I was unexpectedly surprised to find that the wonderful place where I first met and adopted my GSP, Dexter, is actually a kennel. The folks at Beaumont Boarding and Day care are professional, friendly, and most importantly, clearly in love with dogs and their jobs. Dexter has only been once, but that was a wonderful day for him. In fact, it looked a little like he didn't want to leave! The kennel is right next to a large open field, an ideal spot for Dexter for the walks he gets when he stays there. The manager, Cindy, is professional and knowledgable. As a bonus, Cindy is incredibly flexible. I had lots of places I had to be and no idea how long it would take me to get back to pick up Dexter. She was so incredibly accommodating. I give this business my highest recommendation. BBDC will give you peace of mind that your dog will be well cared for. June 12, 2014 This is a follow-up. These guys are insanely caring. Last year, when I evacuated the Silver Fire, I could count on them to keep Dexter safe and happy. Just the other day, I explained that we don't have a vet in my hometown and that we're behind on our vaccinations. They offered to take Dex to the local vet while he was being boarded there. I love Beaumont Boarding and Day Care. Carol J. was there when there was a totally different group of people running the kennel. The new owners are awesome. *WARNING: my dog got KENNEL COUGH here* When we dropped our dog off at this facility we felt nervous and had a bad feeling. It was dirty and falling apart, kennels on dirt floors outside and the main office smelled strongly of dog feces. I've seen dog pounds in better shape, and to be honest the looks of the place reminded me of Tijuana. We were on a schedule so couldn't relocate our dog, so we had to leave her. While she was boarded I called every day to check on her and someone picked up every time, told me she was okay. The day we picked her up she was unusually fatigued. The next day she started showing signs of kennel cough, even though she is up to date on her bordetella. It's been three days and she has not had anything to eat, has eye discharge and is coughing terribly. I've tried calling 20+ times a day and they don't answer and they have no voicemail. If they knew another dog boarded had kennel cough they should have warned me, it's too obvious to claim they didn't know. And now they disappeared. We left our dog food bowls (they never handed them back so we didn't realize until we got home) and would like advice on kennel cough but no one is picking up. I have a feeling they are ignoring my call because they know. We feel incredibly scammed. If they care and want to make this right and read this they need to reach out to Wendy's parents and call us. I have called morning afternoon and before closing over 20x a day for the last 2 days and no pick up. If they respond I will update this post. read more

Been leaving our 3 French bulldogs here for a couple of times now and they have been great. The first time after we picked up our dogs I took them straight to the tub shower them and I noticed no dirt or sand or anything coming off... so I thought they bathe the dogs so I called and they didn't. I was shocked how cleaned my dogs came back. So after that day, I have been coming back to them. They are very affordable not expensive at all. Staff was really friendly. It's been my husband dropping and picking up our dogs so I haven't seen the place but this time I will go and update my review about the place just for further info. Our family has been loyal customers for the last few years. We loved when Cindy was the manager. She was friendly, an absolute pleasure to deal with, and her love for the animals showed in her conversations with owners and interactions with the clients and their pets. Since Cindy has left 2 months ago, management has taken a turn for the worst. We just found out that Cindy was the one who implemented and included a bath in the boarding fees before pickup. This was the perfect response for a tick infestation that occurred a few years ago due to the dogs being outdoors. This was the best solution to ensure no further negative repercussions from leaving your pet in a kennel and being around other dogs. This especially makes sense and was appreciated during this COVID pandemic. Unfortunately, we just found out today that our pet wasn't bathed at all the last few times we brought her to board there. We asked Samantha because she was returned to us with an awful stench. This information and other new changes were not relayed to the clients. As a matter of fact when I called to book a kennel for our pet, Samantha did not inform me of the bathing option. Management gave the impression that they were unaware of this previous policy regarding bathing, but when we inquired, we were informed by volunteers that they have offered to bathe the animals, but are constantly told not to. Now, there has been an extra charge for bathing without prior notice. The kennels are outside, which already exposes the animals to fleas, ticks and other infestations. At the very least, they can wash the dog. In the "new normal" we're living in, cleanliness is essential in every facet of our lives, including our pets. Unfortunately, at Beaumont Boarding Kennel, this is not the case. read more

I thought real hard about posting this review. Because I believe these folks mean well, but they simply don't have the resources to do a good job. And my grandmother always said, "if you can't say something good, don't say anything at all." But, I also thought about the pain I saw in the eyes of my dog and realized that I need to speak for innocent animals who can't speak for themselves. I took my dog to Beaumont Boarding and Daycare based on a reference from another pet hotel/salon. I needed just one night and thought it would be fairly easy and straight forward. I should have known something might be wrong when I asked to see where my dog would be housed and was told I couldn't see that area because of liability issues. It was suggested that I could be bitten by another dog. I wasn't worried about being bitten as I've been raising large breed dogs for over 30 years. I have a 132lb St. Bernard puppy and have raised Great Pyrenees, Mastiffs, and Great Danes over that 30 years. My pup is a lively, goofy and inquisitive baby. He is truly active. He is a true St. Bernard in every sense of the breed. I was told my dog would be outside with misters and shading from the heat. I was told he'd be fed and I provided the food. I was told they provided 5 gallon buckets of water. I took my dog into the daycare on Saturday mid-morning. I picked him up on Sunday at 2:00pm. The first thing I noticed from my normally lively pup was that he was lethargic. He was unresponsive and looked to be in pain. He immediately laid down, which is not like him. Then as we departed the building, I observed that he was limping and could barely walk. Normally in the truck, I can't make him sit down as he is attentive and loves to look out all windows from all sides of the SUV. On this day he got in and immediately laid down. He wouldn't move. We had to help him exit the truck, which he normally jumps from without any problem. He was filthy so I had to bathe him first. We noticed that his paws were red, swollen and blistered from being burned. We had to treat them with oils and other emollients to treat the pain. It was clear he had been on hot concrete or gravel or sand. He could not walk for three days after we picked him up. Although we were told he would be under misters, his skin and fur were dry and he clearly was suffering from heat exhaustion or stroke. It took two days for him to regain his appetite. I know, as I stated in the beginning these folks mean well, but they are ill equipped to take care of dogs. I learned in talking to the person who brought my dog to me that this daycare only has one paid staff member. Everyone else is a volunteer. And unfortunately not everyone who loves dogs knows how to take care of dogs. Needless to say I will not take my dog to the Beaumont Daycare and Boarding again. I hope they gather the resources or investments necessary to develop a better service for animals. read more

I recently moved to Palm Springs and my husband and I were going to San Diego for an overniter, we took our Plott Hound to Beaumont Boarding and we were completely satified with her care. Keep in mind this is a rescue house so it's not the Hilton!! My dog was very happy when I picked her up and Cindy was as nice and helpful as she could be when I asked all of my usual questions before taking my pet there. She offered us a tour and required all of the proper documentation. I will absolutely be taking my dog back there any time we are going that direction for an extended period of time. read more

The place is huge, the staff are very educated and use caution with the animals. The kennels are huge and have igloos for the cold nights and mornings. Darren, the owner, is AMAZING. He's so nice and kind and understanding if you or your animal have any special needs. Our dogs are rescues with PTSD and they did wonderful there; first time they have ever been good in 4 years. Wonderful, wonderful place. I will be sure to drop them off again the next time we kennel. read more

I volunteer for a rescue and we use Beaumont Boarding and Day Care for many of our dogs and cats. Because so many of our animals are housed there, several of our volunteers are there frequently to work with them. Cindy, the new manager, and the workers there are animal lovers and have been great to the dogs and cats in their care. Cindy even stayed up all night with one of our rescued dogs who, unexpectedly, gave birth. I was so sorry to hear of Carol J.'s problems and about her dog - what an awful situation! The manager who was there before has been permanently removed and many procedures immediately changed by Cindy and her crew. The woman responsible for what happened to Carol's dogs will not be returning and I can tell you from first-hand "behind the scenes" observation that this is a clean, healthy environment. They are currently improving many areas and are working on a second play field for the dogs - who are only let out one at a time, unless they know they are "friends" and no dog will get hurt. I am persoally at Beaumont Boarding once or twice a week and big changes have been made for the better! read more

I left my beloved dog for 20 days in Sept and Oct, 2014. After 8 days he was taken to a veterinarian because he had bleeding stools. He was at the vets overnight, then given medicine. When I talked with the vet he said he believed it must have been stress related. When I picked my dog up he had kennel cough. He was current on all shots. We travel around the U.S. and he has been boarded before with absolutely no ill effects. Besides the fact that he suffered I had vet bills of over $850. The owner was to get in touch with me. DO NOT, please DO NOT take your animals to Beaumont Boarding and Day Care. I took both of my dogs there for several months and had some minor problems with one dog who had irritated paws (the vet said from something they used to clean the floors) and, another time, a bad cough (the vet said it could have been smoke from the local fires or something picked up in the kennel). Those ended up being only minor problems. It was the beginning of the end for one dog....this time she balked at going with the woman manager to the kennel. This was very unusual! After a few days, when I went to pick up my two dogs, I only had one! This kennel "murdered" my dog by letting another dog (an Akita) get into her kennel. They gave me three different stories that the Akita was put into my dog's kennel by mistake, that the Akita jumped the fence, and that the Akita climbed under a hole in the fence. The manager didn't let me see my dog because she was so badly damaged and I was very upset (wonder why!). The owner of the kennel is a woman who is in this business only for money. She even had her boyfriend call and threaten me. The County of Riverside Animal Control was no help at all either, saying they couldn't find the owner of the Akita, even though they had an address for him and I was told his dog had previously attacked other dogs! If you love your animals, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT take them there for any reason. read more
