We moved to Fox Run in November of 2018, and I can honestly say that it is one of the best decisions we have ever made. There are so many things to do here. There are approximately 180 clubs and groups to get involved with. Whatever your interests are, you will find some others that share your interests. The amenities here include an indoor pool, an onsite medical center, 2 fitness centers, physical/occupational therapy, a hobby shop, and 6 restaurants, you can always find great food to eat here. There is independent living, assisted living, as well as skilled nursing and memory care. During the pandemic they took fantastic care of us. We had meals and mail delivered to our apartment door; we were able to get all the vaccines we needed without going outside. They do not dispute the services with us. The activity director promised several times to send us payment for our services and has not followed through. The executive director, regional administrator and the activity director have blamed the lack of payment on their corporate office. Supposedly, they are going to correct the situation, but they have not done so for months. This must justify why they are totally unable to get small invoices paid, do not follow through about providing an answer about sending payments and then do not send us payment. Are they having financial issues generally? Who knows. This is a disservice to the elderly who live there as well as to the honest vendors who provided them with services.

Right before I walked in to meet Raena, the community specialist, for the first time, I said to my sister, who accompanied me, "I have a good feeling about this place." And I was right! Raena was knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. She answered all of our questions and made us feel comfortable. The community is clean and relaxed and visually appealing. But more importantly is the culture of the facility. I witnessed employees joking around with each other more than once! They were happy at work - imagine that! The residents were happy as well, and both the employees and residents were welcoming to my sister and me who were strangers on a tour. The community has activities every single day, a doctor that visits once a week, a hair salon, game rooms, meal service, laundry service, a 24 hour receptionist and I could go on and on. On move in day we were all a little nervous, but my family member was welcomed with open arms and that welcome has not stopped yet! I can honestly say that she is getting personalized attention (and love) from the staff and all of the residents have been so very kind and encouraging to her. Mary (Community Liason) has been an asset to getting my family member settled. She has honestly gone above and beyond and is still, 3 months later, helping my family member adjust. Admissions offered a tour right away. When I got there all my questions were answered, the tour went very well, everyone was friendly and the residents were not all in beds! My Brother spent 03 months there and I never worried about his care. If something came up, it got corrected right away. All the staff was attentive and pleasant; they took great care of John. His therapy went perfect and he always told me how wonderful the staff was. No complaints here...Thank You Orchards for helping me thru a very difficult time. I will actually miss the individuals we dealt with on a daily basis. John also thanks each and everyone of you for a job well done.

Actually, all of their buildings are like this one. This is a place I would place my own mom in. In fact, she lives at one of PVM buildings in Detroit, Hartford Village.
