I recently graduated from Beaumont Adult School and had a good experience. They gave me all the tools necessary in order to be successful. I was able to pass the NCLEX first try. As long as you're willing to put in the work the instructors and staff are there to help you. Even after graduating Ms. Emily has been very helpful for those who reach out. I was a former student. The instructors lack professionalism for instance Ms. Monroe. For instance the theory instructor Ms Monroe lacks professionalism will get there late and start class only after she gossips with students has her coffee. During my time I saw favoritism, from this instructor discrimination and intimidating tactics when they don't she does not like a person. I saw this instructor take a student outside and talk down to her. This this student was pregnant. . Unfortunately they don't hear the concerns of students and end up kicking out students based on false accusations. And of course they have favorites and it affects the students who wake up early make a long drive to benin school on time. If Ms. Monroe targets your be sure youll be bullied and you might as well be ready to teach yourself becouse she is a bulley. The principle or assistant principle no longer work there but the same problem theory instructor is still there, hopefully it will lead to a better structured school to benifit the students. read more

What I will say is that I had a better experience here than I first thought to look at in other places, such as Stanbrudge in Riverside. I started the program years ago, but I found myself making stupid decisions and chose work over my education. Years later and it was one of the best things I ever did coming to this school. Yes it is hard, yes it is stressful, but you put the hard work & time and you CAN do it. I never thought I would've gone back to school had it not been for the staff to help me in places in needed it most. The instructors made everything worth while, they definitely kept me on my toes, but most of all I was thankful for Mrs Emily. She made a huge difference during a change when we needed to adjust and we were uphill from that point on, she never gave up on me on days I wanted to quit, I was literally at the end and STILL wanted to give up. She was a huge help in my education and I am so thankful to have had her as a DON/instructor. Thank you all again. read more

Stay away from this school if you do not want to be bullied or harassed by other students. Nothing will happen if you report it. This school has been in chaos since the last nursing director left. Ms. Shelton, a school employee, discovered drugs on the floor and nothing was done about it, despite the fact that special education kids were present on campus. Students in the LVN program frequently use cannabis in the restrooms. Ms Holecek, the new Nursing director, is constantly busy and concerned with making modifications to the school, such as new uniforms and other unneeded amenities, while failing to consider the school's true priorities. She is usually exhausted and complains about having three jobs and being constantly occupied. If you are considering a lvn program, go elsewhere. read more

The other review on here a lie. I attended this school and we were on ATI almost everyday especially during exit testing. If you're not willing to put in the work then no this school is not for you. It is a great school. The teachers are there to help you. They don't play around at clinicals if you are late -go home, if you don't have your supplies -go home, and if your not dressed according to dress code -go home. This is a letter to my principal please save your money this school is so inappropriate and they do not care about your money I Decided on Monday, November 1rst that I did not want to attend your school any longer, I am writing you this email so I have legal prove to you that I have written you some thing. I dropped your program after speaking to my reps from the work enforcement, I went in there to talk to them about getting my gas vouchers to fill out for the program,. I decided to start a conversation about how things were going in school and how I was not learning.I have been A student In the recent years and couldn't figure out why I wasn't learning in the classroom. It was apparent to me that I wasn't getting enough instruction from Miss Monroe,. I know your program is supposed to start from 7 to 3 but it always started from either 730 to 8 o'clock, because she couldn't get there on time. Even though our class started at 8 o'clock she would not come in till anytime from 9 to 945 and then start class for a little while and then go run an errand and be gone again for another 45 minutes to an hour. Then we would get an hour lunch, and somedays at least 4 days we were sent home at 12 o'clock or 1 o'clock ,and a lot of the times she said that they would take care of the sign out sheet, and there was one day I did not even attend clinicals but yet your school is trying to charge me for a day I wasn't there and different days that we left early. Those are the hours that I didn't even sign out for, I tried to speak to Eva about it and she said that's the hours she got and that's what she's going by . I have all my uniforms and books to turn in but yet you guys have not even offered a chance for me to do that. I am writing an email to the superintendent and also to the student services director to ask them why I cannot turn in my uniforms , there is no reason why I cannot turn in those items and my books. There is also no reason why I should be charged for hours that I was not in the classroom. I also Mentioned to you about the way Mrs. Stewart came into class and told the girls if they don't like the school they can get the hell out, I have also been aware that you guys are giving a test to another class and telling them that if they don't pass it that they're going to be forced to take a leave of absence , and they're gonna have to wait for another class to catch up to them one of the students in 33 sent a text letting us know what you were doing, and how stressed out they are. I have reported you to accreditation , department of education, work enforcement agency and I know that's why you guys are not giving me an opportunity to fight my hours or even offering a chance to return my items that I have not even used,I do not understand how you can sleep at night knowing that you are treating people so awful students and instructors and you're also using intimidation tactics my next step is to get a hold of title four And perhaps an attorney, I am not trying to make threats .I always do what I say I'm gonna do. I feel as if you cannot remedy the situation or you do not want to. That is not ok or fair . II have proof from the work enforcement that I was talking to them that day I have proof that I bought items for school over the weekend before I had no clue that I was going to drop , no one encouraged me to drop I made the decision on my own I am a grown adult , I did what was best for me so I can learn and I can be able to go on the floor confident when I am dealing with patients. I also want to be able to pass the nclex and I did not see that happening with the way your teachers mismanaged the entire program. read more

One of the things to look at when considering an LVN program is the drop out rate. Drop outs paid for the program but get nothing in return. The Beaumont Adult School LVN program has a high drop out rate. Each year 90 students pay for the program and start instruction. But, as per California pass rate records, only 30 students take the test. Other LVN school drop out rates are closer to 25%. This school's drop out rate is greater than 50%. What's even worse about the drop out rate of Beaumont is that they string the students along, with easy instruction during the first half of the program. This keeps people in the program longer, so the school gets more money. This used to be a good program. It used to be run by Ms. Dixon, who has an MSN. They used to do computerized ATI testing so students can stay current with NCLEX skills, have a good skills lab, and have good instructors. Unfortunately, the school was paying Ms. Dixon perhaps 70K a year (I'm guessing based on job postings). Since she has a Masters in Nursing, she can easily earn 120K a year in the private sector. So she quit about a year ago. She was replaced by Mr. Evans, who the school learned after a year of hiring him, he doesn't possess the correct certifications. Mr. Evans ran the school into the ground. Other schools start computerized NCLEX prep from day one. Beaumont doesn't. There is no one at Beaumont who knows anything about ATI or any other computerized testing. The school apparently hasn't paid the vender which is why the ATI isn't available to students, except a token amount of modules that are unrelated to coursework. The skills lab is basically figure out your self lab. They send people to clinical with no skills training, hoping the on-site or co-student CNA's will teach the rest. The students administer health related care at hospitals with no clue about how to do things. The skills sign off is fiction. The worst part is the new teachers Mr. Evans hired. With no oversight the class room is basically a gab fest with little instruction. The course testing is based on a cheat sheet provided a week prior to the tests, designed to give students a false confidence so they don't drop too soon, so the school can get as much money as possible. Mr Evans is no longer with the school. now the director is someone with questionable experience. It wasn't always this way. The City of mainly to blame since they do not pay market rate for school management or teachers. As of now, the school is poorly run. If you are thinking of starting this LVN program in 2019 or 2020, I suggest you go to another school. Any school is better than this. More and more area schools are starting programs with night courses if that's the issue. read more
