Classic cheesesteak with Dee's cheese sauce
MJ L.

This place is a foodie's dream! So far we've had the beef cheesesteak, chicken cheesesteak, and the buffalo chicken tater tots. We are a house divided between the Cooper cheese and Dee's special cheese sauce. Both are amazing in their own rights. I feel like the chicken on the buffalo tater tots comes from a can, but nobody else agrees with me. The texture is off for me, but I'm wildly insane when it comes to food textures. Other than that, this place is heaven sent.

This is the best damn cheesesteak I've ever put my mouth on. Tried both the buffalo chicken and the original Philly cheesesteak fully loaded minus the hot peppers because I'm a wimp but let me tell you this is the best food I've ever eaten! You guys really gotta check this out. The owners are super awesome. Very friendly great place to eat.

Whiz wit (with onions) and fries/whiz. Heaven

This is the best authentic Philly cheesesteak in the cape and it's not close at all. (In a pinch I'll go to Lenny's or Jersey Mike's but meh.) Check their FB and see where they're heading out to that week. Gabby is really nice and her and Gabe hold it down despite the fact that sometimes the lines can stretch around the block. Sadly I can't eat them as much as I used to due to my diet/exercise routine but I still go once or twice a month for a cheat day. Since I'm a PA native I have to have the wit whiz and onions, and I do the fries with a side of whiz. $14.50.

Classic meat, Philly with sautéed onions with Dee's homemade cheese, and a side of loaded tots

Absolutely the best cheesesteak I've had in the state of Florida! I ordered a classic cheesesteak with onions and Dee's cheese. Their homemade cheese was on spot, and plenty of it.. And as a side, I got the loaded tots. OMG, they were incredible and they didn't skimp on the bacon. And of course, not to forget the service, which was awesome. I highly recommend you trying out there Philly cheesesteaks whenever you can. Being a personal chef from New York it's a big thing when you come across food that you like.

The real deal! Great Philly sandwich. Service was quick, they're working hard in there. Constant flow of customers. I had the Philly with Mushrooms, Onions and Cooper Sharp American. Perfect bread choice for a cheese steak, it held up well. Very hearty sandwich. I will be back again.

My first time trying Dee's. Well, it looks like I may have to start working out... wonderful cheese steak sandwich. Chock full of steak and cheese. I had to shower after eating this. Nice size sandwich that will fill you up. It was delicious and I will be back, several more times.

The photos don't do it justice! This cute little food truck serves up authentic Philly cheesesteaks for $10 along with great sides like tater tots and fries. They even have a Philly cheesesteak taco! Their cheesesteaks are so good! Their bread comes from Philly! They are a mobile food truck so I had to stalk them on Insta and Facebook to find their current location. I got there right at 11 am and a line was already formed. I didn't have to wait long though because Gabby and her uncle have their operation down to a science.

Delicious !

Red Roc had parked out front on a slow Saturday afternoon, wafting in-taco-cating smells (get it??) all over the place. I'm still doing that pescetarian thing right now, and thankfully Red Roc cooks up a mighty fine shrimp taco. And they DON'T PUT CHEESE ON IT. Thank you! Seafood never needs cheese! Just MOAR cilantro please. All over my body. Jeff had the "chef taco" which looked like ground beef. We both had the hot salsa (which was flavorful and delicious, though not spicy to me). And the tacos come in soft corn tortillas, two on each taco. I didn't really get why they each needed two tortillas (twice the calories). But it did wonders for the texture. When I asked the chef, he confirmed that, yes, the tortillas are handmade everyday. These guys deserve a standing ovation for that alone. But wait, there's more. They have a "walking taco" riff on their menu--all the taco fixings (ground beef, I think) thrown into a crunched up bag of doritos, ready to be devoured via fork. Shut up and take my money!

It hasn't been easy finding real Latin food in Charlotte, but we have definitely found our spot for delicious, authentic, Puerto Rican food! Do not! I repeat, Do Not be discouraged by the "food truck" dining or you'll miss out one some of the best Monfongo in town! They have their schedule on Facebook which is how we found them and tracked them down. We managed to catch them tonight in Mooresville at King Canary Brewery and we got there early! We have been craving some Mofongo and they did not disappoint. I wish I would have asked their names as they were both extremely friendly and helpful. But not to worry as I expect to be regulars. They have a sufficient menu with chicken, shrimp, pork and beef and it's full of flavor! If you've never had "Mofongo" (a Puerto Rican dish with fried plantains as its main ingredient. Plantains are picked green and fried, then mashed with salt, garlic, and oil) you don't know what you're missing. I highly recommend "My Boricua Kitchen" and I will definitely be back! FYI: They also make Pasteles (don't forget, no olives)

FOOD TRUCK review. I've been wanting to sample the wares of…read morethe Rollin' Raw Bar for some time now, and I finally got my chance. RRB seems to be a very active food truck, and their calendar is packed with venues. Their menu is packed with good eats! I wanted to try the tuna poke, but the fresh tuna hadn't come in yet. For those who don't know: what tuna poke is, it's a Hawaiian ceviche. That's the best way I know how to describe it. Also, it's pronounced: "po-KAY"! Now, you can order it like a local! Also on the menu, raw oysters, complete with a menu board telling you where they're from: Which state and body of water, which I thought was pretty cool. Even though they didn't have tuna on hand this day, it still tells me that they were insisting on fresh ingredients. I'm good with that! I went with my second choice: Bacon, egg, cheese, avocado, salsa sandwich, with a side of pork dumplings. I call them "pot-stickers". I was assured that the sandwich was, "substantial". After observing safe money and food handling procedures, I received my order quickly. She was right, the sandwich was rather substantial! The order of pork dumplings was what seemed like the mass-produced frozen ordered type found in any Asian restaurant that sells them. That's not to say they weren't good, because they definitely were! A side of dipping sauce was provided for flavor enhancement. The sandwich was also incredibly tasty. While very filling, it wasn't heavy. None of it was. The fresh flavor combination really worked. The price wasn't bad. I think it was $13 for both items, which seemed fair. When the Rollin' Raw Bar returns, I'll definitely make my way through the rest of their menu. Good stuff! (The webside link seems to be broken. RRB's Facebook page seems to have a lot of good info.)

They shuck up raw, ice cold premium Oysters from the Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific Coasts & serve with a variety of garnishes that complement the oysters' briny flavor. Additionally, they offer an array of Yellowfin Tuna dishes, delicate Sushi, sapid Ceviches, cold Ramen, savory Fish Tacos and their famous velvety, Spicy Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Everything on the hand-crafted, chalkboard menu is as fresh as it comes, from the Oyster Flights to the Tuna Poke (my fave) to the Tataki. And of course, they serve up items "fresh" off the grill too, from the Baha Mahi Tacos to Pork Dumplings to a whole host of melty Sandwiches. The most popular, delectable Tuna Ceviche, is made with delicate tuna, creamy avocado, juicy tomato and rice-vinegar marinated cucumbers and then hand tossed in a flavorful, citrus soy marinade with fresh cilantro & jalapeño. They're moving fast on wheels...so follow them on Facebook to see where you can catch them next. AH-mazing.
