    Frozen bagels to go
    Dani J.

This was my first visit to this location, but I have tried the sandwiches at the 96th St location. Same quality, same great service. I try a different sandwich every time, and I have not been disappointed yet. All have been yummy. This visit I tried the breakfast Hangover Helper sandwich because the cashier said it was her favorite. It comes on an everything bagel and includes chipotle cream cheese, bacon, egg, pepper jack, smoked Gouda, and provolone. It was very flavorful and packed full of cheese. I did ask for no egg. The taters are always a good time! They give you a large portion. The huge sandwich and tots are a very filling meal. This location is a bit smaller than the 96th location and is carry out only. They also offer frozen bagels, drinks, and many bagel and sandwich options as well. Thank you Yelp and Bearded Bagel!

Diverse menu for breakfast and lunch steamed bagel sandwiches and plain bagels. No kids menu. Very small space! No seating. Order of 5 bagel sandwiches took quite awhile. So I'd suggest ordering ahead and picking up. Food was just okay. My kids did love the tater tots.

I picked up Bearded Bagel for my husband for breakfast and his words were - "10/10." The Hangover Helper was so good especially with adding tomato l, I definitely wouldn't shy away from throwing your own customizations on because these bagels meant business. We can't wait to come back! The service was fantastic and while the shop seemed busy, it definitely wasn't that bad of a wait. Love the local support and the food truck parked out front, such a fun idea and looking forward to seeing them out in the community!

Bearded bagel is always so good! Staff is friendly, food is delicious. Can't ask for more than that!

Phenomenal!!!! This was the first time I have seen a bagel sandwich truly properly executed. It was perfectly balanced with flavor and exceeded all expectations! Like most great sandwiches it did get messy but that was well worth the depth of flavor! On top of that the bagel itself gives every other great bagel shop a run for its money! It would be a strong competitor against any great East Coast bagel!! This location is just counter service does not have any place to eat inside. Staff were friendly.

It might be a little beard envy, but I'm pretty sure this is the best breakfast bagel sandwich I've ever had. I had a steamed Bulldog Breakfast bagel with plain cream cheese - perfectly soft, exceptional flavors, and just the right amount of kick with the jalapeño bagel and pepper jack cheese. Online order process was so smooth, and the pickup was quick and easy. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Only "complaint" is that as a bearded fellow, I needed some moist towelettes instead of napkins. Y'all should know better! Also good to know - there is no seating or restrooms here, so plan to eat in the car or elsewhere. And if you're a messy eater for real, be near a sink or plan ahead with some better cleanup options. It's good but a tad messy!

On a whim we drove up to the Lawrence location this morning. We were a little surprised it was strictly carry out but we're fine. The person taking our order was great. Friendly & helpful. My awesome wife had a half order of the biscuits & gravy. She felt it was kind of bland & needed salt. I had the Perry which is a ham, egg& cheese on a plain bagel. It was fine. Nothing spectacular. We split an order of the tater tots. It too was cooked well but you could get the same at home. Overall it was fine but not great. 2 other notes No public bathroom there This location has bottled drinks but NO coffee for those that need some Java plan on another stop.

Started a new job this summer and happen to stumble across a new bagel place called Bearded Bagel. Unfortunately not every guy has a beard in here but they sure do know how to properly make a bagel they were all very attentive ready to take your order as soon as you walked in the door. When I go to dunkin I always get burned bagels that taste so bad, but here I bit into my bagel and it was soft with the perfect amount of crunchiness. The set up was very nice, but I feel they need music to set a really nice tone inside. I waited only about 5/6 mins for my bagel and then I was on the way. This business definitely deserves their 5 stars, this was a 10 out of 10 experience for me and I would recommend it to everyone! ****THEY EVEN HAVE VEGETARIAN OPTIONS!!

Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in awhile.

I had the southwestern salad with buffalo chicken. It had corn and tortilla strips (which I left off), black beans, cheddar cheese, tomatoes and bleu cheese dressing. It was super fresh and very flavorful. The chicken actually had a good buffalo flavor which many claim to have but don't. We also tried the Nutella crepes with bananas, strawberries, whipped cream and Nutella. In addition to being very large, it had a great taste and was very fresh. Another hit for sure. The avocado toast with salmon was really good. The flavors were spot on and as with the other food, very fresh and well prepared. The brisket burger patty melt was also done perfectly. The brisket patty was a perfect medium and the onions were grilled just right. We opted for mayonnaise instead of the Thousand Island dressing it comes with. The other dressing may have been good but the mayo really paired well. Finally, the club sandwich was again prepared perfectly. Fresh meat, perfectly toasted bread (some places under toast and many over toast) - it was quite tasty. The French fries were fried so that they were crispy (but not overdone) on the outside but soft inside. **Bluebeard... wtf**…read more Bluebeard has been on my Indianapolis restaurant list since I moved here from Chicago in 2021. I've found some really great restaurants here over the years, so I was especially excited to finally make it to Bluebeard. Each year during Devour, my husband and I pick a restaurant for each other as a surprise, and this year I chose Bluebeard. We had a 6:15 reservation and arrived about 10 minutes late due to traffic. I apologized, and we were promptly seated. Unfortunately, that's where the experience started to go downhill. Our server took about 15 minutes to come over, and although our appetizer arrived quickly (chips&dip), our drinks took another 15 minutes. I held off on ordering our meal because I wanted to do the Devour menu with the wine pairing. The food & drinks was a mixed bag: - Beauregard cocktail: 10/10 - Chips & avocado ranch dip: 8/10 - Crudo: 9/10 - Smoked fish dip: 4/10 - Mushroom ravioli: 8/10 - Short Rib Ragu: 3/10 - Chocolate crème brûlée: 3/10 There were definitely some great dishes, but the slow service and inconsistent food were disappointing for a restaurant with this reputation. The biggest issue came toward the end of the meal. The hostess came to our table and told us we needed to hurry because she needed the table for another reservation. **We were still waiting for dessert.** I explained that the service had been very slow and that we were waiting on our desserts. Our server apologized and said the hostess likely didn't realize what had been happening and was under stress. I completely understand that Devour can bring in more traffic than usual, but that's also something a restaurant at this level needs to be prepared to handle. We shouldn't have been made to feel rushed when the delays were not on our end. I really wanted to love Bluebeard after having it on my list for five years, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. For comparison, some of my favorite Indy restaurants for both food and service are Bocca, Union 50, Matador, Rosemary & Olive, Tinker Street, Strange Bird, Delicia, and Bodhi. Maybe we caught Bluebeard on an off night, but for me, this experience fell short.
