Loved this bakery. Awesome coffee. The sticky buns and scones were delicious! The jalapeño cheese pretzel was huge!

First visit to this place today - it was meh for me. Ordered a large latte (coffee was burnt) and a regular coffee for my mate. He said it tasted a bit burnt as well. I stood under the 'order here' sign and when the girl came to take my order and I told her what I wanted she pointed me towards the cashier to repeat my order again. This is a friendly yet busy place. Thw food is tasty but some of it is a bit dry. The dood xould have used a splash more colour and flavour. The overall expierence the food gave was great. It was best breakfast place in town. I enjoyed the Cinnamon rolls and White chocolate almond scones. The hot chocolate was very yummy. It was not that crowded . There are few tables to sit. Definitely recommend this place for people who love to enjoy a good breakfast :) read more

i had the chance to try the sticky bun, white chocolate scone and coffee here. the glaze on the sticky bun hardened to almost like a hard candy consistency which i didn't particularly like. but the bread itself was decent. scone was relatively heavy and coffee was aight. there was a very long line and it barely moved. one person did food and the other cashier. so the 10 or so people in front of me took a good 15-20 minutes... overall it was ok. nothing spectacular but not very many options in the area. read more

Went in for coffee and something to eat. Baked goods were good, actually a 4 star for those. What brought the good experience down to a grinding halt was the cappuccino and latte. This was an insult to the noble Italian drink. I wouldn't give a single star for that. Just stick to a regular cup-a-joe when you go in. read more

First trip we got the sausage roll, sticky bun, raspberry white chocolate scone, and Nanaimo bar for breakfast. The sausage roll and sticky bun were outstanding! Highly recommend warming them both for a bit in the microwave, but they're still great cold. The Nanaimo bar was good but too sweet in the morning. The next day we came back and got 2 sausage rolls, a sticky bun and a butter pecan tart and warmed all three. Highly recommend all. Went because we heard good things but was disappointed. Cinnamon bun was not great, and I had to microwave my own breakfast sandwich in their microwave (as instructed by them). This place was a huge disappointment. The "fresh" bear claw and cinnamon roll were dry and tasted as if they were a few days old at least. Ended up throwing them away because no one wanted to eat them. This was on a Tuesday morning. Maybe they are better on other days. read more

I came here because everyone recommends it. I ordered a chai latte, a veggie breakfast sandwich and a butternut squash soup. The soup was good. The sandwich had processed cheese on it, could've been better, it was okay...The rest of the ingredients seemed quality so it helped save it a little. My chai latte I returned because it was really really really sweet. I got a replacement drink of a vanilla latte. They charged me seventy cents to replace it. While I waited I looked at all their syrup selection...Then when she presented my latte I asked "is sugar free syrup all you have for vanilla?". They said yes. They are giving people toxic chemicals by way of artificial sweetener laden vanilla syrup without telling them. That's a huge deal for me. DON'T POISON PEOPLE WITHOUT ASKING IF IT'S OKAY! I asked for another latte without artificial sweetener. My fiancee ordered a London Fog. And had to have it replaced. Was still awful. in the end she paid for it but didn't drink it. And no wonder they gave her artificial sweetener filled syrup too. Gross! read more

This has always been the place in Jasper that we looked forward to most. But last week it disappointed us. The raspberry white chocolate scones were small, dry and relatively free of any raspberries or white chocolate. The danish I bought was so dry that it tasted two days old so I threw it away. My beloved herbed French bread had a super thick and tough crust that we could barely chew through. It all seemed like maybe they got a new oven or a new baker and they didn't yet have them on track. So I asked a local if Bears Paw had changed hands and she said "Are you asking because the quality has really gone down hill?" I said yes and she said others had noticed the same thing. Seems like they have good days and bad days but not sure what's causing it. We adored this place and are soooo disappointed that it let us down. Our average spend for a four day trip to Jasper is usually $80 but we sure didn't bother this time. read more
