Ever since the last time we came to Jasper, this spot has become the top craving for my daughter and every time we would ask where everyone wants to go on vacation she would yell out, Jasper Wafflato! So we had to come back - especially considering they made it through the fire last year. Service js as warm and friendly as ever. Waffles are better than my kids remember. I had the sunrise waffle, the waffle is good consistency, the eggs done with good flavour. I had a bite of the jerk chicken and it was _really_ good - the spice was on and it was fire. Jasper's Wafflato is a full service breakfast place. We stopped in on our last day in Jasper before heading back along the Icefield Parkway. Because I faced a day of driving I wanted to start off more with protein than with carbs, bypassing waffles for an omelette. The waffles I saw around me sure looked good, the plates photogenic. My non-waffle meal was a Spicy Chorizo Omelette, and it was spicy. Was I surprised? Yeah, a little. Back home the term is used even when there is no heat. This was better. This was authentic. We ate inside, they have both inside and outdoor seating. I remember I liked the look inside, probably lots of wood. We also liked the service, our server helped us decide what to get, the food arrived in good time, and payment was easy. This was a nice end to our Jasper visit. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my Wagyu waffle burger, although I have my doubts about it being an actual Wagyu patty. Nonetheless, it's a dish I'd recommend. My girlfriend went for the chicken avocado, which was not only generously portioned but also tasty. The staff was friendly, but service did lag a bit for us. We didn't receive our silverware until our food was served, and we only got our water after finishing our meal. Seating options inside are somewhat limited, but there's plenty of space outdoors. We've been here the last couple of times that we went to Jasper, and I have to say this is one of my favourite breakfast places ever. My husband keeps ordering the Jerk Chicken Waffle, and always talks about how good it was. I am plain Jane when it comes to breakfast and so I got their basic breakfast (eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, potatoes) and it's PERFECT. It's an adorable hole in the wall, family owned- and their service is fantastic. Reasonable prices also- and I definitely recommend their vanilla latte. read more

Husband ordered jerk chicken waffle (delicious but crazy spicy!!), avocado toast ( super yum the avocado was actually guacamole so much more flavorful), older daughter ordered biscoff waffle( OMG soooo yummie) and 12y son ordered wagyu beef waffle with breakfast fries ( son said everythinh was delicious !). Lots of variety, delicious coffees, and the dessert waffles and shakes sounded AMAZING. our service was super great, and it was a typical Jasper atmosphere (ski chalet-ish). I couldn't choose what I wanted! They had fresh juices as well but i went with the vanilla latte. Definitely will be back to try other things, but it will be hard to steer away from the jerk chicken waffles. They were unlike anything I have ever tasted. This restaurant was a pleasant surprise for my friends and I. We loved our whole experience. It's got a cafe/coffee shop feel, not too big, but we were able to find seating right away at 8 AM on a weekday. Our server was so attentive, which we appreciated. I had an iced latte with vanilla--it was creamy and delicious. To eat, I ordered the Maple Waffle Bacon, Egg and Cheese meal. It was sooooo good. Had a mix of sweetness with a little kick with the Chipotle mayo. Each bite was flavorful and delicious. I also ordered a side of hash browns which came out crispy and full of flavor. We passed by here the night before when we were walking around town waiting for our dinner reservation and we knew we wanted to try it the next day for breakfast because who doesn't love a good chicken and waffles for breakfast. When we arrived, we managed to snag the last table without having to wait; they closed the counter seats for staff use. Their menu isn't big but they've actually got daily specials and other specials on their wall signs. We opted for a chicken and waffles (cause that's what we came for) and maple bacon waffle as well as some morning hot beverages. The chicken and waffles ended up being frozen chicken fingers and it lacked the usual maple syrup/sauce of any sort so there was nothing to really bind the waffles and chicken together. The maple bacon waffle does come with a packet of maple syrup and the dish is exactly as is on the menu so it came out decent! For hot beverages, don't assume that just because there is no price tag on the item on their menu that it's included as part of your meal; if you're on a budget, be sure to ask about the price prior because you won't see it until you pay for the bill. If the cramped overcrowded seemingly chaos kitchen is any sign, their dining floor is also kind of the same. There's no real system there for the wait staff whether it be cleaning tables or taking orders and from our seat, we could see that sometimes food was ready but no one was picking up the dishes. The one thing I really liked though was that the open kitchen really lets you see the staff making the waffles right before your eyes! He had such a system making it. Overall, food was alright and enough to feed your belly before your next outdoor adventures but not something I'd go out of my way for. Perhaps we were seated at a good spot so our service was timely but I noticed that there were inconsistencies (i.e. groups that were seated prior didn't get to place their orders until after us, food didn't come out in the order it went in). All in all, better than the food at our hotel but...I'm sure there are better hidden gems in the city. read more

Thanksgiving Monday with crazy warm weather we got to sit outdoors enjoying excellent service, delicious coffee & food in Canada natural playground. My wife had the goat cheese waffle and added a sunny side egg and it was topped with tomatoes arugula balsamic vinegar - she loved it . I had the sunrise waffle with the traditional sausage eggs and bacon on top. All were prepared perfectly. The waffles are very light and fluffy with a nice crisp outer layer. I drink my coffee black so I am a bit susceptible to crappy coffee that's original way to overcome mediocre coffee without sugar or cream added - this was great tasting coffee in the mountain fresh air. Indoors there is lots of other fresh baked offerings in their display case & 10-16 seats for indoor seating.
