Today our search for good barbecue has finally ended. We found Beaus BBQ after reading an article about them. Intrigued by the menu and especially blue corn bread. We found them at FtMyers Brewery. We had the special of the day Short Ribs . (Wow!!! Perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, topped with Chimichurri. The meat fell off the bone. Sides were Texas style potato salad ( perfectly seasoned with dill..) and baked beans. Tyler found us to see how we liked it. We chatted and shared how the food truck began and how hard he has worked to build his business. He returned again to give us a sample of the brisket burnt ends. Melt in your mouth!! I hired Beau's BBQ to bring the food truck to my 70th birthday at my house. We had 70+ friends for the big celebration and served pulled Pork & Brisket with Mac Cheese, slaw, & Potato salad. Many, many of our guests said it was the best brisket they had ever had and all the pulled pork was eaten! Tyler was on-time and set up in 30 minutes for a great dinner event. Everyone said it was the best party they had been to in years (thanks to the wonderful BBQ food). I had eight choices of food trucks to choose from while visiting Backyard Social. I ended up choosing a winner - Beau's BBQ! Now I understand why this place has a 5 Star rating! I ordered their "Brisket On The Bone" - which is only available on Sundays btw (according to the friendly and helpful employee who waited on me). Cost is $34 per pound, but it's certainly enough for two people. I also ordered their Mac 'n cheese which I was told was "the best"! After watching them prepare my order and receiving it, I found an open spot at the bar to enjoy this fantastic cut of meat. It was incredibly moist and delicious! If not the best brisket I've ever had, it certainly fell in the top three! The Mac 'n cheese lived up to the hype also - extremely good! It's a cool atmosphere (Backyard Social) with lots of choices. Ribs, briskets, pull pork, smoked Mac & Cheese, baked bean, cole slaw and potato salad. I opted for a Pulled Pork and Brisket plate and wife ordered a Brisket sandwich Sides were Mac & Cheese, and baked bean. The pulled Pork was succulent and tender and brisket was juicy and full of flavor! To go with our meal, we ordered 1001 Night, Palm City's Coconut and Coffee Stout! What a combination! I spotted Beau's last night at Palm City Brewing but if I had simply followed my nose, it would have been a longer journey. This is what proper smoked meat should smell like and it's awesome to find this sort of quality in Southwest Florida and in a food truck, no less! Menu posted on the side and yes, it's fresh because they do run out of stuff. Place your order and when the buzzer buzzes, come back and get your meat. I had a brisket sandwich and it was a proper serving of smoked beef. Melty, flavorful, moist and quite delicious. I thought it was great that there was no sauce. A true meat griller should be so confident in their quality that they don't need sauce to cover up their mistakes. We tried Beau's when we went to Palm City Brewery, they offer the typical ribs, brisket and pulled pork items. My first time at back yard social yesterday with many food trucks to pick from. Thankfully I chose Beau's BBQ from start to finish it was an excellent experience. The staff were friendly as we talked about Texas BBQ in Austin, Tx. I ordered the brisket, coffee bbq sauce along with a side of cucumber salad. The brisket was so tender, flavorful and melted in my mouth. I know my Texas bbq Beau's is in a class of their own. I also like how they add pickles and onions on the side true Texan presentation. I was curious about backyard social and finally decided to check it out, they have a variety of food trucks there but the fantastic smell of bbq could not be ignored so we decided to try it. Great decision simple menu but the food was amazing had the brisket sandwich very generous portion great flavor and is not drenched in sauce (actually served on the side) ordered the beans as a side they were really good. Went to the Backyard Social for the first time and had Beau's and a couple of other places food. Beau's was by far the best! The others were fine mind you but Beau's stood out far and away as the best. The service was outstanding and the recommendations were spot on. They take great care in making sure that everything is of the highest quality by creating the entire menu from scratch. I visited Beau's BBQ at the Backyard Social today and it's some of the best BBQ in SWFL without a doubt! I had the ribs and my wife had the pulled pork sandwich. The ribs were phenomenal ! Succulent, tender and smoky. My wife also raved about the pulled pork sandwich. I also had a chance to check out the brisket as they were carving for another order. We caught up with Beau's BBQ today at the Kelly Road Soccer Complex (food truck if you hadn't guessed). Our kid doesn't play soccer anymore, but I had the pleasure of meeting the man behind the "Q" a few weeks ago. He spoke with such passion about his BBQ that I had to try it. Was it as good as he claimed? Nope... it was even better! The pork delicious and the brisket (which they ran out of very quickly... it's that good) was amazing. He was kind enough to save me a piece remembering that it's my favorite cut and what I believe to be the true test of a grill master. The sauce is perfectly balanced and the sides (we had the slaw, beans and mac) were amazing on their own but more importantly sublimely complimented the pork. OK... It's settled...
