Came here for Cinco de Mayo and a little date night out with some friends. This isn't the first time I've been here, but everytime I come its always a great time. There was live music that night and they had everyone up dancing. The place has a bunch of food trucks around the perimeter of a courtyard style area. Nice big bar in the middle with quite a few VIP seating lounges available to rent (the pics show them with the big pink and blue couches) and a few areas with games to play like electric darts, bowling and other yard games like big Jenga, connect four, corn hole. Lots of outdoor seating, some with fire pits, and the place is kid friendly! It was great to see the littles out dancing too. We tried the lobster tacos from the lobster truck. They were great!! Stuffed with lobster. A few of the other food trucks included Greek food, pizza truck, sandwiches and a taco truck (my favorite was when they used to have a mac n chz truck there ) We tried a couple different cocktails from the bar and they were delish too. Our bartender was super sweet and had a great personality. The places hosts many events: from bike night to bingo to salsa dance lessons.. so there's no doubt we wont be back soon to enjoy the fun! read more

Came here for the first time to enjoy a performance of Chasing Denver. I nice selection of food truck choices and I like that there's an app for ordering food from all of them. It was very handy and let you know when your meal was ready. Bar service works hard but can get clogged up during rush times. All in all great time and a fun atmosphere. One tip if you are coming to watch a show bring a chair and come early. Or park on that side and tailgate if crowded. read more

My friend and I wanted to meet in the middle between Tampa and Ft. Lauderdale, and since I was getting my new kitten from her, we needed a place that had both inside/outside seating that wouldn't make a fuss over a cat in a carrier. Backyard Social fit this description, and with plenty of parking and plenty of seating, it worked out perfectly. There's not really a place like this in Tampa - it is a bunch of food trucks inside that you order your food from, and they give you a buzzer to come get it when it's ready. Meanwhile, they have a server who comes over just to get your drink order. We only saw her right when we sat down; the rest of the time we had to go to the bar to get refills. I think that people just ordering sodas are not the priority, since the servers won't make much in tips that way. My friend and I both ordered from the Greek place, Gyros 2 Go, and we both enjoyed our dishes. I had the falafel platter, add tomatoes, which also came with tzatziki sauce, hummus, feta cheese and pita bread. Food was ready very quickly, and came served in a Styrofoam to-go container. Great mix of options for food trucks. We went to the sandwich one on this trip. Great turkey BLT wrap and caprese sandwich (they happily customized it with ham), and the fries were delicious. The coffee truck was super slow and not worth the wait. But, we will be back, probably with our kids so we can try out some of the other trucks. There was no band while we were there (Sunday afternoon), but there was a craft fair going on. Cool ambiance and concept all around. Nice breeze for being "inside." We had a great time. Came with a large group -- family plus baseball team teenagers and relatives. It was perfect for all ages. Everyone could get something different to eat and drink. Outside there are tables and a band was playing. Inside tables, games (bowling, table hockey, etc.), seating, a big central bar and around the perimeter food trucks. The food varied from Greek to ice cream; from seafood to burgers. We tried (and shared) two things from the Atlas' Dock food truck. My husband and I got two appetizers: conch fritters and peel and eat shrimp. Both were excellent. The conch fritters were perfectly cooked and tasty and had nice bits of conch inside the batter. They came with dipping The cold peel n eat shrimp were large size, very fresh, and delicious albeit a bit messy. A DJ played music inside, as well. It was a fun, casual experience. read more

Having dinner with Baseball Family and friends at this large venue. We were concerned about the heat but once inside were pleasantly surprised to find welcoming Fan breezes and comfortable seating. We chose our dinner from the Atlas' Dock truck not far from the huge bar. Our Peel and Eat Shrimp and Conch Fritters were ready in a short time and we were alerted by a pager. The Conch Fritters were piping hot and had a slight kick, adding to the flavor! Fun place with Live Music outside and a DJ inside. Lots of games for the young and not so young to enjoy. read more

We enjoyed our visit to this new Fort Myers destination. The ambiance was great and it was a neat little hangout for a date night. We enjoyed the seating options and being able to see the TVs from anywhere and having a bartender/waitress come to the table to take drink orders. We scanned the QR code and found some of the food trucks were not accepting online orders so we walked around to decide what we wanted which was fine but a bit confusing at first as we thought they weren't open at all as the entrance said you had to order on the app. We chose a meal from Atlas's Dock. The Lobster Roll was amazing. It was perfectly done and had a good amount of lobster for the $27 price. I wish it was a bigger roll but for this area it's to be expected. The Jerk Chicken Sandwich was just ok. The flavor of the chicken was good but it seemed to be plain and needed more. I wish I would have gotten their signature sandwich and wouldn't order this one again. The fries were plain as well. I asked to upgrade them to lobster fries but couldn't do that so they were just seasoned with salt and pepper. I feel the old bay seasoning would have been a huge upgrade. Overall the Lobster Roll was a show stealer and the next time we return to Backyard Social we will be trying other food trucks to see how they are! I really look forward to the rotating options. 5/5 -- "Airport Layovers Just Got Bougie" Listen, I don't usually expect greatness near an airport. Usually it's just sadness and overpriced sandwiches wrapped in disappointment. But Backyard Social said, "Hold my artisan cocktail." This place is the unicorn of layover locales. First off, it's so close to the airport that you can practically hear a TSA agent sighing in the distance. Returned your rental car early? Perfect. Got three hours to kill? Even better. Because this food truck party disguised as a bar disguised as a playground is everything. We started with the lobster roll from Atlas Doc. That thing? It was warm, buttery luxury in a bun. Honestly, I'd take out a small loan to eat it again. And the fries? Perfectly seasoned little sticks of joy. Then we wandered over to Beau's BBQ like the responsible gluttons we are. Their pulled pork sandwich was so massive and flavorful, I briefly considered marrying it. The sauces? Sweet and tangy or jalapeño spicy? Yes and yes. Don't make me choose emotions. Now let's talk drinks. The bar is the crown jewel. I had a bourbon berry and mint smash so good I thought I saw stars. My wife tasted it and immediately ditched her pineapple mimosa for one of her own. Betrayal never tasted so refreshing. I switched to a Backyard Blossom which tasted like summer had a baby with happiness. They've got darts, bowling, an outdoor stage, music--it's like a mini festival with air conditioned bathrooms that don't make you fear for your life. And the best part? You'll still have money left over for your flight's $9 water bottle. Go here. And if you don't enjoy it, I suggest ordering another drink until you do. I recently came here twice in the last few weeks. The first time was to see my friends band play which was on a Thursday night. The vibes were there and it wasn't super packed so that was nice. I ended up having the chicken tenders from Addisons food truck. It was ver my good, you can even tell the quality of chicken was really good. The fries were a little sweet though. They were good I just prefer a spicy fry. I then went back this past Sunday for brunch and browse. It was much more busy than the Thursday night which I had anticipated from the event. It was cool to see how many people came out to support the vendors. They offered bottomless mimosas, different food options, and lots of cute shops. Of course they had all their foods trucks and the bars as usual. I had an espresso martini and it was very good. Then for food I tried wokin n rollin where I got dumplings and general Taos chicken with noodles. Omgsh so freaking good! Very cool place close to the ft myers airport. I got a bang bang shrimp bowl from Wokin & Rollin and it was fantastic. Lightly breaded shrimp on rice with shishito peppers and bang bang sauce. The shrimp were very tender and the peppers added good flavor. My husband got bbq from one of the other food trucks as well as fried chicken and fries from the chicken food truck. I thought the fries were interesting with a lot of flavor but overly salty. The place has generally a pretty lively ambiance, there was a band on a Thursday night outside. The hubs surprised me with this place and let me tell ya, nothing impresses me more than food trucks! I love having all the options. We actually went twice while we were in town. I went to Backyard Social with my brother-in-law before taking him to the airport. It was a cool bar with food trucks open around it on the inside of the building. Also, they had a nice collection of seating options. We sat up at their bar. The bartender, Olivia, was super nice and friendly. They had an average selection of craft beer on tap. Reasonable prices. We were watching construction of Backyard Social during 2023. Finally, it completed and open for business. The concept of Backyard Social is pretty simple, come out relax, eat, drink and socialize with your friends in a casual environment. This was done in Naple's Celebration Park, with food trucks and open water front bar overlook water access to Gulf of Mexico. What can you do for an inland venue? Well, you can add darts, shuffle boards, corn holes, connect four and bowling for entertainment and fun! The epic enter is the Center Bar and eight food trucks. As we entered, we recognized they are some of best food trucks from Fort Myers and Naples. Among our favorites are briskets and pulled pork from Beaus BBQ and our Greek food from Gyros 2 go! Went for lunch and was very happy with the food and drink. This place is new and during the weekend it is fully packed. Will do individual food trucks reviews later. Dining at the best possible trailer park! Atlas dock- 10 out of 10. Thai shrimp bowl with curry was amazing. This was the second best curry I have ever had. Conch fritters, peel and eat shrimp, Thai shrimp bowl were all very good. Gryos2Go- 9 out of 10. Beef Gyro was good with tzatziki sauce, tomatoes and onions. The pita bread was nice, but not too thick. Gigi Gourmet- 5 out of 10 Standard hot dog, fries and Cowboys Hamburger was ahhh... Bar- 8 out if 10 Well whiskey is Buffalo Trace and Diet Coke was the best value. Straight sprite and cokes standard free refills. On tap beers were good. Environment- 8 out of 10 Inside was nice with the food trucks pulled up facing inside. Wicker furniture and tables with QR codes to the food trucks. The environment was nice with a small bowling area. Outside seating was good with an open stage and trailer bar. It was a nice environment for groups with diverse tastes with a fun atmosphere. Just a fun casual place with a verities of food choices which are all excellent. The service is great as everything is electronic. No mix up of orders as the server uses wireless drink orders and you pay separately from food from the various trailers that surround the large bar area. Family friendly with many games available for patrons either with children adults. Age range runs from the 20's to 70's. Certainly the older reach there earlier. This is a very unique place. It was taking my children to RSW for a flight out to California after a quick shopping trip at Ron Jon's. We stumbled across this place and I'm so thankful we did. This place has an open area concept with a large "super" pavilion style main area that consists of a large oval bar and with picnic style tables on one end and individual tables for a couple or 4 people throughout. I counted no less than eight food trucks along the outside perimeter which gives one many delicious options to choose from. After careful consideration I chose a food truck, ordered, paid, and upon receiving my food, I found an empty seat at the bar to enjoy my meal. A friendly server waited on me and within minutes I had a nice cold beverage to compliment my food. There were large screen TVS showing Sunday afternoon football but I noticed most people were engaged in conversation. It was pretty crowded and the noise level was fairly high. Actually, after hearing that this was my first time here, the employee at the food truck, stated that if I liked crowds, Fridays and Saturdays nights were jam packed (thanks for the warning, ha). I enjoyed my meal and the service I received. I did notice that they have some "friendly" bees that hang around the bar area which was a little bit of a nuisance at times. They probably need to do something about this (JS). The outside is nicely carpeted with artificial green turf grass, and there are tables with large umbrellas dotting the "lawn" for people to sit and enjoy their drinks and food. I noticed they had a "cornhole" bag toss board game set up for anyone interested in playing. I really enjoyed the food I had from the food truck (another review), and the bar service was very good. I'm not much into crowds anymore, but I would return on a Sunday afternoon or some other time when it isn't too crowded. Definitely worth checking out. read more

Backyard Social is just what the Gulf Coast area needed! There is nothing quite like it in Fort Myers! Food trucks, drinks, games, TVs, music (sometimes live), plenty of different seating options inside and outside as well as an aesthetically pleasing environment are all things that make this place special. You can feel the positive energy when you walk in! The food trucks are a little on the pricier side but this is a great place to come socialize, watch a game, throw back a few and just enjoy the environment. It was only the first week they were open and they were incredibly packed on a Sunday night. I can imagine this place will be poppin' every weekend! We absolutely will be back. One small note: my husband said they only sell drinks at the bar, non alcoholic and alcoholic. That seems a bit odd and inefficient as the bar lines were extremely long. I'm glad I brought my own water bottle and we didn't have to worry about standing in line for that. read more

Really cool concept! Wish we had this place in Miami. Venue has a main bar which is covered but open air, so it does get warm but they do have fans. Then there's a slew of different food truck vendors that wrap around the establishment. I ordered from the Colombian spot and had the Vegan Cachapa. It was delicious and very filling! They even have trivia nights on Tuesday, which we participated in. Service was great! Would really return. read more

So much fun. Two of my friends and I played the bowling. It was fun to see the pins disappear with strings attached. The had Ttivia that night and the announcer voice was very annoying so we went outside and was entertained by a solo singer. I had fried shrimp from Docks food truck that was delicious. Backyard social is a permanent food truck venue adjacent to the Fort Myers airport. The venue itself is awesome, lots of art and lots of food options and lots of adult games and tables. There is a full bar in the center. I was in there for something quick to eat before my flight. Unfortunately, I opted for the gyros. While it was advertised as lamb containing beef. I did not taste any lamb whatsoever, and I doubt it was in there. read more

Because they have right around 8 food trucks at any given day, you can really choose from different types of food to enjoy which makes eating in a group of people so much easier.
