurring in patients in kidney failure, where she is at stage 3. I called and asked them not to give her anymore, call the doctor. Mind you, they are contracted with Kaiser and have a Kaiser doctor assigned to them. They tell me they can't do this, the only way is to transfer her to St. Mary's in Apple Valley and they would transfer her to Kaiser in Fontana. Mom gets there and they have checked her into the ER. They take her back and do bloodwork, their diagnosis is that she had mild short term memory loss & get with her primary care doctor, and arranged for transport. I was flying up the Cajon Pass when I get a call from AMR. They were dispatching a transport call from St. Mary's to her home. Kaiser is supposed to provide a wheelchair & walker and take care of safety features. She is a retired 37-year Kaiser employee. She has nothing. The plan was to drop, literally drop her off at her home. I refuse the transfer & doing 85-90 mph, I fly into the ER after enough security checks I thought a body cavity check was needed. I had called Apple Valley Acute "Care Center" and ask if they have a transfer order. She innocently answered, "well, I do have a note not to accept her back at all tonight and tomorrow morning, I don't know why." I wonder why Kaiser and the "Care Center" don't want her, she's acting psychotic. Why the HELL do they not consider the source, when I ask them to please contact a doctor, she is having a rare but ENTIRELY possible psychotic reaction to her antibiotics... St. Mary's said she was safe to be released. Did I mention she has no prosthetic leg. She just had the stitches removed. Apparently, when they were told that we refused to accept her at home due to that not being a safe transfer. We asked for her to be sent to Kaiser. The "Care Center" apparently were forced to take her back. Heck, they sent everything she had with her and had checked her out. They had no intention of taking her back. I called the "Care CENTER" this morning. All of the staff were in a meeting, but they would call me back. I had an appointment I had to go to, so I said ok. After 4 hours... I thought maybe they would have been setting up things with Kaiser, etc. I call, nope, can't even get with anyone in upper management. I have taken the information to contact the state board. I will file this with Kaiser. I will post this everywhere I can. I called her Primary Care doctor just before 5 last evening. I was told someone on her "Care Team" would reach out by end of day today, which is in 3 minutes..

My visit with Kandin Maraquin at MedCove Urgent Care in Upland was one of the most unprofessional…read moreand upsetting medical experiences I have ever had. I went to urgent care because I had pulled a muscle from excessive coughing. I had strained the back of my neck, had soreness in my chest area, and developed a sharp pain in my side. The pain had been present for several days, and I simply wanted a medical evaluation and possibly medication to help with the discomfort. Instead, what I received was fear, panic, and emotional trauma. Within minutes of speaking to Kandin Maraquin, I was told that I was having a heart attack. Not that it needed to be ruled out. Not that there was concern. I was told I was having a heart attack and needed to go to the ER immediately. If I did not have transportation, I was told an ambulance would be called. I was completely blindsided. What was most alarming was how quickly this conclusion was reached. I felt like he immediately jumped to the worst possible scenario without taking the time to properly evaluate me, ask additional questions, or perform a thorough examination. The entire interaction felt rushed, dismissive, and lacking any level of compassion. I was there less than 10 minutes.. His bedside manner was nonexistent. There was no reassurance, no empathy, and no concern for the emotional impact of what he was saying. It felt as though frightening a patient was of no consequence. I was visibly upset, terrified, and in tears, yet there was no attempt to calm me down or explain things in a professional manner. I left that office genuinely believing I was having a heart attack because of how aggressively and confidently it was presented to me. Even after an EKG at the office, did not indicate that I was having a heart attack, I was still sent to the emergency room. Out of fear, I followed the instructions and spent approximately eight hours in the ER. The outcome? No heart attack. No cardiac emergency. No life-threatening condition. The emergency room physicians determined that my symptoms were consistent with pulled and strained muscles caused by excessive coughing, including the muscles in my neck and chest area. After hours of fear, tears, anxiety, and emotional distress, I was told exactly what I suspected from the beginning. I understand that medical providers must be cautious when chest pain is involved. What I do not understand is how a healthcare professional can communicate in such an alarming, insensitive, and unprofessional manner. There is a significant difference between saying, "I want you evaluated further to be safe," and telling a patient they are having a heart attack before a thorough evaluation has been completed. No patient should leave a medical office traumatized. No patient should leave feeling like they were treated as an inconvenience. No patient should leave in tears because of the way a healthcare provider chose to communicate. My personal impression was that the situation was handled with poor judgment, poor communication, and a complete lack of empathy. I left feeling that my concerns were not thoughtfully evaluated and that the provider was more interested in rushing me out the door than actually treating me. Patients deserve professionalism, compassion, and careful communication. Unfortunately, I experienced none of those things during this visit. This experience was frightening, unnecessary, and completely unacceptable. I would never return to this provider, and I sincerely hope management reviews how patients are being treated because no one should walk into an urgent care for a pulled muscle and leave believing they may be dying.
