The building is an old train depot teaming with history with an awesome front courtyard for hanging out. Best of all though is their food. You can get a brisket sandwich for under 10 bones with meat just spilling out. They also have a fried baloney sandwich that I am trying the next time there. I saw others eating it and it looks incredible. Lastly, their beer prices are very good and they have a great selection of liquor as well. This is going to become one of my favs! Oh yea, bartender was super cool with great service.

We tried calling and looking on their website, but we didn't see anything, and I don't think they have a phone. We still had some of their regular bloody marys made by the owner, which were delicious. The owner was very friendly, helpful, and made us feel at home. The fried bologna sandwich was one of the best I've ever eaten. The bologna was very thick, and the bread was on thick, toasted Texas toast. The place was empty, so it was cool to have the entire back area to ourselves. The establishment was very cool and unique. I love the setup. It had a 60s/70s vibe. The inside was very clean. There was a huge pool table, darts, and board games. I also loved the huge moose and buffalo heads on the wall. Third Rail Saloon also has an outdoor area that looks like it would be a lot of fun in the summer. This place is a little pricey, in my opinion. Also, they didn't give us a receipt, and after we came home, we looked at our online debit card receipt and found that we were charged for two shots that we weren't supposed to be charged for. Overall, I think this place is awesome, and I would love to go back and try more menu items.

And the meals came looking just like the pics. The owner and grill master prepared our meals and his wife was our waitress. The bbq sauce is made in house, We tried both the pork and beef rib. Portions were huge. Two hungry people could have shared one of the dinners. We saw the sandwiches. They were also full of meat and according to a fellow customer nearby, delicious, the meat is always tender, never dry.. we started with the nachos. Normally I don't like non traditional bar type nachos, but I ate at least half the order: it had pulled pork, cheese, bbq sauce, and yes, baked beans. . Never thought I'd like baked beans on a nachos, but it worked. each nachos chip was loaded. We did go back a second time the next day for lunch with a friend. She'd never been here before, but liked it and said her dad and brother would love it. She could only finish half beef rib meal. The sides were good, they are in the process of changing the menu a little. This is not a town that likes very spicy food, so you had to request heat. The Mexican corn needed a boost Mexican chilli powder, but it's catered to local tastes. It was good, I'd order again. Home made baked beans. Very good. We enjoyed the fries, but wish we had changed them out for something more exotic on the sides menu. Would we return, we did, ordered the same thing all over again and still enjoyed it. Wished the cook but as many baked beans on the nachos. Maybe request more because it is good. All I can say is, you gotta eat here, even if you are travelling along the 401. It's worth the detour up to Chatham for the restaurant.

Since that time I have used Hickory Barbeque several times for catering and are my go-to for future catering. Always a crowd pleaser. The pulled pork and chicken is consistently juicy and flavorful, all the sides dishes are as delicious as it could possibly get. My go to for 30 people's (Trust me it feeds more) Slow Smoked Pulled Pork 6LB Whole pork shoulder, rubbed generously with Daley's Swine Salt and smoked low and slow until the meat pulls away from the shoulder bone, when tender, each shoulder is then shredded by hand. BBQ Hand Pulled Shredded Chicken 6LB boneless, skinless chicken cooked low and slow, then shredded by hand and tossed with Daley's Chicken Seasoning and Daley's Original BBQ Sauce. Macaroni & Cheese Cavatappi noodles, tossed with an enticing creamy blend of cheddar, cojack, mozzarella, provolone other cheeses to create this six-cheese explosion. BBQ Spicy Baked Beans smoked with Daley's Swine Salt and our own mixture of Daley's BBQ Sauce to give it a nice spicy & sweet finish. Creamy Coleslaw Fresh green & red cabbage with julienned carrots mixed with a creamy coleslaw dressing and a delectable savory blend of spices & herbs. Pulled chicken lacked flavor but pulled pork and brisket were both tender and tasty. Baked beans and Mac 'n Cheeze just fine. I would choose this again, but probably stick to ribs and brisket.
