We are fortunate to live nearby and have now been here several times! The Big Tom and the Hot Rod are favorites from the menu. I customize my own with turkey and a few other items, and the quality of the turkey is top notch. Definitely better than you would get at a sandwich shop. Quality ingredients for sure. Bagels are not made fresh in restaurant as someone stated. I personally saw the bags of bagels sitting on the shelf. Not sure who makes them. They steam their bagels which are good, not great. Service is slow. We ordered one bagel with cream cheese and one breakfast sandwich. No one was there when we walked in. Thought we'd get in and out but about 20 minutes later we finally got our order. To be fair they were working on another order but it wasn't a huge order ( must have been a call ahead order). One had one person making the food and one person taking orders. Might give them another try. read more

Welcome to the neighborhood, Bearded Bagel!!! I cannot say enough good things about our first trip here- quite possibly the best sandwich I've ever had. EVER. I've had steamed bagel sandwiches before, but Bearded Bagel takes it to a whole new level. I opted for the sorority sister on my first visit.. it was generously stuffed with fresh turkey, avocado, cheese, tomato, cream cheese, and honey mustard. Be fair warned, you're going to want a lot of napkins and you'll make a bit of a mess, but you'll leave daydreaming about your lunch for weeks. We've visited the food truck - and hosted the food truck- and will continue to support the food truck - because its fun! But visit the just opened restaurant on 96th St in front of Sams Club! Very rude didn't make my bagel the way I asked for it to be made. Told me they couldn't give me a side of chipotle cream cheese. I also asked that my bacon be crispy and they told me okay. I get home and the bacon is barley cooked all the way through. I called and told them what they did and they told me that that's how there bacon is made. If that were the case they should have told me that when I asked them to make sure it's crispy. They didnt apologize or anything just told me thank you and hung up. read more

Had a bacon/cheese/egg sandwich and was disappointed. The sandwich had been steamed, therefore, rendering the bagel chewy and too moist. The price was also rather high. I can't speak about the bagels in general since mine was a sandwich, but I won't be back to give them another try based on this experience. read more

This place is the bomb. I've been there a couple times and loved everything I tried. Took my wife and kids on Saturday and they agreed with me. It is hard to find a place with completely customizable bagel sandwiches, but this place does it well for a reasonable price. With choices for meat, veggies, cheese, and sauce as well as lunch/breakfast sandwiches available at the same time, this bagel place is great for even the choosiest of eaters. The bagels usually come out fairly quickly, but ours took awhile this morning due to how many people were in front of us. It was hopping - but the tasty freshness of the sandwich made it well worth the wait!! I am all for supporting small businesses but I don't ever want a dime of my money going to the owner of this business. I witnessed the owner yelling at a customer for not knowing where the pick-up order sign was. The employees clearly were annoyed with the owner. Totally out of line for the owner. Then the food was mid at best. The biscuits and gravy tasted disgusting and the bagels themselves tasted like plastic. I never want to support a business ran by a guy that puts himself on a pedi stool above the customers. read more

Steamed bagel sandwiches! Very tasty. I have tried a lot of the sandwiches. My favorites are the hangover helper, the slammin' sammy, the silver fox, and the Vince Vaughn. All great. I'm a big, hungry dude and one sandwich is more than enough -- it will fill you up. I can't agree with other folks recommending the biscuits and gravy. The texture is great, but the taste is off. I've ordered it twice, thinking maybe the first time was a fluke and I was just in a weird mood. Nope. Tastes like some kind of soup or chicken stock for some reason. Really not what I was expecting. Also, the turkey they use in their sandwiches is a bit dry. I had to add mayo from my own fridge to mitigate the dryness. Apart from my minor criticisms, this is still a great place to get a tasty bagel sandwich. Just don't expect the best B&G or turkey. read more
